Former WWE Developmental Star Charged With Assault That Led To Woman’s Death

That’s a lot more serious. Wrestlers are larger than life characters but they are very real life people when the camera is turned off. You are going to hear about wrestlers doing run of the mill things, which is not exactly something that draws the most interest. Every now and then though, you hear about something that is a lot more serious, which is the case in another situation. According to the Detroit News, former WWE developmental wrestler Kyle Garrett Rasmussen (known as Conrad Tanner in FCW) was arrested on charges of attempting to strangle a man last month. Rasmussen allegedly attempted to choke the driver of a moving car but the driver was able to stop the car and escape. Rasmussen’s girlfriend fled as well but was struck by another car and killed. As a result, Rasmussen is facing a charge of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. Rasmussen wrestled for WWE from 2009-2010, when he was released. Very Important Update On Hangman Page’s Injury Status

That’s a huge relief. There are all kinds of ways for a wrestler to suffer an injury and you never want to see anything like that happen. Someone can be in the middle of a match and be taken down in an instant, which unfortunately is what happened this week. It became a question of what would happen next and now we have a very important, and thankfully positive, update. This week on AEW Dynamite, Hangman Page was injured in a match against Jon Moxley. Page was hit with a clothesline and landed on his head, resulting in the match being instantly stopped, with Page being taken out on a stretcher. AEW has posted an update on Twitter, saying that Page was taken to a hospital where he was diagnosed with a concussion and discharged. Cain Velasquez Pleads Not Guilty to Attempted Murder Charge

It had been previously reported that former UFC heavyweight champion and WWE superstar Cain Velasquez had been arrested on charges of attempted murder. He pleaded not guilty to these charges in Santa Clara (California) County earlier today. From ESPN: Velasquez, 40, is being charged with attempted murder and 10 other gun-related charges stemming from an incident where he allegedly chased down a man, Harry Goularte — who is being charged with molesting a young relative of Velasquez — and shooting a gun into Goularte’s vehicle, hitting Goularte’s stepfather, Paul Bender. Velasquez has been in jail since Feb. 28 and has been denied bail on three separate occasions. A pre-trial hearing in the case is scheduled for Sept. 26, where Geragos is expecting to be able to get witnesses to testify, the attorney said. If the case is not dismissed at that point, he said, it would then go to trial, which could begin before the end of the year. Geragos said the prosecution will not be calling Goula..

Back in 2021, WWE announced the Next In Line program, which was designed to find non-wrestling athletes and bring them into the WWE system, with the chance of eventually becoming WWE stars. The program has brought in several prospects, but now one of them is facing some very serious legal issues that could change his career path in a huge way. According to the Oklahoman, WWE NIL signee and former Oklahoma State University wrestler AJ Ferrari is facing a charge of felony sexual battery with a warrant being issued for his arrest. Ferrari was accused of holding a woman down in Stillwater, Oklahoma on July 2 and performing unwanted sexual acts on her. The woman filed an emergency protective order against Ferrari three days later. WWE has not commented on the situation or on Ferrari’s future with the NIL program. Michael Elgin Responds To Rumor Of Being Arrested For Stealing

And now, the other side. It can be difficult to find out what is really going on in wrestling as you will have someone saying one thing and someone else saying another. Throw in the fact that the majority of wrestling is built on the idea of people not telling the truth. This time around, two sides are telling two very different sides of a story and it could make quite the difference. Over the weekend, a rumor began circulating that former Ring Of Honor World Champion and current Pro Wrestling Noah star Michael Elgin had been arrested in Japan for stealing protein powder. This could have resulted in either jail time or expulsion from Japan as punishment. Elgin has since responded, saying that the story is not true and that he is leaving Japan to return to his native Canada after the death of a close relative. That’s not good. WWE has been trying to bring in a variety of new stars to bolster its roster, both for the present and the future. A lot of this has been through the Next In Line (NIL) program, as WWE has been able to sign college athletes to name, image and likeness deals. Those names have not appeared on WWE programming to date, though one of them seems less likely to appear ever. Accord to the O’Colly (Oklahoma State University’s student newspaper), WWE NIL signee AJ Ferrari has been removed from the Oklahoma State wrestling team amid an investigation of sexual assault. Ferrari, who has currently not been charged with any crime, was part of the initial NIL class in 2021 and has not wrestled for WWE. The company has not responded to the investigation. That’s a serious one. There are all kinds of wrestlers in the world and some of them are among the most larger than life characters that you will find in any form of entertainment. Watching them on television can be a lot of fun and you do not know what you might get to see from one week to the next. According to PWInsider.com, AEW’s Jake Atlas has been arrested and reportedly charged with domestic assault. Atlas had called his partner to pick him up at a bar before suggesting that the two go to a third person’s home. This resulted in an argument when Atlas’ partner paid more attention to the third person involved than Atlas. Eventually Atlas was taken back to the apartment he shares with his partner, who attempted to leave. Atlas reportedly attacked him and scratched his partner’s arm and tore his shirt. McMahon is a lot of things, including the most powerful person in the wrestling world, but he does not have the cleanest past in the world. There are several scandals and situations throughout McMahon’s history. Now we are about to see a closer look at one of the bigger ones. WWE has announced that it will partner with Blumhouse Studios on a limited scripted series called “The United States Of America vs. Vince McMahon.” The series will focus on McMahon being charged with steroid distribution in 1994. VIDEO: Surprise Return Takes Place As NXT Battery Is Fully Charged

