WATCH: Another Former WWE Star Makes AEW Debut

He’s another one on the list. The rise of AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works as there are now several different spots available for various wrestlers. Rather than having WWE as the only major promotion for wrestlers to go to, AEW has offered somewhere new for the wrestlers to go. Some former WWE stars will appear in AEW and now another name has. This week on AEW Dark, former WWE star Sawyer Fulton, now known as Madman Fulton, made his AEW debut, teaming with Ativalu and Troy Hollywood in a losing effort against the Dark Order. During the show, he only appeared under the name “Fulton”. Since leaving WWE, Fulton had appeared in Impact Wrestling as the enforcer for Ace Austin. There is no word on if Fulton will be appearing for AEW on a regular basis going forward. It was a big show. Check out the full episode of Dark (Fulton’s match begins at about 47:55): [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is the kind of signing that might be able to lead somewhe..

REVIEW: Impact Wrestling Hard To Kill 2022: They’re Really Good

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Hard To Kill 2022 Date: January 8, 2022 Location: The Bomb Factory, Dallas, Texas Commentators: Tom Hannifan, D’Lo Brown The company is back on pay per view for one of only four times this year. The show has some big matches set, including Matt Cardona and W. Morrissey challenging Moose for the World Title in a three way, plus Knockouts Champion Mickie James defending against Deonna Purrazzo in a Texas Deathmatch. Let’s get to it. Pre-Show: Madman Fulton vs. Jake Something Fulton forearms him to the floor to sta..

Pre-Show: Madman Fulton vs. Jake Something Fulton forearms him to the floor to start but can’t hit a chokeslam off the apron. Instead, he settles for knocking Jake into the ring and unloading in the corner. A neckbreaker gets two on Jake and a high crossbody gives Fulton two. Jake fights up in a hurry and clotheslines him outside though, setting up a big dive. Back in and a Batista Bomb gets two but Fulton grabs him by the throat and nips up from the mat. The chokeslam gets two but Fulton tries it again, allowing Jake to slip out. Into the Void gives Jake t..

Wrestling Legend Undergoing Surgery While Fighting Cancer

Hopefully the surgery makes things better. Wrestlers are larger than life characters who we watch on TV every week, but there are things that take place when the cameras go off. Unfortunately some of these things are a lot more serious than others, including a wrestler’s health. That is the case again with a wrestling legend, who is undergoing a procedure while already in pretty serious shape. Bobby Fulton, most well known as part of the Fantastics tag team, has announced that he underwent throat surgery on Monday. There is no word on what Fulton’s surgery is for, though he was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2019. Fulton retired from wrestling in 2020, following a forty three year career in wrestling. He last wrestled on December 14, 2019 in an eight man tag at Bobby Eaton: A Night Of Appreciation. Having surgery today on my throat! Please pray for wisdom for the surgeons and that all goes well! Thank you! pic.twitter.com/lPSIeufPMe — Bobby Fulton (@TheBobbyFulton) November 15, 202..

Ex-WWE Star Reveals How WWE Used Sanity’s Ideas For Retribution

What could have been. There have been a lot of stales in WWE history and some of them do not receive a lot of attention. For every Evolution, there are several more which do not make the biggest impact. That can leave a lot of groups mostly lost to history, but every now and then you see a bit of a reference to one of them. It turns out that was the case last year, but it was not exactly what you would have expected. In an interview with Fightful Select, former WWE star Alexander Wolfe revealed that several of the original ideas for the Retribution stable was pitched by Sanity when they were called up to SmackDown in 2018. Several of the same ideas are now being used by Eric Young, the former leader of Sanity, in his Violent By Design stable in Impact Wrestling. Sanity was part of WWE from April 2018 until April 2019. Wolfe was part of the Sanity stable along with Young, Killian Dain, Nikki Cross and Sawyer Fulton, the latter two of whom did not appear with them on SmackDown. The tea..

Impact Wrestling Rebellion 2021 Results

Rebellion 2021 Date: April 25, 2021 Location: Skyway Studios, Nashville, Tennessee Commentators: D’Lo Brown, Matt Striker Rich Swann vs. Kenny Omega, title for title. I would talk about the rest of the show but none of it matters in the slightest, which you would know if you have been watching the TV shows. Nothing else has gotten any significant attention in the build, which does make some sense. Hopefully it lives up to the considerable hype. Let’s get to it. The opening sequence focuses on Omega vs. Swann, with Omega talking about how being the best goes so far beyond being the best in the ring. The rest of the card gets far less attention. X-Division Title: TJP vs. Ace Austin vs. Josh Alexander Austin, with Madman Fulton, is defending. Alexander and TJP go after the champ to start with Austin kicking Alexander in the head. TJP gets taken down so Alexander goes for the ankle lock on Austin. That’s broken up so Alexander gets caught in TJP’s Octopus hold. With that not lasting lon..

