Monday Night Raw Results – October 3, 2022

October 4, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: October 3, 2022 Location: Xcel Energy Center, St. Paul, Minnesota Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton It’s the go home show for Extreme Rules and the show is mostly set. However, it still doesn’t feel like there is anything that stands out as a main event. I would assume it’s going to be the Fight Pit between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle, but the card feels like it is lacking something even if there isn’t much room for anything else. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Here is Judgment Day for a chat before their match. Finn Balor is ready to beat Edge so badly that Edge will quit right then and there. Damian Priest promises to take out anyone who comes for them. Dominik gets the mic and is greeted by a WHO’S YOUR DADDY chant. He hates Rey Mysterio and says he has a new family now, thanks to the Judgment Day. Balor says he could have taken Edge out last night, corrects himself to say last week, and offers one more olive branch. Cue AJ Styles t..

Update On Injured WWE Star, Expected Return Time

September 25, 2022

You never want to hear that. An injury is one of the worst possible things that can happen to any wrestler as you never know how long someone is going to be out of action. Someone can be injured in any way and miss time, which can lead to some difficult situations. Thankfully though, this time things might not be as bad as they seem given the circumstances. Earlier this month, WWE announced that SmackDown’s Aliyah had suffered an unspecified injury and would be out of action. However, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the injury is not said to be serious and Aliyah should be back on television as early as next week. Aliyah has been teaming with Raquel Rodriguez, with the team winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles in August, only to lose them two weeks later. Opinion: That could be a lot worse as you never want to see someone get hurt. What matters most is that Aliyah does not seem to be hurt that badly and should be back soon. She has been getting the biggest push of ..

AEW Champion Reportedly Injured During Rampage Tapings (Contains Mild Spoilers)

September 22, 2022

It can happen to anyone. An injury is the kind of thing that can take any wrestler out of action in the blink of an eye. You never want to see someone get hurt but no matter how well trained a wrestler may be, there is always the chance that someone is going to be injured. That might have taken place this week in a show that has yet to actually air on television. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Wardlow suffered an injury, possibly to his leg, at some point during the taping of AEW Rampage Grand Slam. Wardlow teamed with Samoa Joe to face Tony Nese and Josh Woods. There is no word on if the injury took place during or after the match, though Wardlow was able to take part in a post match angle. The match will air this Friday night on Rampage. Opinion: Hopefully Wardlow isn’t too badly hurt, if he is hurt whatsoever, because you never want to see someone put on the shelf. Wardlow is still one of the bigger deals in AEW and it would be awful to see him miss time with any kind of a..

LOOK: Former WWE World Champion In Horrible Car Wreck

July 23, 2022

That could have been worse. There are a lot of wrestlers in the world today and a lot of them wrestle on shows of different levels. You are only going to have heard of so many wrestlers out there, but a good many of them might have made an impact wrestling elsewhere at one point or another. One such former WWE star had some bad news recently, but it could have been much worse. Former WWE Universal Champion Adam Scherr, better known as Braun Strowman, revealed that he was involved in a car accident earlier this week. The accident resulted in a boat and truck being badly damaged, though Scherr said that everyone walked away from it safe. It is not clear what caused the accident, which incidentally took place on the corner of a road called McMahon Road. Always count your blessings. Trucks and boats can be replaced. Everyone walked away from this ok. Thankful the lord was watching over us. #Blessed pic.twitter.com/s09EgFbrEv — Adam Scherr (@Adamscherr99) July 21, 2022 Opinion: That cou..

WOO-No! Ric Flair Announces He Suffered An Injury During Training For Last Match

July 20, 2022

That might slow things down. Later this month, Ric Flair will wrestle his final match at an event appropriately called Ric Flair’s Last Match. The announcement of the match earlier this year brought up a variety of questions, including if Flair’s health would allow him to wrestle such a match. Now we know that things are starting to go badly for Flair, who is already a bit banged up. During an appearance on Busted Open Radio, Flair revealed that he has suffered plantar fasciitis in his left foot which is causing him to have difficulty training. However, the match is still scheduled to take place as scheduled, with Flair saying that he would deaden the bottom of his foot if he had to in order to make the match happen. Flair’s match is scheduled to take place in Nashville, Tennessee on July 31 when he teams with Andrade El Idolo against Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal. Opinion: This is one of those things that is going to happen at some point, but thankfully it seems that the injury is min..

