That can make for some special moments, but a recent show was memorable for some rather negative reasons. This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite took place in Norfolk, Virginia and ended with the Firm attacking Maxwell Jacob Friedman, who was put through a table. According to PWInsider.com, after the show went off the air, Friedman got to his feet and left the arena under his own power. It was a special moment. There have been a lot of great factions throughout the history of WWE and some of them are still remembered very fondly today. You can often remember several moments from those groups and it is fun to have them brought up again every now and then. Following this week’s edition of SmackDown, the team of Shinsuke Nakamura and the Street Profits defeated Imperium in a post-show dark match. Nakamura pinned Ludvig Kaiser after Kinshasa to win the match. All six appeared on the SmackDown broadcast, but none of them wrestled. Former WWE Star Gets Very Good Legal News

That’s a good step forward. Wrestlers are larger than life characters who are regularly on television doing things that no one else would ever do in regular life. That can make for some rather interesting moments, though that is not the end of what happens to them. There are several things that take place after the cameras stop rolling and now a former wrestler is getting some good news in his personal life. Last month, Patrick Clark, better known as Velveteen Dream, was arrested twice in the span of a week on various charges. However, according to PWInsider.com, the August 20 charges of First Degree Battery and Trespassing have been closed, as a hearing scheduled for September 28 has been canceled. Court records cited a lack of evidence in dropping the charges. Clark was recently released from a 25 day jail sentence for a probation violation stemming from the August 20 charges. Unfortunately that includes serious problems that a lot of us go through, and now a wrestling legend is taking a different look at some of the issues that he is dealing with at the moment. WWE Hall of Famer Jim Duggan has posted a video to Twitter, talking about his recent health issues. Duggan is currently undergoing radiation to deal with prostate cancer but said that he is no longer going to feel sorry for himself. He talked about how glad he is to only have six weeks left of radiation treatment and how many people have it worse than he does. AEW Star Reportedly Arrested Over Domestic Violence Charges

That’s a serious one. There are all kinds of wrestlers in the world and some of them are among the most larger than life characters that you will find in any form of entertainment. Watching them on television can be a lot of fun and you do not know what you might get to see from one week to the next. However, these wrestlers have lives once the cameras turn off as well and now one of them is having a serious issue. According to PWInsider.com, AEW’s Jake Atlas has been arrested and reportedly charged with domestic assault. Atlas had called his partner to pick him up at a bar before suggesting that the two go to a third person’s home. This resulted in an argument when Atlas’ partner paid more attention to the third person involved than Atlas. Eventually Atlas was taken back to the apartment he shares with his partner, who attempted to leave. Atlas reportedly attacked him and scratched his partner’s arm and tore his shirt. That can include backstage issues between the wrestlers and we might have seen one of them take place in front of our eyes. According to Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio, there may be some backstage heat on CM Punk in AEW. The two both cited the promo exchange between Punk and Hangman Page this week on Dynamite, saying that it felt like the Shawn Michaels/Bret Hart exchanges from the Attitude Era. What makes them all the more interesting is the fact that eventually the cameras go off and the wrestlers become themselves. That often puts them into more common situations, but this time around even the normal situation had a bit of a twist. Wrestling legends JJ Dillon, under his real name of Jim Morrison, and Kevin Sullivan appeared on Judge Steve Harvey this week. The two were involved in a case involving $7,500 that Dillon loaned Sullivan to buy a boat. Dillon said to “pay him back whenever”, which Sullivan thought meant he had more time. Harvey mentioned being a wrestling fan and the two discussed some of their careers.
