Double Special: WWE Legend Returns To Help Crown New Champions On Monday Night Raw

And NEW! Title changes can mean the world for a championship as it can breathe new life into the title’s status. Occasionally something just needs to be changed and that can make for a big moment. It can be even more impressive when someone special is involved in the titles changing hands. Both things were true this week, as a legend was involved in helping make another legend a champion. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE “Loves” This Superstar Backstage, Possible Future World Champion The main event of this week’s Monday Night Raw saw Lita and Becky Lynch defeat Damage Ctrl to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. Late in the match, Bayley interfered on Damage Ctrl’s behalf, prompting WWE Hall Of Famer Trish Stratus to run to the ring and help take Bayley out. The win makes the first Women’s Tag Team Title reign for either Lita or Lynch. It was a cool moment. AEW Dynamite Results – February 22, 2023

Dynamite Date: February 22, 2023 Location: Footprint Center, Phoenix, Arizona Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz We have two weeks to go to before Revolution and that means it is time to start finalizing the card. That is a little tricky when one of the matches is going to be a sixty minute Iron Man match, but AEW does know how to throw in a few surprises. Tony Khan has promised a big surprise for tonight so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. All-Atlantic Title: Orange Cassidy vs. Wheeler Yuta Only Cassidy is defending after Yuta wants revenge for Cassidy and the Best Friends forgetting about him. They go technical to start and get some near falls each until Yuta bails to the floor. Back in and Cassidy uses Yuta’s own Seatbelt rollup for two, meaning it’s time for another breather outside. Cue Claudio Castagnoli to slap Yuta in the face to wake him up. That’s enough to make Yuta counter the Orange Punch and send Cassidy outside for some whips into the barricade. A posting..

AEW Rampage Results – February 10, 2023

Rampage Date: February 10, 2023 Location: County Coliseum, El Paso, Texas Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Chris Jericho We are still in Texas with less than a month to go before Revolution. That should make for a few interesting weeks but this week’s lineup doesn’t exactly offer much in the way of hope. The Blackpool Combat Club is here though and that is one of the better things Rampage could do. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Blackpool Combat Club vs. Butcher and the Blade/Kip Sabian Sabian drives Yuta into the corner to start but a sunset flip gets Yuta out of trouble. Yuta is sent outside and Castagnoli comes in, with Butcher getting to come in as well for the power staredown. They yell at each other and slug it out, with both of them staggering. Moxley and then Yuta come in to take turns on Butcher as Jericho talks about the Impractical Jokers cast stealing his baseball bat. Sabian is able to grab a flipping Stunner on Yuta for a breather and Blade gets ..

Monday Night Raw Results – December 12, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: December 12, 2022 Location: Fiserv Forum, Milwaukee, Wisconsin Commentators: Kevin Patrick, Corey Graves We are crawling towards the Royal Rumble and it seems like the build has been put on the back burner for at least a few more weeks. This time around the main focal point is finding a new #1 contender for the United States Title as Bobby Lashley faces Seth Rollins in what should be a good one. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss For the #1 contendership to Bianca Belair and the rest of Damage Ctrl is here with Bayley. Not that it matters as here is Becky Lynch to beat up Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai and chase them out of the arena with a chair, leaving it one on one. Cue Bianca Belair to watch from ringside. Bliss starts fast and knocks Bayley outside, where it’s time for a breather. Back in and Bayley gets smart by stomping on the foot, earning herself a running crossbody. Bayley manages to knock her outside again though and we take a break...

SmackDown Results – October 21, 2022

Smackdown Date: October 21, 2022 Location: Huntington Center, Toledo, Ohio Commentators: Michael Cole, Wade Barrett We are just over two weeks away from Crown Jewel and that means Logan Paul is back tonight. That means we might be in for another kind of weird segment, but hopefully Paul Heyman will be there to walk him through it. The feud feels rather cold going into the match and I don’t know how to fix that. Let’s get to it. Sheamus vs. Solo Sikoa The rest of the Brawling Brutes, Sami Zayn and the Usos are here too. During the Brutes’ entrance, Bray Wyatt hacks the feed but commentary doesn’t acknowledge it this time. They hit each other hard to start and Sikoa is already needing a breather on the floor. Back in and Sheamus knocks him down again, setting up an armbar. Sikoa fights up and hits a spinwheel kick before sending Sheamus outside and we take a break. Back with Sikoa hitting a running Umaga attack in the corner but another attempt is cut off by a clotheslines. Sheamus, f..

