He Did What? More On Huge Upset This Week On AEW Dynamite

He’s new. Wrestlers can have a very long shelf life in their careers as they are able to stay in the ring for several years. They can move up and down the card at various points in their career but at some point, someone has to get a special win over another star. We saw that this week on national television and now we know something else about how the whole thing came together. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Back Soon: AEW Star Reveals Recent Knee Surgery This week on AEW Dynamite, Action Andretti made his debut on the she and defeated Chris Jericho in an upset. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Jericho himself came up with the idea for Andretti to defeat him. Jericho saw Andretti face QT Marshall on the October 11 edition of Dark and decided to help Andretti become a star. However, Jericho was forced to wait until the end of his feud with Claudio Castagnoli before he could go through with his plans. AEW has since announced that Andretti has been signed to the company. Congratulations..

Congratulations! Two Former WWE Stars Get Married

Good for them! Wrestlers have some very busy schedules and that does not leave them with a lot of free time to do other things. With all of the traveling and wrestling in various places, it can make things more than a little complicated. This includes romance, but there are ways to make it work. Two wrestling stars have managed to make it work in a rather important way. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Update On Bandido’s AEW Deal, What Led Him To Sign Former WWE and current Impact Wrestling stars Deonna Purrazzo and Steve Maclin were married this week. The two have posted a photo to Twitter showing them together and saying “Good morning, the Kupryks”, using Maclin’s last name. There were Impact Wrestling stars in attendance at the wedding, including Tasha Steelz, Chelsea Green and Matt Cardona. Good morning. I always love when superstars share their personal lives and find happiness outside of the ring...

They Did! Two Former WWE Stars Have Gotten Married

Congratulations! Wrestling is a complicated industry as you have no idea when the wrestlers are going to be able to find free time for anything outside of the ring. The wrestlers are on the road almost constantly and romantic relationships can be even more complicated than anything else. Some wrestlers have figured it out though, even while working for different promotions. During a recent appearance on the Sessions podcast with Renee Paquette, AEW’s Toni Storm revealed that she and New Japan’s Juice Robinson have been married. The two had previously announced their engagement, with Storm saying that they had been planning a wedding before just deciding to get married one morning. There is nothing to indicate that the two will be wrestling together anytime soon. Opinion: This is one of those things that you do not see happen very often but it is always special no matter what happens. Storm and Robinson work for different companies but seem to have found a way to pull this off. Good f..

Sammy Guevara & Tay Conti Announce Their Engagement

Wedding bells will be ringing! According to a report from TMZ, Sammy Guevara proposed to Tay Conti at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, earlier today. She said yes, and the couple is now engaged! The two have been a couple since January 2022. They have been regularly featured as an on-screen couple as well. This is not Guevara’s first proposal; he was in a relationship for eight years with Pamella Nizio, a medical worker from Houston. In August 2021, he proposed to her at an AEW show in Houston in the middle of the ring; however, they split up soon afterward in October. The two were recently in a trios match at the 2022 Double or Nothing pay-per-view. Together, they teamed with Frankie Kazarian to take on the team of Ethan Page, Scorpio Sky, and Page Van Zandt in a losing effort. Congratulations to the happy couple! Editor’s Opinion: I’m sure this will cause some controversy because there are some AEW fans who do not approve of this couple and how they act on screen. However, if..

Congratulations! Two Wrestling Stars Get Married

That’s the special moment. Wrestlers do a lot of things in the ring and in front of the camera as part of their job. There is very little free time as part of being a wrestler, meaning they have to use what they have as well as possible. That involves several different moments, with one of the most important taking place earlier this week between two stars. WWE’s Charlotte and AEW’s Andrade El Idolo have officially been married, with the ceremony taking place on Friday. The two have been together for over a year, including when they both worked for WWE. Charlotte is currently on hiatus from WWE for the sake of her wedding, with her most recent match taking place at WrestleMania Backlash as she lost the SmackDown Women’s Title to Ronda Rousey. El Idolo’s most recent AEW match took place on the April 20 Dynamite when he lost to Darby Allin in a coffin match. This is beautiful. Check out some clips from the wedding: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, ..

