The -110 means you’ll need to bet $110 to get a $100 payout if the Steelers win. Editor’s Opinion: So, The Elite, J..

It Grows: Two Big Matches Added To AEW Revolution

They needed to do that. We are less than two weeks away from AEW Revolution and that is going to be a big night. AEW only runs four regular pay per view events in any given year so they have to make the most they can out of every show. The company knows how to stack their cards with a bunch of big matches and they moved closer to doing that this week, with more matches being added. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He Did It: Jon Moxley Is First To Reach Major AEW Milestone Two more matches were added to the Revolution card during this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite. First, Ricky Starks issued an open contract for a match at Revolution and talked Chris Jericho into facing him in a rematch. Jericho also agreed that the Jericho Appreciation Society will be banned from ringside. Second, AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter agreed to defend her title in a three way match against Saraya and Ruby Soho, both of whom have wanted title shots. There is no word on how many more matches will be added to the s..

I’ll Buy That: WWE Employees Barred From Trading Stock Due To Vince McMahon’s Retirement

There’s a new rule. Over the last few weeks, WWE has been shaken up in ways that it never has been before. The main change has been due to Vince McMahon retiring from the company, which has certainly changed the way the company works. There are going to be ripple effects, and now we know how the departure has directly impacted the company’s employees. According to Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston and independently confirmed by PWInsider.com, WWE employees are banned from buying or selling shares of stock in the company until further notice. There is no word on why the company decided to make the change. WWE employees occasionally receive stock as part of their compensation, and it is not clear if that practice is suspended as well. Opinion: That’s a bit of a weird one, but there is always the chance that this is designed to avoid the risk of any sort of insider trading issues. With the company being all over the place at the moment, it might make sense to cut off one potential headach..

Watch Your Language: WWE Adds Another Term To The Do Not Use List

Put it on the list. There are certain things that Vince McMahon does from time to time that seem to boggle the mind. McMahon has a long history of seemingly making up rules for things that he does not like, just to get them to go away. One of the most frequent is over the things that commentary is allowed to say on WWE broadcasts. The list of banned phrases seems to have grown again. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, McMahon has now banned the term “non-title” from WWE programming. This was evident this week on Monday Night Raw, as Mustafa Ali faced the Miz and United States Champion Theory in what was described as a “non-title champions contenders” match. There is no word on why or when McMahon decided to make the change, but it seems to be the new rule at the moment. Opinion: This is as McMahon as it gets, as he is well known for making somewhat random changes just based on whatever whim he happens to be having. That doesn’t make it any better or logical, but at least McMahon ..

WWE Has A Weird Name Its Banned List (And It’s A Famous One)

Can’t say what? Wrestling has changed a lot in recent years, with all kinds of new wrestlers getting the chance to enter the wrestling business. A lot of that has come from various wrestling training schools popping up, some of which are more well put together than others. There are some rather famous wrestling schools out there, but one of the most famous is not being mentioned so often these days. Viktor, formerly part of the Ascension in WWE, was a guest on the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast. During his appearance, Viktor mentioned that he was not allowed to mention being trained in the Hart Family Dungeon when he arrived in FCW in 2011. It was not clear why Viktor was not allowed to reference the school, though he thought the Chris Benoit tragedy might have had a hand in the change. Viktor was not alone though, as William Regal was also told to not use the term. Natalya is still mentioned as the only woman to graduate from the Hart Family Dungeon. It’s a weird thing to b..

WATCH: Becky Lynch Blames A Fan For Loss (And It’s Awesome)

Someone has to be to blame. Wrestlers have a complicated relationship with their fans. While they want to make fans happy, there are wrestlers whose job it is to make them angry enough to pay to see the wrestler get beaten up. These wrestlers have their work cut out for them, but one of them did so well at her job last week that she knew exactly who to blame. Last week’s post SmackDown dark match saw Sasha Banks defeat Becky Lynch, Charlotte and Bianca Belair in a fatal four way when Banks pinned Lynch. Following the match, Lynch yelled at a young fan in the front row, blaming her distractions for the loss. Lynch also said that the next time she was in town, it would he her against the fan. Later, Lynch responded to a tweet about the interaction, saying she was petitioning to have the fan banned from all future WWE events. I’m petitioning to have her banned from all future events. https://t.co/dDIwT35dsM — The Man (@BeckyLynchWWE) December 12, 2021 Well that’s pretty awesome. Check..

Huge Main Event Set For WWE Crown Jewel

There’s the big one. We are less than three weeks away from WWE Crown Jewel and that means it is time to start getting the rest of the card together. There are already several matches set for the show but you can still see a few glaring omissions which need to be filled. One of those matches was taken care of this week and it should be a heck of a showdown. This week on Monday Night Raw, Drew McIntyre challenged Big E. for a WWE Title match. Before Big E. could answer, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode interrupted and a tag match broke out. McIntyre pinned Ziggler to win the match, with Big E. saying McIntyre could have a title shot at Crown Jewel. This comes after McIntyre was banned from challenging previous champion Bobby Lashley, who Big E. defeated for the title last month. This could be interesting. Check out both men in action, plus how we got here: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] ..

WWE Announces Stacked SmackDown With Two Title Matches

The night of gold. Title matches make for a pretty easy draw in professional wrestling. Putting a champion in the ring for a title defense is going to get people watching almost every time, as both full time and part time fans are interested in seeing possible history being made. That is going to be the case next week, but in an even bigger way than you usually see. WWE has announced two title matches for next week’s edition of SmackDown. First up, the Usos will receive a Tag Team Title shot against Dominik Mysterio and Rey Mysterio. The Usos defeated the Street Profits to open the show and requested a title match against the winners of the main event. The Mysterios then retained their titles over Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode, followed by a staredown with the Usos. Second, Apollo Crews will defend the Intercontinental Title against Kevin Owens, with Commander Azeez banned from ringside. Owens faced Crews in a non-title match but Azeez interfered for the disqualification, injuring O..

