NXT Results – January 31, 2023

NXT Date: January 31, 2023 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Booker T. It’s the go home show for Vengeance Day and that means it is time for the hard sell, which is one of the things NXT tends to do best. In addition to the build towards the show, we also have the long awaited Creed Brothers vs. Indus Sher match, which has been postponed at least once before. Let’s get to it. Indus Sher vs. Creed Brothers Jinder Mahal and Ivy Nile are here too. Julius and Veer slug it out to start with neither getting anywhere. Brutus comes in to slug away at Sanga in the corner but Sanga takes over with the power. It’s back to Julius, who gets dropped throat first onto the top rope to put him in trouble as well. A reverse Beverly Bomb crushes Julius again and we hit the chinlock. Julius fights up and manages to get over to Brutus for the hot tag. Everything breaks down and Julius muscles Veer up for a powerbomb. The sliding lariat is broken up by Mahal t..

NXT Results – December 27, 2022

NXT Date: December 27, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Booker T., Vic Joseph We’re taped again this week to close out the year. With about five weeks to go before Vengeance Day, there is quite a bit of time to fill and some of that will have to be covered tonight. This week’s show will feature a North American Title match, as Wes Lee defends against Tony D’Angelo. Let’s get to it. Julius Creed is ready to prove a point against JD McDonagh, even if Brutus Creed ate all of the green bean casserole. JD McDonagh is glad that the holidays are over so people don’t have to pretend they like their families anymore. Julius Creed vs. JD McDonagh Julius’ brother Brutus is here. Feeling out process to start, though McDonagh claims a pull of the hair. They fight over arm control until Julius bounces off the rope to armdrag him outside. That means a drop onto the announcers’ table but McDonagh is back up with a posting as we take a break. Back with Julius..

They’re Good: Shawn Michaels Opens Up On Two NXT Stars Who Have Caught His Eye

He has their attention. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it can be difficult for anyone to stand out. One of the best ways that they can do this is by making a name for themselves in NXT, where WWE works to develop these wrestlers into main roster stars. There is a lot of talent in NXT and now one of the bosses is talking about how great one of those stars really is. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Still Ok? Becky Lynch Gives Update On Her Shoulder After Return WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels took part in a media conference call to promote this weekend’s NXT Deadline event. During the call, Michaels spoke about Julius Creed, who he praised by referring to Creed as an “unbelievable athlete” and saying he sees a great deal of potential in Julius and Julius’ brother Brutus. There is no word on any potential callup for either member of the team, who are former NXT Tag Team Champions. The Creeds have done well so far in NXT. Check out some of their..

NXT Results – June 14, 2022

NXT Date: June 14, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Wade Barrett We’re taped this week and rapidly on the way to the Great American Bash in three weeks. That means it is time to start getting the show ready and odds are some of those things are going to be done this week. One of the bigger matches this week will see the Creed Brothers defending the Tag Team Titles so let’s get to it. Tag Team Titles: Edris Enofe/Malik Blade vs. Creed Brothers The Creeds are defending. Brutus takes Blade into the corner to start and then shoulders him into it again, only to have Blade come back with a headlock on Julius. It’s off to Enofe for the 619 in the corner, followed by a weird slow motion sunset flip for two. Enofe ties up the arms and pulls on Julius’ neck but some power gets Julius out of trouble. Brutus gets slammed onto Enofe for two and we hit the front facelock. A northern lights suplex is enough for the escape and it’s back to Blade to..

