And NEW! Title changes can mean the world for a championship as it can breathe new life into the title’s status. Occasionally something just needs to be changed and that can make for a big moment. It can be even more impressive when someone special is involved in the titles changing hands. Both things were true this week, as a legend was involved in helping make another legend a champion. Late in the match, Bayley interfered on Damage Ctrl’s behalf, prompting WWE Hall Of Famer Trish Stratus to run to the ring and help take Bayley out. Dynamite Date: February 22, 2023 Location: Footprint Center, Phoenix, Arizona Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz We have two weeks to go to before Revolution and that means it is time to start finalizing the card. That is a little tricky when one of the matches is going to be a sixty minute Iron Man match, but AEW does know how to throw in a few surprises. Tony Khan has promised a big surprise for tonight so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. All-Atlantic Title: Orange Cassidy vs. Wheeler Yuta Only Cassidy is defending after Yuta wants revenge for Cassidy and the Best Friends forgetting about him. They go technical to start and get some near falls each until Yuta bails to the floor. Back in and Cassidy uses Yuta’s own Seatbelt rollup for two, meaning it’s time for another breather outside. Rampage Date: February 10, 2023 Location: County Coliseum, El Paso, Texas Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Chris Jericho We are still in Texas with less than a month to go before Revolution. That should make for a few interesting weeks but this week’s lineup doesn’t exactly offer much in the way of hope. The Blackpool Combat Club is here though and that is one of the better things Rampage could do. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Blackpool Combat Club vs. Butcher and the Blade/Kip Sabian Sabian drives Yuta into the corner to start but a sunset flip gets Yuta out of trouble. Yuta is sent outside and Castagnoli comes in, with Butcher getting to come in as well for the power staredown. They yell at each other and slug it out, with both of them staggering. Moxley and then Yuta come in to take turns on Butcher as Jericho talks about the Impractical Jokers cast stealing his baseball bat. That means we might be in for another kind of weird segment, but hopefully Paul Heyman will be there to walk him through it. Injured AEW Star Undergoes Surgery, Hopes To Breathe Again

That should fix her. Injuries are terrible to see in wrestling as you never know when someone is going to be put on the shelf for any amount of time. That is something that cannot be prepared for and no one is immune to them. After someone gets hurt, the only thing left to do is wait for them to get back in the ring. Now an injured star is on the way back to health. Back at the All Out: Zero House show, Ruby Soho and Ortiz unsuccessfully challenged Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo for the AAA Mixed Tag Team Titles. During the match, Soho suffered a broke nose and has not wrestled since. Soho has posted an image to Twitter, suggesting that she has undergone surgery to repair the damage. SmackDown Star May Be Missing Time After Brutal Match At Hell In A Cell

Maybe that’s how they get rid of him? There are a lot of different ways to get a wrestler off of television from time to time. Sometimes it might be due to an injury but it can also be a way to get them a breather for one reason or another. You never know when you might be seeing them again and that seems to be the case again with a SmackDown star who seems to be taking time off. This weekend at Hell In A Cell, Madcap Moss defeated Happy Corbin in a No Holds Barred match. Moss won the match by Pillmanizing Corbin’s neck with the steel steps. As a result, Corbin was taken out of the ring on a stretcher, suggesting that he could be missing some time. This comes less than a month after Corbin did the same to Moss, putting him on the shelf for three weeks. Opinion: Corbin taking some time away might be the right idea, as it will make Moss look that much stronger. Moss has become a bigger deal over the last few months and taking out Corbin makes him seem like a force. I could go for havin..

If nothing else, we get to find out who will be in the final of the women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament, because that is still going. Tonight is mostly about firming up what is already there though so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Bryan Danielson vs. Matt Sydal William Regal is on commentary as Danielson wins a test of strength and grabs a headlock. Back up and Sydal snaps off a flying mare, leaving us with a standoff. Danielson uppercuts him down and fires off the forearms to the head but Sydal is back with a leg lariat. Blink and you’ll miss it. There is a lot of WWE content on any given week but some of them are even bigger than others. When the company has a major weekend event, things get even bigger than usual and it can be quite a bit of work. That can mean that they might need a bit of a breather, which was the case this weekend with the Royal Rumble. As a result, WWE kept things short after this week’s first TV show ended. This week’s edition of Monday Night Raw ended with a showdown between Ronda Rousey and Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. Once Rousey left, Lita appeared and challenged Lynch to a match at Elimination Chamber, which Lynch accepted to end the show. After the show went off the air, Bianca Belair came to the ring to face Lynch, who tried to run out on the match. Lita forced her back in though and Belair defeated Lynch with the KOD in 12 seconds in a non-title match.
