AEW Dynamite Results – March 15, 2023

Dynamite Date: March 15, 2023 Location: Canada Life Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz We’re in Canada this week and that means it is time for…well it doesn’t really mean much but the All-Atlantic Title is now the International Title with Orange Cassidy defending against Jeff Jarrett. Other than that we have MJF’s Re-bar Mitzvah, which should be quite the spectacle. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Here is MJF, complete with four women (one of who he kisses) and a chyron that says “Jewish AF” for the Re-Bar Mitzvah. He already had one of these back when he was a kid and it was awesome. Now though, he has beaten Bryan Danielson so it is time to do it again on the big stage because HE IS IRON MAN. MJF says hit the music so here are a bunch of people with a chair, meaning it’s time to dance in a circle (which I believe is a religious tradition)…but here is Jungle Boy to interrupt. Then it’s Sammy Guevara coming out as well. We’re only mis..

Below are some highlights from the interview: On his championship match with Roman Reigns: “I don’t know if I expected it (to come full circle), but I certainly hoped it would,” said Owens, whose real name is Kevin Steen. “Because when our whole feud started, we were doing it through the pandemic in empty buildings. So it’s gonna be nice to have at least one match in front of an actual crowd, considering we had some of our best matches against each other with nobody in the arena.” On Sami Zayn: “(His success) is no surprise to me. I’ve known how good (Zayn) was and how special of a talent he is for 20 years now,” Owens said. “It just took a while for him to get into a situation where he can showcase just how good he is..

Only Him: MJF Wins Award From ESPN And He Is Not Happy About It

That’s not a normal complaint. You can often recognize a star in the wrestling world when you see one and more often than not, it is someone who stands out. A wrestler who acts differently is going to get noticed a lot more easily and that can lead to a lot of success. That is the case with one of AEW’s top stars and now he is being recognized for his abilities. However, he isn’t exactly happy with the recognition. Here’s What Tony Khan Had Planned for Saraya if She Wasn’t Cleared to Wrestle

For the first time in five years, Saraya will finally make her in-ring return to the squared circle. It’s very exciting for the AEW fans and for Saraya herself to have the opportunity to perform after a five year absence. There hasn’t been any word on her training or how much she’s been in the ring over the past few months. AEW only just released the news that she was medically cleared to compete at Full Gear this past week. Tony Khan, who participated in the standard conference call before Full Gear, apparently didn’t have any concerns about Saraya being physically capable of performing in the ring when she signed with the company. New Law Inspired By Wrestler’s Suicide Officially Passed

That’s a big step. Wrestlers are celebrities and that means they are going to be receive attention, at least in some circles. At the same time, they are mainly only going be known for one thing. This can create some issues for wrestlers, especially if they are doing something outside of their norm. That was the case a few years ago and now, after a tragic incident, something is going to change. Back in May 2020, Japanese star Hana Kimura was a cast member on the Terrace House reality series in Japan. Her appearances were met with a series of online insults and harassment, which led Kimura to commit suicide. Now, according to NBC News, the Japanese government has passed a new law, making online insults punishable by up to a year in prison and a fine of up to 300,000 yen (about $2,260). The law is expected to go into effect this summer. Opinion: It is always fascinating to see a wrestler make this kind of an impact outside of the ring, though it is a shame that it has to take place due..

BREAKING: Stephanie McMahon Taking Leave Of Absence From WWE

Back in a bit? WWE is the biggest wrestling company in the world and that means it is going to take a lot of people to run it properly. The company has to have the right people in the right places to make it work and any change, especially at the top, can be a big deal. That is the case again, as one of the most prominent members of the company’s top team is stepping away. Stephanie McMahon has announced that she is taking a leave of absence from the majority of her responsibilities with WWE. McMahon says that she is taking time off to focus on her family and looks forward to returning to work, though no timetable is given. According to PWInsider.com, only the WWE’s inner circle knew about McMahon’s decision and everyone was “100% shocked by the news”. Opinion: This is a situation where speculation is the worst thing possible, as we have no idea why McMahon is leaving. There is every possible chance that McMahon has been working at a high level in a huge company for a very long time ..