WWE Star Wins Prestigious And Historic Honor

That’s quite the honor. Wrestlers are known for winning championships, but one of the problems is that eventually most of those championships are lost. A wrestler is known as a former champion, but that is not exactly the same thing as continuing to hold a title. There are some titles that last forever though, and now a WWE star has won another one of those, albeit in a different kind of wrestling. WWE’s Gable Steveson has won the Danny Hodge Trophy, given to the NCAA’s top wrestler. Steveson becomes the first heavyweight to win the awards twice, having won it last season as well. He also won the NCAA Heavyweight Championship for the second year in a row and is expected to make his WWE debut at some point in the near future, having signed with the company after winning an Olympic gold medal last year. Congratulations to @GableSteveson on back-to-back Dan Hodge Trophy wins becoming the first heavyweight to win the award multiple times! pic.twitter.com/dyM70fAZQW — WWE (@WWE) March 28,..

Wrestling World Reacts To Tony Khan Buying Ring Of Honor

There are a lot of reactions. The wrestling world was changed in a pretty big way this week as AEW President Tony Khan announced that he has purchased Ring of Honor Wrestling. This means that the promotion will continue, though it is not entirely clear where everything is heading. It does mean that people are excited though, and now the wrestling world is reacting to the news. Following Khan’s announcement this week on AEW Dynamite, the wrestling world has reacted to the news, including several legends, AEW wrestlers and former Ring of Honor stars. Here are some of the highlights, including comments from some stars who might be popping up again in the new Ring of Honor when it relaunches on April 1 with Supercard of Honor: As far as major announcements go, @TonyKhan acquiring @ringofhonor is pretty freaking major! — Mick Foley (@RealMickFoley) March 3, 2022 Congratulations @TonyKhan !!! Let me know if you are interested in @ringofhonor Women’s Division. They are incredibly talented..

Yes And Yes: Former WWE Stars Get Married

It’s a special occasion. Wrestlers have a lot to cover on a weekly basis. Between going from town to town and show to show, there is only so much free or leisure time to be had. That can make a variety of things difficult, but sometimes even the busiest wrestlers can find time to do something they want. Such a thing took place this weekend and it was a very important moment. Former WWE wrestlers Keith lee and Mia Yim were married over the weekend. Fellow former WWE star Tegan Nox posted photos online, showing the two both at their wedding and their reception. The two have been engaged since February 11, 2021. Both Lee and Yim were released from their WWE contracts in November 2021. They are both free agents, but neither has wrestled a match since being released from the company. awwww ?? Big congrats to Mia Yim & Keith Lee #yimitless pic.twitter.com/mGYfTQYaE5 — ??????? {#????????????} (@BCis4Life) February 5, 2022 Congratulations to @RealKeithLee And @MiaYim ??? pic.twitter.com..

Another Former WWE Wrestler Officially Signs With AEW

Another one on the list. The rise of AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works as there is now a second major promotion where wrestlers can find work. That is a great change after so many years of WWE dominance, as you can only get so far with one company. Now a wrestler who was with WWE just last year has found a new home and it might be a better fit. AEW has announced that former NXT star Jake Atlas has officially signed with the company. This comes after Atlas made an appearance on AEW Dark: Elevation last month. Atlas is a former NXT star who was in August 2021. He had wrestled a match at Ring of Honor’s Death Before Dishonored event before taking a hiatus from the wrestling industry. The AEW match was his first in over three months. Congratulations on winning your tryout match last night, Jake Atlas! What a great @AEW debut, and now @kennymarquez, I’ll see you Tomorrow night in Newark at the debut of #AEWDynamite on @TBSNetwork! Safe travels, and… Welcome to the team! #J..

AEW Dominates This Year’s PWI Tag Team 50 List

Add it to the trophy case. Tag teams have an interesting place in wrestling history, as it has been big in just about every promotion outside of WWE. Other promotions have emphasized it more over the years and as a result, WWE teams may not be as recognized as some others. That was the case again this year as another promotion has won a prestigious honor. Pro Wrestling Illustrated has announced that the Young Bucks have topped the PWI Tag Team 50 list. This is the second year that the list has been released and the second year in a row that an AEW team has been on top, following FTR last year. The Young Bucks were also on last year’s list at #11. The only WWE team in the top five was the Usos, who came in at #4 and were unranked last year due to Jimmy Uso’s knee injury. Here is the top 5: 1. The Young Bucks 2. Lucha Bros 3. Dangerous Tekkers 4. The Usos 5. ALK (Giulia & Syuri) Congratulations to Matt & Nick Jackson, The Young Bucks, for ranking #1 in the second annual PWI #TagTeam50..

