SmackDown Results – December 30, 2022

Smackdown Date: December 30, 2022 Location: Amalie Arena, Tampa, Florida Commentators: Michael Cole, Wade Barrett It’s the final show of the year and that means we are going to be seeing more than a few big things this week. First and foremost, John Cena is back for his only match of the year as he teams with Kevin Owens to face Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns. In addition, we have the Women’s Title on the line as Ronda Rousey defends against Raquel Rodriguez. Let’s get to it. Here’s is Bray Wyatt for an opening chat. Wyatt does not see himself as a good person but he does try. Looking back at how he got here, he doesn’t regret much, but last week he did something that he did regret. Last week, he apologized a cameraman in cold blood and….here is LA Knight to interrupt. Knight cannot believe that the master of the mind games is here to apologize because he doesn’t buy any of this. Wyatt has been playing mind games and now it is time to pay the check. Knight remembers Wyatt being somethin..

Former NXT Champion Makes Surprise Return

Welcome back. NXT has been on one of the biggest rollercoasters in recent wrestling history and those changes continue to change. Several names have come and gone, with several of them making their NXT debuts. The roster looks nothing like it did back in its glory days, but there are still a few familiar names here and there. Now another one has made a surprise return to the show. The main event of this week’s edition of NXT featured Dolph Ziggler vs. Tommaso Ciampa in a match to crown the new #1 contender to the NXT Title. Late in the match, Ziggler was down with the referee checking on him, allowing a cameraman to hit Ciampa with his camera. After the match, the cameraman revealed himself as Ziggler’s partner and former NXT Champion Robert Roode. Ziggler and Roode then attacked Ciampa, leading to NXT Champion Bron Breakker making the save. A tag team match was then made for next week’s show. It was a great match. VIDEO: How The Ring Broke At WWE Extreme Rules

So that’s how they did it. Sometimes wrestling needs to do something special to wrap up a match. Just having someone get a regular pin or a submission might not work well enough, so maybe the best choice is to come up with something new. It can be interesting to see what happens, but it might be even better know how how the trick worked. Now we have a better idea about what WWE did recently. The main event of last week’s WWE Extreme Rules pay per view saw Universal Champion Roman Reigns defending the title against the Fiend Finn Balor in the show’s namesake match. Balor made a comeback near the end, but the top rope broke as Balor was attempting to hit the Coup de Grace. A video has surfaced online, showing a cameraman cutting the rope, causing Balor to fall down. Reigns hit a spear to retain the title immediately thereafter. It was a heck of a fight. Check out the clip, the match, and some other ring breaking moments: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains v..

The Taz Show Recap – Smackdown Analysis, Defending Roman Reigns, Lana Readying for A Title Run, More!

<h1>Blocks 1 & 2:</h1><p>Taz says that he didn’t think last night’s episode of Smackdown Live was very good for a ‘go-home’ show. It was an average show at best, but it should have been more <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/given/" title="given">given</a></strong> that it was the last show before Money in the Bank this coming Sunday.</p><p>Taz says that he liked the ladder match tease which ended the show, where Nakamura reached up and grabbed the briefcase. He thought this did a good job of promoting the ladder match and driving people to the PPV this Sunday, but this was the only part of the show to do so.</p><p></p><p>He didn’t like that during Jinder <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/mahal/" title="Mahal">Mahal</a></strong>’s promo, The Singh Brothers were also standing on the area rug along with Mahal. He believes that mat should be solely for Mahal, and if he was the only person who was allowed to stand on it, it would seem far more important. He liked <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/randy-orton" title="Randy Orton">Randy Orton</a></strong>’s RKO out of nowhere, and he thought that spot was very well executed by the talent and captured perfectly by the cameraman.</p><p>Taz thought the 8-man tag team match between The Usos/Colons & Breezango/New Day was pretty entertaining. He adds that WWE is giving their viewers a lot of Breezango lately with in-ring matches as well as the Fashion File segments, and he urges them to be careful as to not over-expose the emerging team.</p>