Injured AEW Star Undergoes Surgery, Hopes To Breathe Again

That should fix her. Injuries are terrible to see in wrestling as you never know when someone is going to be put on the shelf for any amount of time. That is something that cannot be prepared for and no one is immune to them. After someone gets hurt, the only thing left to do is wait for them to get back in the ring. Now an injured star is on the way back to health. Back at the All Out: Zero House show, Ruby Soho and Ortiz unsuccessfully challenged Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo for the AAA Mixed Tag Team Titles. During the match, Soho suffered a broke nose and has not wrestled since. Soho has posted an image to Twitter, suggesting that she has undergone surgery to repair the damage. She also said that she is on the way to being able to breathe again. There is no word on when she will be able to return to the ring. Finally! After a month since breaking my nose at All Out. The countdown begins until I can breathe again, can’t you see my excitement?! ? pic.twitter.com/AffnyQPonx — Ruby So..

SmackDown Star May Be Missing Time After Brutal Match At Hell In A Cell

Maybe that’s how they get rid of him? There are a lot of different ways to get a wrestler off of television from time to time. Sometimes it might be due to an injury but it can also be a way to get them a breather for one reason or another. You never know when you might be seeing them again and that seems to be the case again with a SmackDown star who seems to be taking time off. This weekend at Hell In A Cell, Madcap Moss defeated Happy Corbin in a No Holds Barred match. Moss won the match by Pillmanizing Corbin’s neck with the steel steps. As a result, Corbin was taken out of the ring on a stretcher, suggesting that he could be missing some time. This comes less than a month after Corbin did the same to Moss, putting him on the shelf for three weeks. Opinion: Corbin taking some time away might be the right idea, as it will make Moss look that much stronger. Moss has become a bigger deal over the last few months and taking out Corbin makes him seem like a force. I could go for havin..

AEW Rampage Results – May 27, 2022

Rampage Date: May 27, 2022 Location: Michelob Ultra Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada Commentators: Excalibur, Taz, Ricky Starks It’s the final show before Double Or Nothing and that means it is time for the last push towards the show. If nothing else, we get to find out who will be in the final of the women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament, because that is still going. Tonight is mostly about firming up what is already there though so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Bryan Danielson vs. Matt Sydal William Regal is on commentary as Danielson wins a test of strength and grabs a headlock. Back up and Sydal snaps off a flying mare, leaving us with a standoff. Danielson uppercuts him down and fires off the forearms to the head but Sydal is back with a leg lariat. We take a break and come back with Danielson dropping a knee for two of his own, only to have Sydal kick him in the face for a breather. A hurricanrana gives Sydal two so he goes up for the Meteora, which is pulled into a nasty half..

Ring Of Honor TV Results – March 23, 2022

Ring Of Honor Date: March 23, 2022 We continue the road to the relaunch and this time around we are looking at one of the most important people in the company’s recent history. The next two weeks will look at Jonathan Gresham, the reigning World Champion, including his rise through the company. Gresham has been one of the best things about Ring Of Honor for a long time now so let’s get to it. Quick video on Gresham. From Final Battle 2021. Ring of Honor World Title: Jonathan Gresham vs. Jay Lethal For the vacant title, as Bandido is out with Coronavirus. The fans are rather happy with this one as they trade wristlocks to start with no one getting anywhere. A headlock takeover doesn’t do much for Lethal either as they’re certainly starting technical. Gresham manages to send him outside and catches Lethal with a kick in the arm on the way back in. A headlock takeover with an armtrap keeps Lethal down but Lethal cartwheels into the basement dropkick to get a breather. Lethal slams hi..

AEW Dynamite Live Coverage And Results – March 23, 2022

Dynamite Date: March 23, 2022 Location: HEB Center, Cedar Park, Texas Commentators: Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, Excalibur We’re still in Texas and this time around CM Punk is back for a match with Dax Harwood. Other than that we are probably going to hear something from Thunder Rosa after she won the Women’s Title last week in her hometown. If we’re lucky, we might even get more of the Young Bucks trying to find out who their real friends are. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. CM Punk vs. Dax Harwood Cash Wheeler is here too. They grapple into the corner to start and Harwood takes him down for an early breather. Punk is back up with a hammerlock but Harwood elbows him in the face to break it up. Back up and Punk gets kneed in the ribs, setting up a snap suplex. A backbreaker doesn’t even get one so Harwood grabs a chinlock. Harwood misses a headbutt though and it’s time to forearm it out. Punk gets the better of things and goes up top, where he has to break up Harwood trying a superp..

