That’s something special. There are all kinds of things that need to come together to make a wrestler a success. At or near the top of the list is the ability to talk, as it can make the fans care about you in a way that almost anything in the ring just cannot do. Being able to use the right words help, and now another WWE star is revealing a special privilege that she has when it comes to talking. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Oh No: Former Impact Wrestling Star Arrested For Violating Order of Protection Involving Wife During a new interview with Sports Media with Richard Deitsch, Monday Night Raw star Rhea Ripley revealed that she has some creative freedom with promos. While there are promos where she is required to say certain things to get points across and cannot change much, she has “free range” on backstage segments. Such freedom when it comes to promos are not common in WWE, with only a handful of wrestlers being granted such permission. Ripley is quite the star. Check out her rece..
That’s some heeling. Being a villain in wrestling can be rather difficult, as there is a very fine line to be walked between making the fans mad and going too far. A talented villain can make it work very well, but there are always going to be issues with crossing a line. Such a line might have been crossed this weekend, but the promotion did what they could to make up for it. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Gotcha: Surprise Heel Turn Takes Place At AEW Revolution During the main event of AEW Revolution over the weekend, Maxwell Jacob Friedman took a drink from a fan and threw it on a child. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, it turns out that the cup contained tequila, which Friedman did not know, thinking it was water. Tony Khan also reportedly spoke to Friedman about the incident. That didn’t ..
That explains it. The wrestling world has changed quite a bit in recent years as different companies have started to work together. While there would previously be occasional crossovers between promotions, it was rare to see one company working together with another. Now we are seeing it more frequently, which is what was on display this week in a big way. They aren’t done yet. WWE has a lot of television time in any given week and they often fill it with a good deal of action. That is the best way to advance storylines, but there is often more stuff that needs to be done after the show is over. You will occasionally see something take place after the show is over, which was the case this week as the violence continued after Monday Night Raw. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: What Could Have Been: Here Are WWE’s Original (And Different) John Cena WrestleMania Plans WWE has posted a video to its YouTube page showing Piper Niven attacking Candice LeRae after Monday Night Raw. LeRae was talking about how important her win over Niven had been and was being asked about Nikki Cross’ involvement when Niven attacked. Niven also told LeRae that she was coming for Cross. Cross’ distraction allowed LeRae to roll up Niven for the pin earlier in the night. Things got violent. Check out the attack, plus what led us here: [This post contains video, click to p..
Run it back. Every so often, you will run across a match that is built almost solely on emotion. The build to the match goes so well that by the time it actually rolls around, you almost have to see what happens. That can make for some very special moments and it is even better when you get to see the match take place. Now we are going to get to see the rematch. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He’s In Charge: Former WWE Champion Set To Host WrestleMania 39 The main event of WWE Elimination Chamber saw Sami Zayn challenging Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title in Zayn’s hometown of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. NXT LVL Up Date: February 24, 2023 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Blake Howard, Byron Saxton It’s another LVL Up and again I’m not sure what to expect. The best formula around here seems to be having some midcard NXT stars in the main event and the younger stars filling in the rest of the show. That has worked well in the past, but you never know what direction the show is going to take. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Axiom vs. Kale Dixon Dixon works on the arm to start but Axiom reverses into an armbar of his own. A springboard kick to the side of the head drops Dixon but he’s right back with some clubbing forearms. They trade kicks to the ribs until Dixon gets two off a delayed vertical suplex. Axiom strikes his way out of a chinlock and there’s a high crossbody. The Golden Ratio finishes for Axiom at 4:35. Result: Axiom b. Kale Dixon – Golden Ratio (4:35) Myles Borne and Tank Ledger are different on paper but they can win together tonight..
