The two hugged, with Morgan telling her that she couldn’t leave a fan crying out there like that after a match. She’s a friend. There have been several teams throughout the years in WWE and some of them develop quite the friendship during their time together. Every so often you will see that friendship continue after the wrestlers leave a promotion, but it is much rarer to see it continue when one star is in a different promotion entirely. Mutual respect. After Smackdown went off the air this past week, WWE shot and released some footage of Santos Escobar and Rey Mysterio backstage. They showed mutual respect for each other, as well as exchanged Lucha masks. You can see the clip below: [This post contains video, click to play] Both Escobar and Mysterio competed in a Fatal-4-way match to determine the No. 1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship. Both Escobar, Mysterio, along with Karrion Kross would come up on the losing end of the battle, while Madcap Moss would pick up the victory. He will face Gunther next week for the championship. In the clip, Escobar talked about being a little kid and watching Mysterio with his father. During an appearance on Tim & Friends, Undertaker revealed that he was always available for Wyatt if he ever wanted to talk or had questions. There have been multiple title matches set for the show, but several matches still need to be made official for Los Angeles. He deserved it. The most tragic wrestling story of the year so far is the sudden death of Jay Briscoe, who was killed earlier this week in a car accident. The accident has caused people to look back at everything Briscoe did in his career, which included a variety of championships and accomplishments. Now the tributes have begun pouring in, as the wrestling world remembers an incredible talent. She and Karrion Kross battled the team of Emma and Madcap Moss in a tag team match at a live event in Wheeling, West Virginia. Scarlett has only been featured as Kross’ valet since their debut with the company in 2020.