Here’s Who Dominated At The NXT Power Lifting Combine

They’re good at that kind of thing in NXT. One of the most common criticisms that you will see of wrestlers is that they are not real athletes. Critics will cite the predetermined nature of a match to say that everything about wrestling is fake, which is just not the case. What the wrestlers are doing in the ring is very real and shows you just how athletically gifted these people are. That was on display again this week. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, NXT held a powerlifting combine at the Performance Center earlier this week. There were different lifting groups for both men and women, with NXT Champion Bron Breakker and Zoey Stark scoring the highest in two rep bench press, while JJ Baron and Yulisa Leon and Kayden Carter scored the highest in the two rep box squat respectively. Here are the full results: Two-Rep Bench Press, Men: * Bron Breakker: 455 pounds * Brutus Creed, Tony D’Angelo: 385 pounds * JJ Baron, Bryce Montana, Von Wagner, Julius Creed, Josh Briggs: ..

NXT Date: February 8, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Wade Barrett We are a week away from Vengeance Day but there is another title match to get through first. This week will see Mandy Rose defending the Women’s Title against Kay Lee Ray in a match that seems likely to have some shenanigans. Other than that, we continue the men’s Dusty Classic while trying to find a field for the women’s version. Let’s get to it. The opening video features Mandy Rose talking about all of her success and demands to be taken serious. Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Semifinals: Grizzled Young veterans vs. Creed Brothers The Creeds break up the Veterans’ trash talking entrance and start the fight fast. That means Gibson gets beaten down inside as the brothers get to take turns on him. Brutus suplexes Julius onto Gibson but a cheap shot allows the tag to Drake. Julius runs Drake over without much trouble and isn’t fooled as Gibson comes in off a blind tag..

NXT Live Coverage And Results – February 1, 2022

NXT Date: February 1, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Wade Barrett It’s time for a big tag match as NXT Champion Bron Breakker and Tommaso Ciampa are teaming up against Legado del Fantasma. That is part of the way to build things up for Santos Escobar’s upcoming title match, but for now we get what should be a good tag match. Let’s get to it. Imperium vs. Diamond Mine The fans chant WALTER during Imperium’s entrance. Gunther isn’t having any of the posing to start and kicks Roderick Strong in the head before the bell. Brutus Creed suplexes Aichner to start but Aicnher manages a Regal Roll in quite the power display. It’s off to Barthel for an armbar and the WALTER chants start up again. Brutus fights up and hands it off to Julius for some knees to the ribs. That’s broken up in a hurry as Barthel hits a middle rope elbow to the face and it’s off to Gunther to kick Julius in the head. We take a break and come back with Brutus coming ..

Major Update On Upcoming WWE Tournament

Start making your picks. Tournaments are an easy concept in wrestling, as they are all about a group of entrants being cut down to one. That can come in more than a few forms but most of the time, the process can be a lot of fun. WWE has had its fair share of tournaments over the years and now we know the field for one of its longer running and more fun events. WWE has released the brackets for the 2022 men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. The annual tournament will begin this week on NXT and features eight teams. As is traditionally the case, the winners will receive a future shot at the Tag Team Titles. There is no word on when the title match will take place or when the finals will be held. The Future May Be Here: WWE High On New NXT Star

Maybe he’s next? There are all kinds of talented wrestlers in WWE but only a handful are given the major pushes from WWE. For that to take place, a wrestler has to catch the company’s eye, which does not happen all that often. If a wrestler gets that kind of go ahead though, the sky can be the limit in a hurry. That might be the case again with a new NXT star. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is very high on newcomer Julius Creed. Before Julius and his brother Brutus were signed, the company saw potential in him and there is hope that he can become a major star. Julius is said to be a hard worker and fast learner. The Creed Brothers began appearing in NXT over the last few weeks and then made their official in-ring debut this week as part of the Diamond Mine. WWE might be onto something here. WATCH: Four Debuts Take Place During This Week’s NXT

It was a busy week. There have been a lot of changes in WWE and NXT over the last few months and those are going to continue going forward. With so many moves being made, it can be easy to lose track of who is doing what and even who everyone is. That was the case again this week, as several new names and faces made a variety of debuts during the latest episode of NXT. There were four debuts of different kinds during this week’s edition of NXT. First up, a woman named Persia debuted during Indi Hartwell’s bachelorette party. Persia said that she came from Australia to see Disney World and stayed for her best friend’s party. She is better known as Steph de Lander, an Australian wrestlers who signed with WWE back in March. Later in the show, the Creed Brothers, Julius and Brutus, made their in-ring debuts as part of the Diamond Mine, winning a short match. The two had been shown helping to train the Diamond Mine in recent weeks. Later in the show, Mei Ying made her in-ring debut and wo..

