Dynamite Date: December 28, 2022 Location: 1st Bank Center, Broomfield, Colorado Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz It’s another stacked show this week with another Death Triangle vs. Elite match, plus the TNT Title is on the line as Samoa Joe defends against Wardlow. Other than that, we are going to hear from MJF, but Bryan Danielson might have something to say about him. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Bryan Danielson vs. Ethan Page Stokely Hathaway is here with Page…and hang on as here is MJF in a sky box to watch. We have the Major Brothers coming after the Tag Team Titles, Jordynne Grace vs. Mickie James set for a title vs. career match and Josh Alexander defending against Bully Ray. Rampage Date: December 9, 2022 Location: H-E-B Center, Cedar Park, Texas Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone We are a day away from Ring Of Honor Final Battle and odds are we are going to be seeing some of the very last build to the show. Other than that we have what should be a heck of a match between Konosuke Takeshita vs. Jon Moxley and Orange Cassidy defending the All-Atlantic Title against a mystery challenger. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Jon Moxley vs. Konosuke Takeshita Moxley takes him down by the arm to start before it’s time to stand and trade chops. With that not working, Moxley bites Takeshita’s head in the corner and then chops some more. With Don Callis watching, Takeshita sends him outside and over the barricade as we take a break. The Ring Of Honor Tag Team Titles are on the line as FTR defends against Top Flight, which has me wondering what is next for them at Final Battle. Speaking of Final Battle, it might be smart to announce something for the show. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Ring Of Honor Tag Team Titles: FTR vs. Top Flight FTR is defending. Harwood takes Darius down to start before quickly handing it off to Wheeler for some chops. Darius armdrags him into an armbar and it’s off to Dante, who gets forearmed in the head over and over. In this case that means we have some main roster stars in some Pick Your Poison matches for Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez. AEW has never gone international (at least on land) before and the crowds are often enough to carry the night. Hopefully they like Ring Of Honor stuff though, because that’s the main event this week. There have been some minor stories to set up some matches, plus a few appearances from bigger names. Then again, given this show’s track record, all of that will be dropped as soon as possible. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Dante Chen vs. Bryson Montana Montana runs him over to start so Chen grabs a headlock. Some takeovers give Chen some momentum and there’s a dropkick to stagger Montana. That’s about it for the offense though as Montana runs him over and hammers away on the mat. Rampage Date: July 8, 2022 Location: Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, New York Commentators: Excalibur, Taz, Jim Ross We’re in for a pretty stacked show this week with Konosuke Takeshita vs. Eddie Kingston and some Ring Of Honor stars, including World Champion Jonathan Gresham, getting their TV time. Throw in Orange Cassidy vs. Tony Nese for Swerve Strickland’s AEW contract, because reasons, and let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Konosuke Takeshita vs. Eddie Kingston They shove each other around to start and then head to the mat, with neither being able to go anywhere. Excalibur lets us know that we just saw a replay of Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Mitsuharu Misawa. Kingston takes him down and cranks on both arms, with Takeshita reversing into a double crank of his own. KB’s Review: Who Is AEW

Last weekend, AEW presented the first ever Forbidden Door pay per view, showing that the door is neither closed nor forbidden. The show focused on a series of matches between AEW and New Japan, meaning that the quality was very high with one good match after another. The same cannot exactly be said for the build to the show, which was choppy at best and all over the place (in a bad way) at the worst. That situation is kind of a microcosm of AEW’s entire history as a whole and that is what we are going to look at today. AEW has been around for a little over three years, with its first event taking place in May 2019. This came after All In from the previous fall, which was basically the result of a bet between the original Elite and Dave Meltzer. The whole thing then took on a life of its own and Tony Khan (and his wallet) got involved, setting the stage for the AEW we now know (at least in theory). She has chops. There are a lot of pieces that go into being a professional wrestler but at the end of the day, it is mainly about being a performer. A wrestler has to go in front of the crowd and make them care about what is going on. That can be easier said than done, but it is clear that wrestlers have some talent for being center stage. That was the case again this weekend. Over the weekend, WWE’s Alexa Bliss joined her husband Ryan Cabrera on stage at the Powell Festival in her hometown of Columbus, Ohio. Bliss performed part of Eminem’s Lose Yourself, with Cabrera joining her on guitar. Bliss has a bit of a history with music, including appearing in the music video for Bowling For Soup’s song Alexa Bliss, which is obviously named after her. This was pretty cool.