Impact Wrestling Results – April 21, 2020 (Rebellion Night One)

Impact Wrestling Date: April 21, 2020 Location: Skyway Studios, Nashville, Tennessee Commentators: Madison Rayne, Josh Matthews It’s the first night of Rebellion and it’s taking place in an empty arena, just like all of the other big shows at this point. I’m not sure what we’re going to see due to how many people might not be available for the show and that could make for an interesting show. The company has done well in recent weeks so hopefully they can keep it up. Let’s get to it. The opening video talks about how everyone wants to be here and make their mark. OVE vs. Tommy Dreamer/Rhino/??? It’s mystery partner time and it’s….Crazzy Steve? Dreamer and Jake Crist trade standing switches to start before the former rolls out of a wristlock. Jake takes him down and does a nipup before challenging Dreamer to do the same. It doesn’t work so Rhino and Steve come in to help him with oneSteve and Madman Fulton come in but Steve isn’t THAT crazzy, meaning it’s off to Rhino instead. Some f..

Impact Wrestling Date: March 10, 2020 Location: Sam’s Town Live, Las Vegas, Nevada Commentators: Don Callis, Josh Matthews It’s a big showdown match this week as we have the fifth match in a best of five series between Eddie Edwards and Michael Elgin. The winner gets the World Title shot at Tessa Blanchard at Rebellion and that means we have something special tonight. You have to have a good main event like that so hopefully this one works. Let’s get to it. Opening recap. Opening sequence. Mad Man Fulton vs. Rhino The Crists are at ringside….and get ejected early on for trying to interfere. With the two of them gone, Rhino shoulders him down and takes it to the floor for a ram into the apron. A clothesline hits the post though and Fulton sends him into the apron as well. Back in and Fulton pounds away in the corner, followed by a running shoulder to the ribs. Rhino fights back up with some right hands to the head, only to get elbowed right back down for two. The chinlock (or cobra..

Bobby Fulton On Roman Reigns: “Get Rid Of Him Or Turn Him Heel. It’s Plain And Simple!”

Well-known wrestler “Fantastic” Bobby Fulton was interviewed by James Walsh on Interactive Wrestling Radio where he explained why Roman Reigns should be fired from WWE. On deciding to call it a career and retire: “I was actually going to retire last year in November. The reason I decided it was time to jump off is I’ve still got pretty good health and I’d like to keep it that way. I’m 57 years old. When I get in that ring, I want to give it my all. The thing of it is, 40 years is good. It was a dream of mine as a kid. I spoke to an elementary school today. Yeah, I told those kids if they have a dream and a desire and a passion than they can accomplish those dreams. I mean that. Yeah, I want to tell every child that. I had a chance to live a dream. Not only that, sir, but I got a chance to go further than I ever thought that I could.” On being paired with Tommy Rogers for the “Fantastics” team: “Well, Tommy and I met in Memphis, TN for Jerry Jarrett’s company. He was a singles wrestler..

Original Plans Revealed for SAnitY

<p>While speaking on the Pancakes and Powerslams podcast, former NXT Superstar Marcus Louis revealed that he was originally planned to take the leadership role in the SAnitY faction.</p><p><em>“Initially, SAniTy was supposed to be Sami Callahan, myself, and <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/sawyer-fulton" title="Sawyer Fulton">Sawyer Fulton</a></strong>. [We] were the the three people who were supposed to be SAniTy at first. I was told about this idea in late 2015. It was September 2015, I think, I was told by <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/triple-h" title="Triple H">Triple H</a></strong> himself. He came [and said], ‘I have this great idea for you guys. We’re gonna bring you in as a trio of sort of like punk-looking people, sort of like Mad Max.’ And then it was supposed to be <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/crowe/" title="Crowe">Crowe</a></strong>, myself, and Fulton. But he was like long-term, and it was a long shot already. So Callahan left NXT, and then there was a different talk. They were talking about bringing in somebody new to be the leader of this faction.”</em></p><p>You can check out the <a href="http://www.blogtalkradio.com/pancakesandpowerslams/2017/05/10/pancakes-and-powerslams-episode-267" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">full interview here</a>.</p>
