WATCH: Wrestling Legend Makes Surprise Appearance To Help Fellow Boss

There’s your cameo. There have been all kinds of wrestlers throughout history and some of them are names who do not make the biggest impact. Some of them make a short term impact and become a bit more infamous than famous, but they are not around all that long. Now one of the more memorable stars from WCW made an appearance in a spot you might not have expected him. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: It’s About That Time: Wrestling Legend Says He Does Not Have Much Time Left In The Ring Ernest “The Cat” Miller made a surprise appearance this week on Impact Wrestling, helping new Director Of Authority Santino Marella set up a six person tag match for later in the night. There is no word on if Miller will be appearing again for Impact Wrestling. Miller was a former WCW Commissioner during WCW’s final years before eventually wrestling and commentating for WWE. After a nearly ten year hiatus, Miller returned to the ring in 2015 and still wrestles occasionally. Miller certainly had some interesting ..

BREAKING: WrestleMania 36 WILL NOT Take Place in Tampa Bay

WWE has released a statement that WrestleMania 36 will not be taking place at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida. According to the Tampa Bay commissioner, Les Miller, the city was going to “pull the plug” if Vince McMahon did not make the decision to cancel the event. . Here is the statement from WWE.com: “In coordination with local partners and government officials, WrestleMania and all related events in Tampa Bay will not take place. However, WrestleMania will still stream live on Sunday, April 5 at 7 pm ET on WWE Network and be available on pay-per-view. Only essential personnel will be on the closed set at WWE’s training facility in Orlando, Florida to produce WrestleMania.” WrestleMania Update: https://t.co/DLbgSVYWZM — WWE (@WWE) March 16, 2020 As stated, WrestleMania, and all related events (i.e. Axxess, WWE Hall of Fame, NXT, Raw, and SmackDown) will not be held in Tampa Bay. There has not been an announcement on where these events will be, but the expectation..

Florida Government Officials Likely To “Pull The Plug” On WrestleMania

That doesn’t sound good. We are just over three weeks away from the scheduled date of WrestleMania 36 but at the moment, things are not looking very positive. There is a real chance that the show will not be taking place, as the worldwide spread of the Coronavirus may cause the show to be canceled. The decision currently lies in WWE’s hands, but that could change in a hurry. This past Thursday, the Tampa, Florida city government announced that they would be making a decision regarding WrestleMania 36, assuming that WWE did not make the decision in the first place. However, WWE has said that they will be continuing on with the show for the time being. That would suggest that the ball is in the government’s court, and they might make a decision in the near future. According to FOX 13 (Tampa), Hillsborough County Commissioner Les Miller said in a Friday interview that if WWE does not change course and cancel the show, the government would have to “pull the plug” and cancel the show them..

The McMahon Family’s Return: WWE’s Fresh Start or Recycled Storytelling?

WWE is trying something different with its two major brands. Monday Night Raw delivered something fresh in terms of leadership and the same was true of SmackDown Live the next night. Gone are the program’s General Managers and Commissioners. In their place is the McMahon Family. Vince, Stephanie, Shane and Triple H are now all assuming joint leadership over both brands. So when a decision is to be made on the air, that decision will presumably be made by one, or more, of the four. This is what WWE believes will right the ship. But is this really a fresh idea, or the same recycled storyline? Fans expected something big when Vince walked down the ramp on the December 17 edition of Raw. WWE promoted his appearance ad nauseam on social media in the days leading up to the show. Even if fans had not been paying attention all that much, there would have really been no way to miss it. The boss was coming back and he was going to “shake things up.” But the moment he received a standing ovatio..

Vince McMahon Returns To Raw This Monday To “Shake Things Up”

When the boss comes around, you know that things are about to go down. According to a new report from WWE.com, Vince McMahon will be making his return to Raw next Monday night, December 17. This appearance will take place one night after the 2018 TLC pay-per-view event. The Chairman made an appearance on Raw in January of 2018, on the 25th anniversary episode. You can see a clip of that below: [This post contains video, click to play] From WWE.com: The landmark appearance of The Chairman comes one night after WWE TLC, where Corbin intends to be named the permanent General Manager of Raw following a forfeit victory over the injured Braun Strowman in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match, per the stipulation handed down by Commissioner Stephanie McMahon. However, rumors abound that The Monster Among Men could make an appearance at this Sunday’s WWE TLC event and stop The Lone Wolf from assuming total control of Team Red. With Mr. McMahon’s return imminent, however, Corbin could have a l..

Major Match With Huge Stipulations Set For Tables Ladders And Chairs

The fallout from Sunday. One of the biggest stories coming into Survivor Series was that of Braun Strowman. After losing his latest chance at the Universal Title back at Crown Jewel, Strowman wanted one more shot at Brock Lesnar. The match was approved, providing that Strowman lead the Monday Night Raw team to victory at Survivor Series. Strowman did that, but it’s a little more complicated than that. This week on Monday Night Raw, Commissioner Stephanie McMahon said that Strowman can have his shot at Lesnar at the Royal Rumble, provided that Strowman can defeat Baron Corbin at Tables Ladders And Chairs. That was fine with Strowman, who decided the match would be a TLC match. However, if Corbin wins, Strowman doesn’t get a title shot and Corbin is the permanent General Manager. If he loses though, he’s out of power. Here’s how it went down: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: Just in case you wanted one of the few stories coming into Survivor Series to actually stic..