It’s About Time. Final Inductee Announced For The 2019 Hall Of Fame Class.

Time for the struttin and the cuttin. It’s the go home week for WrestleMania 35 and we don’t have many more things to take care of. Well save for the Raw Tag Team Title match, the SmackDown Tag Team Title match, whatever else they have planned for the Raw Women’s Title match and probably multiple other things. As of today though, we don’t have anyone left to announce for the Hall of Fame Class of 2019. WWE.com has announced that Brutus the Barber Beefcake will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Saturday night. Beefcake has been rumored to be inducted for several weeks and was spoiled by an announcement on a New York City radio station last week. Beefcake was a one time World Tag Team Champion and was scheduled to win the Intercontinental Title before having his face destroyed in a parasailing accident in 1990. There is no word on who will be inducting him. Beefcake was better than you might remember. Check out one of his biggest matches at WrestleMania VI: [This post contains vide..

Rumor: They Have A Plan. WWE Is Working On Controlling Size Of WrestleMania Card, Which Matches Might Not Make It?

Not so long my friend. One of the biggest discussions of the entire WrestleMania season has been how long the show is going to be. With a possible seventeen match card, some fans are a bit worried about the show being longer than it ever has before, even with the two hour Kickoff Show. As it turns out, the fans aren’t the only people who have noticed, as WWE has their eye on the problem. According to Rajah.com’s Twitter, WWE is trying to keep the WrestleMania card at thirteen to fourteen matches instead of the rumored seventeen. At the moment, the matches that could be dropped from the card are the Raw Tag Team Titles, the SmackDown Tag Team Titles and the Intercontinental Title. None of these matches have been announced yet, though with four television shows to go, there is a chance for any or all of them to be announced. Some WrestleMania notes: – Was told that Brutus Beefcake is still scheduled to be inducted into HOF – Corey Graves and Renee Young hosting HOF instead of Lawler – ..

Here's your Fight Size wrestling Update for the morning of May 21st, 2018. - At 'Money In The Bank' on June 17th Shinsuke Nakamura will have another shot to capture the WWE Championship from AJ Styles. Last week on SmackDown Live Styles & Nakamura did battle once again and the winner of their bout was going to be given the power to select the stipulation for their upcoming match at the 'Money In The Bank' PPV. "The King Of Strong Style" emerged victorious in the match and has yet to officially make his decision regarding the stipulation but he did give a vague hint that he is in the process of selecting one. - There was a news story that broke on the 18th which read that a barber tossed his customer through the window for complaining about a haircut. Wrestlemania IX Review: Why Would Fuji Do That?

Wrestlemania IX Date: April 4, 1993 Location: Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, Nevada Attendance: 16,891 Commentators: Jim Ross, Bobby Heenan, Randy Savage This is one of the weakest cards the series has ever seen. Nothing on the show feels important with the main event of Bret Hart defending the WWF World Title against Royal Rumble winner Yokozuna feeling lukewarm at best. The second biggest match is Hulk Hogan/Brutus Beefcake challenging Money Inc. for the Tag Team Titles. Like I said: not the strongest card. Let’s get to it. Gorilla Monsoon is the host this year, meaning he’ll be on screen for less than five minutes. Like everyone else, Monsoon is in a toga because it’s a toga party. I’m still not sure who thought this was a good idea. In one of the major moments of the show, Jim Ross (JR) makes his WWF debut and talks about the main events before taking his place as lead commentator. I really could have gone through life without ever seeing him in a toga. Finkus Maximus (just go with..