WWE Interested In Signing International Star

Bring him in. Wrestling is one of the truly international sports as several countries have not only their own wrestlers, but also their own version of wrestling. That can make for some interesting combinations, as you can see wrestlers from one country coming into another and get quite the result. That might be the case again as WWE is interested in an international star. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is interested in signing Speedball Mike Bailey to the company. Bailey is a Canadian wrestler who has mainly wrestled in Canada and Europe for the last several years due to visa issues in America. Should WWE sign him, they would work on resolving those issues so that he could could wrestle in the United States. Back in 2016, Bailey came into the United States and worked a show for Evolve Wrestling without having a work visa in the country. As a result, he was banned from entering the United States for five years, with the ban recently expiring. Bailey has also wrest..

Stipulation Set For Smackdown Universal Championship Match

The Tribal Chief speaks. On last night’s edition of Smackdown, WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns issued a challenge to Daniel Bryan and told him that he would get another opportunity at his title. However, there was a stipulation added to the match that would shake up the Blue Brand. If Daniel Bryan fails to win the championship next week, he will be banned from Smackdown forever. You can see the challenge below: [This post contains video, click to play] It had been previously reported that Bryan’s contract is set to expire soon and he is not sure what he wants to do next. In addition, In the same interview, he talked about feeling strange during his Triple Threat match with Reigns and Edge at WrestleMania 37. Bryan referred to the feeling as “very out of body” and even thought it was the feeling that he was about to die. Editor’s Opinion: The first thing that I thought when I saw this challenge was that this is the end of Daniel Bryan in WWE for a while. He has had issues wit..

New CDC Recommendation Makes WrestleMania Seem Highly Unlikely

That doesn’t sound great. WrestleMania is coming up but at the same time, the show is looking less and less likely. The Coronavirus has wrecked havoc on the world, including on sporting events. That very well may cause WWE to be forced to cancel the event, even if they certainly do not want to. While WWE is fighting to keep the show going, there might be a new development slowing them down. One of the biggest things holding the entire situation back is the idea of having so many fans in a single place. A lot of locations have banned mass gatherings, including some with as low as 250 people. That can cause a problem as far as bringing in fans, but with WWE holding their events in empty arenas, it can be done. However, things may be about to get more complicated. According to CNBC.com, the Center For Disease Control has recommended a cancellation of events with fifty or more people for a period of eight weeks. This would include anything from concerts to sporting events to family gathe..

WWE Confirms Big SmackDown Change

And now it’s confirmed. The Coronavirus has been all over the news as of late and has all but wiped out the American sports scene. This of course includes professional wrestling, with so much of the focus being on WrestleMania. There are other things going on at the same time though and that includes the regular weekly television shows. With a lot left to go before WrestleMania, some decisions have to be made, and one of them has been made in a hurry. One of the biggest problems with the spread of the virus has been large crowds gathering together. The virus spreads so quickly between people and they take it back wherever they have been. As a result, several states and cities have banned, or at least requested, having such large gatherings of any kind. This can create a problem for wrestling, but WWE has a solution. WWE has released a statement to Prowrestlingsheet.com, announcing that this week’s SmackDown will be taking place at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida instead of..

Was Once Enough? Update On Blood And Swearing In AEW.

You have to draw the line somewhere. Whether you’re a fan of AEW or not, it is hard to argue that Double Or Nothing worked quite well. The show seemed to draw a nice audience and the show received a fair bit of praise from most critics. However, there is more to AEW than one pay per view, which means things that worked there might not work out as well in the future. That is something that one of their stars has addressed. According to Fightful.com by way of Ringsidenews.com, Jimmy Havoc has said that AEW will have less blood and swearing going forward. This comes after Dustin Rhodes’ heavy amount of blood loss at Double Or Nothing. There is no word on whether or not bleeding will be banned, or if this will be the case on both pay per views or the upcoming television show on TNT. Havoc loves to fight. Check him out in Monster’s Ball in Impact Wrestling: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: You had to know something like this was coming. The Rhodes blade job at Double ..

Eric Bischoff: Women’s Money In The Bank Re-Match Is A Bad Idea

<p>After the controversial ending to the women’s Money in The Bank Ladder Match, Daniel <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/bryan/" title="Bryan">Bryan</a></strong> announced on this week’s episode of SmackDown LIVE that there will be a rematch on next week’s episode of SmackDown LIVE. <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/james-ellsworth" title="James Ellsworth">James Ellsworth</a></strong> will be banned from the ringside in the match.</p><p>Eric Bischoff expressed his displeasure over the <a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/2017/06/22/bischoff-wrestling-recap-w-joe-koff-roh-talk-money-bank-thoughts-mcgregor-vs-mayweather/" target="_blank">decision on his podcast</a>, “<em>Bischoff on Wrestling”. </em>Here’s what Bischoff said:</p><p><strong><em>“I think it’s a bad move. It’s a mistake I’ve made in the past. Sometimes you learn from your mistakes. At least, sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t. When you <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/build/" title="build">build</a></strong> up to a big event on PPV and you build up the stakes and you build up the expectation and you basically deliver a screwed finish and then re-match it on free TV. It diminishes the long-term expectation of future big event matches on pay-per-view when that happens. I think it’s a really bad idea. By the way, I’ve done it and the results were always negative”</em></strong></p>