Braun Strowman Injured On Raw, WWE Announces Updates

Time to find out how much of a monster he really is. Tonight on Raw, Braun Strowman teamed with Elias and Finn Balor to take on the team of Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre in an elimination match. During the match, Corbin, Lashley and McIntyre gave Strowman a relentless beatdown, including crushing his arm with the steel steps. After the assault, The Monster Among Men was taken to a medical facility, where it was announced that he suffered a shattered elbow. You can see a video of the assault below: [This post contains video, click to play] From WWE.com: Earlier in the night, Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon scheduled a Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match between Strowman and Corbin at the WWE TLC pay-per-view. If Strowman defeats the Acting Raw GM, he will get a Universal Championship opportunity against Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble, and Corbin will lose all authority. If Corbin wins, then he will become the permanent General Manager of Monday Night Raw. Editor’s Op..

Here’s Why Stephanie McMahon Returned to Raw This Week

Despite being the commissioner on Monday Night Raw, Stephanie McMahon is rarely on WWE television and leaves the authority role to Kurt Angle for most of the year. It was a surprise when she arrived this week on the show to participate in multiple segments. Specifically, she hosted the contract signing for the upcoming Raw Women’s Title Match between Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey. A lot of fans took note that Stephanie was doing all the talking. There’s a good reason why WWE officials brought her back for the segment. Related: Stephanie McMahon on Ronda Rousey in WWE, Getting Bullied According to a report from RingSideNews, Stephanie McMahon carried the segment on the microphone because WWE officials didn’t believe Jax and Rousey could handle the mic work themselves. Neither Nia nor Ronda are great at cutting promos, so it makes a lot of sense for Stephanie to cover them and also make the feud seem more important. The company is doing everything in its power to present Ronda Rousey in t..

Shane McMahon Hospitalized Following Assault on “Smackdown Live”

It’s a good thing he’s taking time off when he is. WWE.com has posted an update on Shane McMahon’s condition, after he was attacked by Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens two weeks ago on “Smackdown Live.” The assault came after he announced that he was taking a leave of absence as commissioner of the blue brand. You can see a clip of the incident below: [This post contains video, click to play] From the report: Shane McMahon is currently recovering from acute diverticulitis and an umbilical hernia in a New York-area medical facility, WWE.com has learned. Two weeks ago on SmackDown LIVE, McMahon announced he would be taking an indefinite leave of absence from his position as the blue brand’s Commissioner. Following that announcement, McMahon was brutally attacked by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. WWE medical staff initially diagnosed him with a laryngeal contusion and trapezius and rhomboid strains as a result of the beating. Following the vicious assault, McMahon went to the Caribbean with ..

Watch: Shane McMahon vs. AJ Styles From WrestleMania 33

Don’t cross the boss. Unless it gets you a match on the “grandest stage of them all.” WWE has recently posted a new video to its YouTube page, which shows the full match between AJ Styles and Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 33. The build up to this was intense, and even involved McMahon going through a car window. You can see match in its entirety below: [This post contains video, click to play] WWE.com had the following to say about the match: It was a showdown destined to be chaotic from its inception. Several weeks earlier, having felt undervalued by SmackDown LIVE’s Commissioner, “The Face That Run the Place” opted to take matters into his own hands and hurl Shane-O-Mac through a car window. Others in power would have simply fired The Phenomenal One for this brutal action; in fact, Team Blue General Manager Daniel Bryan did fire Styles. However, McMahon overturned Bryan’s decision, for he saw an opportunity to earn Styles’ respect while making another incredible WrestleMania Mom..

Grudge Match Set for “Wrestlemania XXXIV”

And I’m sure it will stand. With “Wrestlemania XXXIV” less than a month to go, there are still several major matches left to be announced. Several of those are big time “Smackdown Live” matches as several matches have yet to be announced. As of tonight though, we have one less match to worry about. The participants didn’t react well. [This post contains video, click to play] At the end of this week’s episode of “Smackdown Live”, Commissioner Shane McMahon announced that Kevin Owens will face Sami Zayn at “Wrestlemania”. Owens and Zayn were angry at each other over their interactions during Sunday’s Six Pack Challenge at “Fastlane 2018”. The two then attacked McMahon to end the show, meaning the match still could be changed. You can read this week’s results here. Opinion: I’m not convinced that this match is going to stand as it was announced but at least they have a starting point. This could easily be turned into either a tag match or a triple threat with McMahon being added, ..

Shane McMahon Takes Leave as “Smackdown Live” Commissioner

So long, farewell? Over the last few months, the top story on “Smackdown Live” has been a power struggle between Commissioner Shane McMahon and General Manager Daniel Bryan. The two haven’t come to blows but they’ve clearly been having issues with each other for a long time now. However, something changed tonight which could make the story go away. The announcement didn’t go well for McMahon. [This post contains video, click to play] At the end of this week’s “Smackdown Live”, McMahon announced that he would be taking an indefinite leave of absence from his position as Commissioner. There is no word on how long he will be gone or if he will be back in the role at all. McMahon leaving his job will leave Daniel Bryan as the lone authority figure on “Smackdown Live” starting next week. You can read this week’s results here. Opinion: Thank goodness. I haven’t been a fan of McMahon’s time as Commissioner as he’s been all over the show and received far too much attention in the role. H..