WATCH: The Rock & John Cena Make Their First WrestleMania Match Official

The course of history was shifted forever. WWE has posted a new video to its YouTube channel in which they show the full segment from the April 4, 2011 episode of RAW when John Cena and The Rock make their WrestleMania XXVIII (28) match official. You can see the segment in its entirety below: [This post contains video, click to play] Here’s how the match went down: Shortly after the bell rang, Cena sent The Rock tumbling with a show of power to send an early message to start the contest. The Rock didn’t flinch and promptly returned the favor with a shove of his own that tossed Cena down to the canvas. The Great One proved that he didn’t miss a beat despite the ring rust, as he executed a couple of hip tosses and a very crafty la magistral rollup for a near-pinfall. Cena looked shocked as he took a breather in the corner of the ring. After Rock managed to slip out of an Attitude Adjustment attempt, he nailed the much-anticipated People’s Elbow, but it still wouldn’t be enough to d..

NXT Live Coverage And Results – February 15, 2022

NXT Date: February 15, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness It’s a big show this week with Vengeance Day. That means the card is stacked, including the finals of the men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and a main event of Bron Breakker defending the NXT Title against Santos Escobar. Other than that, maybe we get a surprise or two as well. Let’s get to it. The opening video features Toxic Attraction texting each other about tonight’s show. I’m sure one of them being around a pool, one of them being in lingerie and one of them looking at herself in a mirror is just a coincidence. Pete Dunne vs. Tony D’Angelo In a weaponized steel cage. D’Angelo comes out in a rather expensive car. It’s a brawl to start with D’Angelo being sent into the cage but coming back with a hard slam for a breather. D’Angelo goes for a tool box but Dunne slams the lid onto it instead. Dunne uses a wrench to bend the fingers back, though the fingers ..

FULL MATCH: Grudge Match Takes Place After Monday Night Raw

Blink and you’ll miss it. There is a lot of WWE content on any given week but some of them are even bigger than others. When the company has a major weekend event, things get even bigger than usual and it can be quite a bit of work. That can mean that they might need a bit of a breather, which was the case this weekend with the Royal Rumble. As a result, WWE kept things short after this week’s first TV show ended. This week’s edition of Monday Night Raw ended with a showdown between Ronda Rousey and Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. Once Rousey left, Lita appeared and challenged Lynch to a match at Elimination Chamber, which Lynch accepted to end the show. After the show went off the air, Bianca Belair came to the ring to face Lynch, who tried to run out on the match. Lita forced her back in though and Belair defeated Lynch with the KOD in 12 seconds in a non-title match. This was revenge for Belair after Lynch defeated her for the title in less than a minute at Summerslam 2021. It w..

AEW Battle Of The Belts Results

Battle of the Belts Date: January 8, 2022 Location: Bojangles Coliseum, Charlotte, North Carolina Commentators: Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, Excalibur It’s the first of AEW’s quarterly specials but I’m assuming they couldn’t get the rights to Clash Of Champions. This show is all about the titles, with three championships on the line. One of them is a new title, as Cody Rhodes’ medical issues means we need an Interim TNT Title. Let’s get to it. Interim TNT Title: Dustin Rhodes vs. Sammy Guevara This is a new title as TNT Champion Cody Rhodes is missing due to Coronavirus issues. Arn Anderson is here with Dustin. Respect is shown and it’s an armdrag to take Sammy down. That’s fine with Guevara, who grabs a hiptoss but gets kicked away to give us a standoff. They run the ropes and Dustin needs a breather so Sammy flips over him a few times before knocking Dustin outside. A whip into the barricade rocks Dustin again but he’s back with more chops. There’s a piledriver on the floor to leave ..

AEW Rampage Results – December 10, 2021

Rampage Date: December 10, 2021 Location: UBS Arena, New York City, New York Commentators: Excalibur, Taz We’re still in New York and this time there is a pretty big match on the card, as the Lucha Bros are defending the Tag Team Titles against FTR. Other than that, we have the in-ring debut as Hook, which should be a heck of a moment in its own right. This show tends to do well with the faster pace so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Tag Team Titles: Lucha Bros vs. FTR FTR, with Tully Blanchard, is defending. Fenix grabs Harwood by the wrist to start and takes Wheeler down at the same time. Penta comes in to help take FTR down and it’s time for a breather on the floor. Back in and Penta takes off his glove but manages to roll Wheeler up for two. Now the glove is tossed to Wheeler, allowing Penta to catch him with a superkick. Fenix springboards in with a high crossbody but the momentum sends him outside. That means Harwood can drop Fenix back first onto the apron and the champs ..