WWE Legend Was Once Thrown Out Of The Locker Room

July 5, 2022

Everyone has to start somewhere. There have been a lot of wrestlers to come through the WWE locker room over the years but only a few have stood out at the highest level. Those are the names that are remembered in a fond way for a long time to come, but even they might not have had the best time in the company. One such legend is talking about how badly things went for her at first. During an interview with NBC Sports Boston, WWE legend Victoria spoke about her beginnings with the company. Victoria began with WWE as one of Godfather’s Ho’s, despite having signed a full time contract with the company. When she started, she dressed in the women’s locker room but was thrown out by one of the other WWE stars, forcing her to dress in the janitor’s closet. This was due to the majority of the Godfather’s Ho’s being local strippers rather than full time wrestlers. Victoria went on to become a two time WWE Women’s Champion and spent over twenty years in the industry. Opinion: This is one of t..

WATCH: WWE Star Possibly Injured During Match On This Week’s SmackDown

June 11, 2022

It can happen to anyone. There are a lot of ways for a wrestler to have their careers derailed and one of the easiest is through an injury. These things can pop up at any given time and some of them can be absolutely devastating. Unfortunately you never know when they are going to happen and it seems that we might have seen another one right before our eyes this week. This week’s edition of WWE SmackDown featured a match between Lacey Evans and Xia Li for a spot in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Evans won the match to qualify, defeating Li with the Woman’s Right. A video from after the match has made its way to YouTube, showing Li being checked on by the referee and medical staff. Li had to be helped to the back and it is not clear how badly she may be hurt. There is no word on her potentially missing any ring time. That doesn’t look good. VIDEO: Ember Moon Reveals WWE Holding Meetings To Teach Women To “Dress Sexy”

April 29, 2022

That won’t go over well. Women’s wrestling in WWE has come a long, long way in recent years. After being treated as little more than a sideshow, women’s wrestling has become a featured part of WWE television and has even headlined WrestleMania. That is a very long way off from the days of eye candy, but it seems that WWE wanted things back to their old ways, at least somewhat, again. Former WWE star Ember Moon recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet and talked about her final few months in WWE before being released in November 2021. Moon said that her the time stated going badly when Shotzi was called up to the main roster, ending their team in NXT. Despite being told that there was something planned for her, nothing actually took place. She blamed the team being split up on backstage politics, as you have to know how to appeal to the right people, some of whom might not know the team was together in the first place. Moon was also told that she would be turning heel multiple times not nothi..

WATCH: Team Splits Up After Another Loss On NXT

April 13, 2022

It was nice while it lasted. WWE has an interesting history when it comes to tag teams. While there have been several teams throughout the years, WWE has an odd fascination with splitting them up. Usually this leads to a feud between the two and that might be the case again this time, as another team has split up after having things go badly during a match. This week’s edition of NXT was headlined by a five team gauntlet match to crown new NXT Tag Team Champions. Grayson Waller and Sanga took part in the match but were eliminated by the Creed Brothers. After the show, Waller said that he was finished with Sanga, both professionally and personally. Waller also revealed that he had been faking his arm injury from Stand & Deliver. Waller’s announcement to end his three month association with Sanga, which has seen Sanga serve as Waller’s bodyguard. I guess he wasn’t pleased. WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Hall Of Famer Arrested Yet Again

February 26, 2022

Yes, again. Wrestlers are people who play larger than life characters on television. It is the best way possible to get them noticed by an audience, though it is rarely a reflection of who they are when the cameras go off. When that happens, things can go badly for them just like anyone else in the world and unfortunately that seems to be the case again with a certain wrestling legend. According to Wrestlingnews.co, WWE Hall of Famer Tammy Sytch, better known as Sunny, has been arrested again in Keansburg, New Jersey. Sytch is facing a list of charges, including: – OPERATING UNDER INFLUENCE OF LIQUOR OR DRUGS – DRIVING AFTER DL/REGISTRATION SUSPENDED/REVOKED – CARELESS DRIVING: LIKELY TO ENDANGER PERSON OR PROPERTY – RECKLESS DRIVING – FAILURE TO WEARSEAT EQUIPMENT-RESPONSIBILITY OF DRIVER – DRIVING WITHOUT A LICENSE – FAIL POSS DRIV LIC – FAIL TO POSS DRIV REG – FAIL TO POSS DRIV INS CARD – FAILURE TO INSTALL INTERLOCK/DRIVE CAR W/O INTERLOCK – OPERATE MV DURING LICENSE SUSPENSION-2..

Another AEW Star Tests Positive For Coronavirus

January 20, 2022

It can happen to anyone. The Coronavirus pandemic has changed the wrestling world and while things have come a long way, there is still the chance that things could go badly at any point. Anyone can come down with the virus at almost anytime and that certainly includes wrestlers. Unfortunately that seems to be the case for another prominent AEW star. The Enjoy Wrestling promotion has announced that former AEW Women’s Champion Nyla Rose has tested positive for the Coronavirus and will not be able to appear at their Striking Distance event this weekend. It is not clear when Rose will be able to return to the ring or AEW television. Rose did not appear on this week’s show and has yet to comment on the situation. Rose has been part of the AEW roster since the company’s founding and was the second holder of the AEW World Women’s Championship, defeating inaugural champion Riho for the title. Since then, Rose has feuded with a variety of wrestlers, including making a run to the semifinals o..