Put It Together: AEW Considering Major, Violent Match Soon

They have a plan. There are all kinds of different matches you might see on a wrestling show, though most of the time the bigger ones are saved for some of the more important shows. That can make for some interesting moments, as a major match under the right setup can be quite the attraction for the promotion presenting it. Now we might be seeing another huge one soon. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, AEW is planning on presenting a Blood And Guts match in the near future, though the specific date is not known. The match will possibly feature the Jericho Appreciation Society against Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson of the Blackpool Combat Club, Eddie Kingston, Santana and Ortiz. AEW has run one Blood And Guts match in history, when the Pinnacle defeated the Inner Circle on May 5, 2021. Opinion: I like the idea of an annual match like this one, but it is a bit strange to see an all star team against the Jericho Appreciation Society. The team doesn’t have the lineup to hang in ther..

Longtime AEW Stable Breaks Up, New One Takes Its Place

It can’t last forever. There are a lot of stables in wrestling history and several of them have been nothing short of great. It can be an easy way to get multiple people onto a shot at once and offer a big story at the same time. Sometimes you get something very special, but there is almost always a split for the group as well. That was the case this week, with the biggest stable AEW has ever seen. This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite featured a segment between Chris Jericho and Eddie Kingston which saw the two of them shaking hands. After the two shook hands, Daniel Garcia and 2.0 came to the ring to attack Kingston. Jericho’s Inner Circle teammates Santana and Ortiz came to the ring but were attacked by Jericho, who turned on the two of them to split up the team. Jake Hager joined Jericho, Garcia and 2.0, with Jericho dubbing the new team the Jericho Appreciation Society. The Inner Circle originally debuted on October 9, 2019, the second week of Dynamite. Opinion: This is a surprise,..

REVIEW: AEW Dynamite – March 17, 2021 (St. Patrick’s Day Slam): The Big Fight

Dynamite Date: March 17, 2021 Location: Daily’s Place, Jacksonville, Florida Commentators: Excalibur, Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone It’s time for the next special show as we have a St. Patrick’s Day special. Penta El Zero M vs. Cody Rhodes During the intros, Penta (through a translator) promises to send Cody onto an early paternity leave. Penta jumps Cody during the entrances and we starts on the floor. Some kicks to the face and leg have Cody in more trouble and they head inside. Cody screams at Penta for chopping him and hits a release gordbuster. The Sling Blade gives Penta two and a Backstabber is good for the same. Penta starts going after Cody’s bad arm but he’s fine enough to send Penta out..

WWE Legend Signs New Contract With The Company

Welcome home. There are a lot of wrestlers throughout the history of the industry, but some of their names stand out over the others. That is certainly the case with some wrestling families, as certain families carry a lot of weight in the wrestling world. Sometimes you might not have known about them during their time in the ring, but the truth comes out later. Now things are coming a bit more full circle. According to the Daily Item (Sunbury, Pennsylvania), WWE Hall of Famer Samu has signed a new “nostalgia” contract with WWE. While not confirmed, this appears to be a Legends deal, meaning that WWE will produce Samu merchandise and have Samu make various appearances. Samu is part of the Anoa’i Family, best known for his time as part of the Wild Samoans. He is also the father of Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Opinion: This is something rather cool for Samu, who is indeed a legend in WWE’s history. He and Afa were one of the more dominant tag teams the company has ever had and it i..

So Long: AEW Stable Likely Splitting Up Soon

Go their own ways. Stables are a simple and effective idea in wrestling as they allow several wrestlers to be on screen at the same time. Rather than trying to find something for everyone to do, it can be a lot easier to group a bunch of them together under one idea. That can make things a lot easier, butit looks like we are going to be seeing one such group call it quits soon. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the Pinnacle is likely to split up soon. This comes as Wardlow has been turned into a babyface while the rest of the team is comprised of heels. The team has been slowly going their separate ways since the Stadium Stampede match to the Inner Circle earlier this year. There is no word on how the team will split or what is next for everyone. The team has done quite a bit during their time together.
