LOOK: Man Wears WWE Title During Suspected Armed Robbery

A fashion accessory? WWE is the biggest and most powerful wrestling promotion in the world and to a lot of fans, it is the wrestling promotion. Several fans associate the industry with WWE and a lot of fans are going to be familiar with the company’s signature logo. Unfortunately the logo was involved in something rather negative earlier this week with police having to be involved. According to KWTX (CBS affiliate near Waco, Texas) in Temple, Texas, a man is wanted for suspicion of an armed robbery of a store. The man was filmed wearing a replica WWE Title upside down with a hood over his face and no shoes. The amount of money stolen was not reported and the suspect has yet to be apprehended. In the article, the suspect is described as a “WWE Champion”. Opinion: This is one of those things that you don’t see very often and it doesn’t make WWE look great. At the same time, the good part is that WWE isn’t directly involved as this is more about a suspect doing something that is more th..

Homecoming: Former Champion Makes Surprise Return On AEW Dynamite

Welcome back. AEW has a rather versatile roster with a huge mix of talent from all over the world. The company has managed to find all different levels of wrestlers and put them together in a grouping that can make for some very interesting shows. That has been the case since their inception and now another of their better signings has returned after a lengthy time away. Former TNT Champion Miro made his return to AEW television on this week’s Dynamite. Miro appeared as a surprise opponent for Johnny Elite, who he would go on to defeat via the Game Over. The appearance marked the first time that Miro had been seen since November, as he has been dealing with a hamstring injury as well as filming a pilot for a new series on CBS. Opinion: This is a return that fans have been waiting for over the course of several months and hopefully Miro is able to be the kind of star that he has the potential to be. Miro is someone who has made a big impact in the time that he has had in AEW and very ..

Details On Tessa Blanchard’s Fallout With Women Of Wrestling, Original Plans

That could have gone differently. There are some very talented wrestlers in the world but there is often something that holds them back from reaching their true potential. That could be any of several possible options, and unfortunately they can prevent fans from seeing some very talented stars. It seems that is the case again, now with one of the more talented stars in the world. Earlier this month, Tessa Blanchard and Women Of Wrestling reportedly had a falling out, resulting in Blanchard’s relationship with the company and its owner, David McClane weakening. According to Fightful Select, Blanchard is no longer figured in to the company’s plans, including their initial television tapings, which were held last week. Blanchard’s association with the promotion was designed to be a rehabilitation project for her due to major promotions not showing any interest in her. The issues between the two sides began when CBS, Women Of Wrestling’s television partner, canceled a planned tryout mat..

WATCH: AEW Star Appears In New CBS Pilot

It’s another way to go. Wrestlers have a weird history when it comes to acting. There are a lot of them who are able to pull off acting outside of the wrestling world, but they are often stuck in a role that revolves around them being a wrestler or some kind of a brute. Sometimes that works out, but now a wrestler is getting a chance to try his hand in another kind of role. AEW’s Miro has landed a role in the pilot for a new series called East New York. CBS has released a trailer for the show, which features Miro as a man who has been arrested and is asking for a lawyer. There is no word on if the show will be picked up or how frequently Miro would be appearing. Miro has been missing from AEW television since November, due to a hamstring injury and filming the pilot. There is no word on when he will be back in the ring. He might have something here. Check out Miro’s appearance in the pilot: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: I’m not sure what kind of a future Miro ..

WWE News: Finn Balor Wants To Form A Dream Team

Holy dream team! Tag team wrestling has rarely been WWE’s strong suit. Yes they had a great run back in the 1980s, but other than that and the period of Edge and Christian, the Hardys and the Dudley Boyz, there have not exactly been a lot of great times for WWE’s tag team divisions. They have a tendency to group big names together as bigger tag teams, which one wrestler is teasing doing again. While it has died down a bit in recent years, there was a time when the Bullet Club was the hottest group in professional wrestling. The team went from a group of wrestlers in New Japan Professional Wrestling to one of the biggest things around, to the point where they had quite a bit to do with the rise of AEW. Over the years, the stable has had quite a few members, but now two of them may be up for a WWE reunion. Finn Balor was recently interviewed by CBS Sports where he mentioned a potential tag team with AJ Styles. Balor spoke about his respect for AJ Styles but said that their scheduled ha..

Becky Lynch Addresses Comparisons to “Stone Cold” Steve Austin

As 2018 comes to a close, it’s hard to argue that anyone else but Becky Lynch had the better year. Since Summerslam, The Lass Kicker has been red-hot and everything that happens has improved her role with the company. She may have lost the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WWE TLC, but she’s entering 2019 with a ton of momentum. Her new attitude that could be seen as a babyface or heel run depending on your view, has drawn several comparisons to Stone Cold Steve Austin and other great anti-heroes in WWE history. It’s become a cliche to compare an anti-hero to The Texas Rattlesnake, but she recently addresses those comparisons during an interview with Gorilla Position. Current ROH superstar Madison Rayne was recently interviewed by the CBS affiliate in Pittsburgh, to promote a live taping that was taking place. She discussed a number of topics, including her decision to go to ROH, her dream opponent, not signing with WWE after the Mae Young Classic and more. Below are some questions along with Rayne’s answers: Let’s talk about you and Ring of Honor. You announced in September that you had signed a one-year deal with the company. What attracted you to go there? It was a long and unexpectedly exciting year for me. 2018 has been really good to me, and it’s allowed me the freedom to go a lot of places and see a lot of rocker rooms and be part of huge, monumental things like Mae Young Classic and like All-In. I was able to spend some time at Ring of Honor and spend some time back in the Impact locker room. That was awesome, and for a while, I thought, well, maybe in 2018, this is the culture of professional wrestling, and I don’t need to have one home ..

Video Interview: Kevin Owens: “Working With Braun Strowman Hasn’t Been A Lot Of Fun”

I can understand why he wasn’t happy. It’s been a rough summer for Kevin Owens. Earlier this week he quit Monday Night Raw and after everything he’s been through, that can’t be the biggest surprise. Owens spent most of the summer dealing with Braun Strowman, who put him inside of a portable toilet, destroyed his car, and threw him off the top of a cage. So how did Owens like dealing with Strowman? It wasn’t the most thrilling. [This post contains video, click to play] Owens was recently a guest on In This Corner with CBS Sports and talked about a variety of things. The interview includes Owens talking about the issues with Strowman, what it was like to fly off the top of the cage, the Festival of Friendship, and what it was like to be laying on the announcers’ table after Strowman threw him off the cage. The interview is mostly out of kayfabe for a rare take. Here are some highlights, courtesy of NoDQ.com: On Feuding With Strowman “You’ve seen what I’ve been put through so It hasn..

Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan was a guest on CBS Philly’s Howard Eskin Show, where he discussed what the three biggest moments of his career have been. Hogan first explained how he developed the character he made famous in WWE: “I had no idea [Hulkamania] was going to happen. When I got into the [pro] wrestling business, I loved the business. I was a fan, number one. But I just wanted to get into the business and be good enough, earn a good living, and be very supportive of the artform of [pro] wrestling. Now, I’d guess you’d call it sports entertainment. But the thing that was really crazy was I’ve always had a good heart, I’ve always been a good person, and I just was trying to find a character that would be that ultimate American, positive character. And, actually, Vince McMahon, Sr. helped me with the name, ‘Hulk Hogan’. I already had the name ‘Hulk’, but he gave me the ‘Hogan’ part to represent the Irish community. Yeah, I was looking for this All-American character that would be su..