WWE Superstar Gets One Of A Kind Recognition For Special Efforts

Add it to the list. WWE is known for a lot of things and some of them are less positive than others. However, there are a few things that they do rather well and it is cool to see them doing it again and again. That is certainly the case with their record on charity, as WWE has worked with a variety of groups over the years. Some of their individual wrestlers have as well, and now one of them has done something pretty big. Sligh Middle Magnet School has been renamed the Thaddeus M. Bullard Academy At Sligh Middle Magnet School, as named after WWE star Titus O’Neil. In a post on Instagram, O’Neil talked about what the dedication meant to him, saying that his association with the school is lifelong and he wants other students to have the same feeling that he had when he was in school. O’Neil has helped support the school over the years and promised to continue to do so. Congratulations to #WWE Global Ambassador @TitusONeilWWE on the unveiling of the Thaddeus M. Bullard Academy at Sligh..

Congratulations: WWE Couple Announce Their Engagement

Good for them! Wrestling is a very unique form of work and it comes with a rather unique lifestyle. Wrestlers are constantly on the road and it can be difficult to find a way to have a normal life. This certainly includes romantic relationships outside of the industry, but two current wrestling names have found a way around that. As it turns out, things seem to be going very well. Monday Night Raw’s Carmella has announced that she and WWE broadcaster are engaged, with Graves proposing to her on Saturday. Carmella accepted, though there is no word on when the two will be getting married. Graves and Carmella have been dating since 2019 and are now on the same WWE brands following the 2021 Draft. In addition, the proposal came on Carmella’s birthday. Best birthday ever ?? pic.twitter.com/tYb1PgG33K — The Most Beautiful Woman in all of WWE (@CarmellaWWE) October 24, 2021 The two have discussed their relationship on WWE programming before. Check out what they have done together, as well..

NXT Superstars Have A Baby On The Way

Congratulations! Wrestlers are an interesting subject as their job is to keep you believing a lie that they tell you every single week, even if everyone already knows it to be a lie. That is hardly the easiest thing to do but wrestlers have made it a bit of an art form. These same wrestlers have lives of their own though, and now two of them have gotten some very good news in those lives. NXT stars Candice LeRae and Johnny Gargano have announced that they are expecting their first child, which will be due in February 2022. As a result, LeRae will be out of action for the next several months. Her most recent match took place on the July 6 edition of NXT, when LeRae and Indi Hartwell lost the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships to Zoey Stark and Io Shirai. There is nothing to suggest that Gargano will miss ring time as well. The secret's out! Our team is getting a little bigger.. The best is on the way! ?? @CandiceLeRae pic.twitter.com/wUxo3ktgqC — Johnny Gargano (@JohnnyGargano..

WATCH: Amazing Wrestling Proposal (Contains Strong Language)

Yeah I’d say that’s memorable. There are certain moments in wrestling that fans are going to remember for a long time to come. Maybe it is something that stuck with fans because it was great or because I had some kind of emotional impact, but the connection is there. Sometimes it is personal, and that is the case for a couple of wrestlers who are ready to take a big step. This is one of those things you don’t forget. Check out a special proposal: [This post contains video, click to play] Independent wrestler Laynie Luck has posted a video to her Twitter showing her boyfriend, fellow independent wrestler GPA, proposing to her during a wrestling training session. Luck is sent into a corner and turns around, where GPA is on his knee holding the ring. The video has since been commented on or retweeted by various names in wrestling, including Mick Foley. Good one @GPAthinks ? congratulations guys!! — Mrs. Indi Wrestling Lumis (@indi_hartwell) April 26, 2021 Omg congrats ? — Salina de..

Why Was Nick Jackson Not at AEW Dynamite This Week?

He gets a pass. One of the most exciting parts of AEW is the presence of the Elite, which includes The Young Bucks. Nick and Matt Jackson are two of the most talented wrestlers in the world, however, fans noticed that Nick was missing from Dynamite this week. Why was that the case? According to the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Nick Jackson’s wife is about to give birth to the couple’s third child. As a result, he was not on television and won’t be back until she gives birth. He was written off of television at their recent “Revolution” pay-per-view, as AEW has said that he was injured. However, the tag team match with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega & “Hangman” Adam Page was going to be his last until his wife has given birth. Check out the Young Bucks in action: We at Wrestling Rumors send our congratulations to the Jackson family as they prepare to welcome their new bundle of joy into the world! Are you a fan of the Young Bucks, Matt and Nick Jackson? Leav..