The surprise. There are a lot of reasons a wrestler might be gone from television for any given amount of time. One of the biggest is an injury, which is the kind of thing that can derail a career in a hurry. One of the few silver linings is to find a way to have a huge comeback, which can be set up in a variety of ways. That was on display this week and it worked rather well. This week on NXT, Tegan Nox made a surprise return to television, following a ten plus month absence. Nox was revealed to be behind the battery charging vignettes which aired throughout June and showed a battery rising from 0%, with the total reaching 100% this week. The return took place during a Women’s Tag Team Title match, which saw the Way lose their titles partially due to Nox’s distraction. Nox suffered a torn ACL in August 2020, forcing her out of action to undergo surgery. The injury was explained by an attack at the hands of Candice LeRae, who Nox attacked as she returned this week. BREAKING: Jimmy Uso Arrested For DUI Again

According to a report from TMZ, Jimmy Uso was arrested last evening in Pensacola, Florida, for driving under the influence of alcohol. He has been charged with a misdemeanor DUI. Uso, whose real name is Jonathan Fatu, was pulled over at around 10:35 PM on Monday in Pensacola after police say that he ran a red light after being clocked going 50 MPH in a 35 MPH zone. During subsequent questioning, they smelled alcohol on him, so they asked him to exit his Dodge Charger and gave him a field sobriety test, which he failed. Official police records state that Uso’s Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) breath tests came back at .202 and .205, which is well above Florida’s legal limit of .08. His bond is currently set at $500. This is not Uso’s first DUI; he was arrested in July 2019 for a similar offense. He was later found not guilty of the charges. One of the better options to choose is to have a series of vignette promote a return in a way that makes is clear that something is getting closer. You had to know something like this was coming. The wrestling world is still dealing with the fallout from the SpeakingOut Movement, which shook up the industry in a big way. There were almost no companies without wrestlers being mentioned, with WWE certainly being included. One of the more prominent wrestlers has since returned to television, and it has not been going well. Earlier this week, the Velveteen Dream made his return to NXT in a surprise as the third entrant in a triple threat qualifying match for the Takeover: XXX North American Title ladder match. This was Dream’s first appearance since he was accused of sending sexual messages to underage people. While Dream was never charged with a crime, there was some rather convincing evidence against him. It was a big moment to have him come back, and fans are not pleased. Paige Might Be Charged With Battery Over Airport Incident

<p><a href="http://www.prowrestlingsheet.com/paige-police-suggest-charged-airport/#.WW-qGIjys2z" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Pro Wrestling Sheet</a> reports that <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/paige" title="Paige">Paige</a></strong> could possibly be charged with battery in the incident that involved Alberto El Patron at the airport a few <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/weeks/" title="weeks">weeks</a></strong> back. It will be up to the State Attorney’s office to make the final decision.</p><p>El Patron was originally being investigated for the charge and his investigation is still not complete. A representative from the Orlando PD told the site the following statement:</p><p><em>“OPD detectives have <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/found/" title="found">found</a></strong> that probable cause exists to charge Saraya Bevis with Battery (Domestic Violence). Detectives have sent the information to the State Attorney’s Office for review and the SAO will determine whether to file charges in the case.”</em></p>

<p>Two year-old Addie Cook died after being slammed by her mother’s boyfriend, who performed wrestling moves, including a “Batista Bomb” on the little girl. Police arrested Addie’s mother, 19-year-old Cheyenne Cook, and her boyfriend, 24-year-old Richard Gamache Jr., for the child’s murder.</p><p>Cook was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and has a $2,500 cash-only bond while Gamache was charged with <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/abuse/" title="abuse">abuse</a></strong> of neglect of a child and has a $500,000 cash-only bond.</p><p>WWE issued the following statement to FOX 2 Now regarding the issue:</p><p><em>“We are deeply saddened by this tragic <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/death/" title="death">death</a></strong> and hope that the guilty parties are brought to justice. There is no excuse or justification for the brutal and ultimately fatal beating of a 2-year-old child by a grown man.
