Call it a crossover. Wrestlers receive a lot of criticism due to the pre-planned results of their matches, but it does not take away from the athleticism. The wrestlers that can get to the top of the industry are incredible athletes and some of the best you will find in any sport. That’s always cool. Wrestlers are able to do a lot of things with their celebrity status and it can often be rather positive. Sometimes you see a wrestler get to do something worthwhile that can help other people. That is the case again with some of the more popular wrestlers today and in this case, it is something that is going to help someone who is rather close to one of them. This week on AEW Dynamite, Dax Harwood told a story about his eight year old daughter facing heart surgery due to a hole in her heart. Harwood revealed that his daughter fought to get better, which will cause him to “fight like an eight year old” at Death Before Dishonor. He has since revealed a new t-shirt from Pro Wrestling Tees, featuring the “Fight Like An 8 Year Old Girl” moniker. Twice As Nice: WWE Star Does Something Amazing For Charity

That’s pretty awesome. There are all kinds of things that a wrestler can do outside of the ring and a lot of the time, it is something that can help others in need. A wrestler often has enough celebrity status to make something good happen and that is the case with one of WWE’s international stars. Not only have they done something very good, but now they have done it again. WWE star Sami Zayn has announced that his SamiForSyria charity has launched its second mobile medical unit. The units are designed to offer free of charge medical care for those displaced by the Syrian civil war. Zayn has promoted the idea since 2017, asking fans for donations to fund the units as well as their upkeep. Tommaso Ciampa Announces Very Cool NXT Auction For Charity

It’s for a good cause. Wrestling is a business and ultimately that means trying to make fans give up their money. That can be easier said than done, but there are times that make fans want to hand it over as fast as they can. It might be for a ticket, a new shirt, or getting to watch a show at home. This time though, some wrestlers are trying to get fans to pay for something for a better cause. NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa has announced that NXT will be auctioning off ten event used items from last week’s WarGames event. VIDEO: Three Released WWE Stars Make Surprise Appearances

Welcome back. There have been a lot of wrestlers released from WWE over the last year and a half. Those moves have changed the way the wrestling world works and that is not likely to be changing anytime soon. That makes for some rather interesting changes as other promotions are able to pick up some of the wrestlers here and there. That seems to be the case in triplicate this time around. Three recently released WWE wrestlers made appearances of some sort over the weekend. First, Taya Valkyrie, formerly known as Frankie Monet in NXT, appeared at AAA TripleMania and said that she was coming for Deonna Purrazzo Reina de Reinas Title. Also, former Universal Champion Braun Strowman, wrestling under his real name of Adam Scherr, appeared at GLCW Blizzard Brawl. The event was a charity show for the victims of the Waukesha, Wisconsin parade. Finally, Scarlett Bordeaux appeared at an MCW Pro Wrestling event, interfering in a match and attacking King McBride. Bret Hart Receiving Special Honor For Charity

That’s a unique honor. Wrestlers have a weird celebrity status as they are indeed television stars, but there is a pretty firm limit to what that can mean. Ultimately, they are only wrestlers and it is very rare to see them move higher up in the celebrity world. It does happen every now and then, and this time one of them is getting quite the honor for the second time. The Calgary Hitmen hockey team has announced the second annual Bret “Hitman” Hart game, which will take place in partnership with the Prostate Cancer Centre of Calgary on March 5, 2022. There will also be a Prairie Wrestling Alliance wrestling event after the game. The game will see the Hitmen wear special Hart themed jerseys, which will then be auctioned off, with proceeds going to the Prostate Cancer Centre. Hart has done some great things in the ring. WWE Superstar Gets One Of A Kind Recognition For Special Efforts

Add it to the list. WWE is known for a lot of things and some of them are less positive than others. However, there are a few things that they do rather well and it is cool to see them doing it again and again. That is certainly the case with their record on charity, as WWE has worked with a variety of groups over the years. Some of their individual wrestlers have as well, and now one of them has done something pretty big. Sligh Middle Magnet School has been renamed the Thaddeus M. Bullard Academy At Sligh Middle Magnet School, as named after WWE star Titus O’Neil. In a post on Instagram, O’Neil talked about what the dedication meant to him, saying that his association with the school is lifelong and he wants other students to have the same feeling that he had when he was in school. Mustafa Ali Is Doing Something Unique About Crown Jewel

That’s a nice thing to see. We are coming up on one of the biggest WWE events of the year, as Crown Jewel is taking place this Thursday. The show is going to be one of the highest profile on the WWE calendar and it could mean quite the payday for everyone involved. However, at least one wrestler is doing something a little different with his pay, and it won’t be the first time. Mustafa Ali has announced that he will be donating his earnings from Crown Jewel to charity. Ali only refers to the show as the 10/21 event rather than Crown Jewel. This is not the first time that Ali has donated his pay from a Saudi Arabian show to charity, as he did the same thing with Super Showdown in 2019. Ali is currently scheduled to face Mansoor at the show. That’s just nice. Every now and then, you find a wrestler who takes their celebrity status and runs with it. They will use their resources to help positively impact a community in one way or another, often through charitable activities. Sometimes a wrestler does more charity work than actual wrestling, with such a situation being on display during this week’s Monday Night Raw. This week’s Monday Night Raw featured a video on Titus O’Neil hosting the 4th Annual Back To School Bash at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. The event saw 30,000 children receive backpacks full of school supplies as they begin the new year. O’Neil has been regularly involved with charitable activities and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a recipient of the Warrior Award in 2020. He’s a good guy. In case he isn’t awesome enough. Every now and then you see someone in wrestling who does one cool thing after another. Of course they aren’t perfect and there are things that could use some adjusting, but you see something about them that makes them almost inspiring in a way. That is the case with one wrestling legend and now he is writing some of those inspirations down. Whether you are a fan of his or not, there is no denying that John Cena was a huge star during his time in WWE. Cena was the face of the company for a very long time and did a lot of things to make WWE better. One of the things that was seen well was his charity work with Make A Wish kids, with Cena shattering the all time record for most children visited. What Were the Original Plans for the ‘Mixed Match Challenge?’

The Mixed Match Challenge has had varied success since WWE created the show for users on Facebook Watch live after ‘Smackdown Live,’ but the Inquisitr has explained what the original plans for the series were. As it stands, the Mixed Match Challenge is a single elimination tournament between teams of both face and heel competitors from ‘Raw’ and ‘Smackdown Live.’ The winning team will be donating money to a charity of their choice. The initial plan for the finale was to pit Asuka and The Miz up against Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman. Both of these teams represent the ‘Raw’ brand and have significant charities attached to their names. Strowman and Bliss aim to raise money for Connor’s Cure. Former WWE Superstar CM Punk was eliminated on this week’s episode of MTV’s The Challenge: Champs vs. Pros. Punk lost his elimination challenge, which was against Gus Kenworthy. He received $1,000 for P.A.W.S.
