By His Ruling: Lawsuit Filed Against WWE By MLW Dismissed, Case Not Over Yet

Dismissed for now. While WWE is the biggest and most powerful wrestling promotion in the world, they are certainly not the only one. The company has dominated the industry for so long but there are still several other promotions to be found. One such promotion was not happy with WWE’s actions and did something about it, but that has not turned out very well for them. This week, according to PWInsider.com, US District Court Judge Edward J. Davila dismissed the case, basically saying that MLW did not make a strong enough argument to back up claims of WWE violating antitrust laws. So much for that. WWE is a huge wrestling company. Actually they’re a pretty big company no matter what profession we’re talking about. They have very deep pockets and all kinds of resources. That means people are going to come after them, even if there’s not much validity to the claims made. Some of those claims were brought up again in recent years, but this time they’re going in WWE’s favor. According to PWInsider.com, a US District Court Judge in Connecticut has dismissed all lawsuits currently against WWE in regards to concussions. The lawsuits, many of which have been filed by attorney Konstantine Kyros over the last several years, claimed that WWE was responsible for a variety of head injuries due to not properly advising the wrestlers on the risk of such injuries. <p>Several non-reliable websites reported yesterday that Orlando PD issued an arrest warrant over the Orlando airport incident that involved <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/paige" title="Paige">Paige</a></strong> and Alberto El Patron.