NXT Live Coverage And Results – November 30, 2021

NXT Date: November 30, 2021 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Beth Phoenix, Wade Barrett It’s the go home show for WarGames and that means DOUBLE LADDER MATCHES!!! Yes we’ll be getting the third and fourth ladder matches in WWE in about five weeks, because there is no other way to determine control of WarGames. That stupid coin flip stuff is just too old fashioned you see. Let’s get to it. The two women’s teams get in a fight on the way to the ring before the non-participants brawl to the back. Kay Lee Ray vs. Dakota Kai Ladder match and Ray rocks her with a superkick to start. They’re on the floor in a hurry with the ladder being pulled out and Kai getting superkicked again. Kai is back with a roll of the dice onto the steps for a breather. Another ladder is pulled out but Ray uses the distraction to cut her off. There’s a big suicide dive to send Kai into the announcers’ table and Ray drops her ribs first onto the ladder. Back in and K..

AEW Rampage Results – November 19, 2021

Rampage Date: November 19, 2021 Location: Chartway Arena, Norfolk, Virginia Commentators: Excalibur, Chris Jericho, Taz, Ricky Starks We’re fresh off of Full Gear and the next big thing, probably for their upcoming Clash Of Champions style special, is Hangman Page defending the World Title against Bryan Danielson. That will be more than enough to carry the shows for a bit, but we should be in for some other stuff this week. What other stuff? Well probably some AEW stuff. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Billy Gunn vs. Darby Allin The Gunn Club and Sting are all here. Feeling out process to start with Gunn not seeming that worried here. A test of strength isn’t happening but Gunn hits a heck of a backdrop to send Allin bailing for a breather. Gunn follows him out and sends him back inside, albeit with a pause for a staredown with Sting. After a hug to Austin Gunn, Billy pulls Allin out from under the ropes for a crash to the floor. Another Sting distraction doesn’t do much for All..

NXT UK Results – November 4, 2021

NXT UK Date: November 4, 2021 Location: BT Sports Studios, London, England Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Andy Shepherd It’s another title week around here as Jinny is getting a Women’s Title shot against Meiko Satomura. I know she might not be the flashiest, but there is something special about seeing Satomura get in the ring. She really is a legend and it will be nice to see her defend the title again. Let’s get to it. We open with a quick look at the Women’s Title match. Opening sequence. Rampage Brown vs. Flash Morgan Webster This is part of Webster trying to go after the monsters on the show. Brown powers him around to start and doesn’t seem to be sweating Webster that much so far. There’s another toss into the corner so it’s time for Webster to get a breather. Back in and Webster strikes away in the corner to little avail but he manages to send Brown outside for a change. Brown gets back in and hits something like a belly to belly, followed by a toss suplex to send Webster ..

205 Live Results – October 29, 2021

205 Live Date: October 29, 2021 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness It’s time for more of the NXT B show and that sounds good enough to me. I’m still wondering if they are going to change the name though, as we are now in a rare case where every single thing about the show’s title is completely inaccurate. It takes something special to pull that off and a new name would make sense. Let’s get to it. Boa vs. Jeet Rama Mei Ying is here with Boa. Feeling out process to start until Rama takes him down to the mat with a headlock takeover. Back up and some armdrags have Boa in more trouble and even out on the floor for a breather. Boa gets back in and hits a few shots to the face in the corner, setting up the chinlock. A neckbreaker gets two on Rama, followed by a shot to the throat for the same. It’s off to a figure four necklock but Rama fights up and hits some rolling gutwrench suplexes. Boa escapes a powerslam though and grabs ..

AEW Rampage Results – October 29, 2021

Rampage Date: October 29, 2021 Location: Agganis Arena, Boston, Massachusetts Commentators: Excalibur, Chris Jericho, Ricky Starks, Taz It’s another big night as we have a potential classic on our hands with Bryan Danielson vs. Eddie Kingston. If that isn’t enough, we also have Britt Baker vs. Abadon in a street fight and Dante Martin vs. Matt Sydal Part III. Rampage benefits a lot from the shorter time frame so they should be good to go again here. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. World Title Eliminator Tournament Semifinals: Bryan Danielson vs. Eddie Kingston Kingston drives him up against the ropes to start and fires off a hard chop. More chops in the corner rock Danielson but he moonsaults over Kingston to set up the running clothesline. Kingston needs a breather on the floor but comes back in and blocks a single leg. Instead it’s Danielson being taken into the corner for more hard chops and a running knee to the ribs. Danielson staggers around with his chest getting very red..