Recent WWE Match Had To Be “Heavily Edited”

December 24, 2021

It needs some work. There are a lot of wrestlers in WWE at the moment and some of them are more experienced than others. Therefore, it makes sense to not put everyone on the same level of show, as some of them are not ready for that kind of a stage. Sometimes even then things can go badly, which seemed to be the case last week with a rookie’s match. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the match between Sarray and Lash Legend from last week’s 205 Live was “heavily edited” before being broadcast. The match was Legend’s second in her career and Sarray’s first match since her return to the United States following a return to Japan. The aired version lasted less than four minutes, though it is not clear how long the full match ran. It was a different kind of match. Ouch: Liv Morgan Injured On Monday Night Raw

December 15, 2021

That could slow her down. Every now and then you see a star catch fire and turn into one of the bigger stories on any given show. It works very well if a wrestler can capture the audience’s attention and see how far things can go. That is the case on Monday Night Raw, but now things might be slowed down a little bit due to a pretty badly timed injury to a rising star. This week’s Monday Night Raw featured a showdown between Liv Morgan and Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. Morgan had been cheated out of her title shot the previous week and wanted a rematch. Before accepting, Lynch attacked Morgan, including crushing her arm against the ring steps. During Raw Talk, Morgan was announced as having suffered a deep bone bruise and a strained radial collateral ligament in her left arm. She is still expected to challenge Lynch at Day One on January 1. As revealed on #RAWTalk, @YaOnlyLivvOnce has a deep bone bruise and a strained radial collateral ligament in her left arm.#WWERaw pic.twitter...

Redditors Have Listed Their Worst Wrestling Commentary Calls And They’re So Bad

November 24, 2021

Speak to me. Commentary is such an important part of a wrestling show. The commentary team tells the fans where the stories are supposed to go while guiding them through everything that is going on. A good commentator can be such a help in wrestling, but sometimes even the best of them slip up in a pretty big way. When they screw up badly, it can be legendary. Wrestling fans have an amazing memory when it comes to commentary. A Reddit user recently asked What Are The Worst Commentary Calls Of All Time? Commentors weighed in and thousands of fans upvoted their favorite of the worst ideas from around the wrestling world. That’ll Put Some Bad Commentary On The Air IMG Credit: WWE For all of the great calls, there are some that are far more infamous for the wrong reasons. These are the lines that are not only remembered in a bad way, but often brought up as punchlines down the road. If it was something that made the commentator look like a pinhead, it can be even worse. That was the case..

The Survivor Series Main Event Caused Some Backstage Panic

November 22, 2021

That would have been bad. WWE presents a lot of different shows every year but a handful of them are bigger than others. The most important of these shows are pay per views but then there are a group of those that are even bigger than those. One of those took place over the weekend, but something almost went very badly for WWE, which could have caused a lot of problems. According to PWInsider.com, there were some concerns during the main event of this weekend’s Survivor Series between Roman Reigns and Big E. The worry was that the show would run longer than its allotted time, as the show needed to be done by 11:35pm EST. The main event wound up starting after 11pm but did get off the air in time. Part of the concern was due to the men’s Survivor Series elimination match running long. They had a lot to get through. KB’s Review: The Gangrel Solution

September 30, 2021

There are all kinds of problems in WWE today and one of the biggest is that the company does not seem to keep things interesting. This is the case for more than one reason, ranging from stories taking too long to move forward as well as wrestlers losing so often that it is hard to make them feel like stars. These are problems that can be solved, and there is one match that gives you a brief blueprint to solve more than one of them at the same time. Flash back with me to the Attitude Era, which may or may not be everyone’s cup of tea. There are parts of it that are remembered very badly while other elements were quite good in a lot of ways. One of the best things was the wide variety of memorable characters, as almost everyone had at least a little something going on. You can debate the merits of that, but this week we are looking at one match in particular on a pretty important episode of Monday Night Raw. The August 23, 1999 episode of Monday Night Raw was the post-Summerslam editio..

Ring Of Honor TV Results – September 15, 2021

September 20, 2021

Ring of Honor Date: September 15, 2021 Location: UMBC Event Center, Baltimore, Maryland Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Caprice Coleman It’s Death Before Dishonor weekend and that is a heck of a show. It’s such a heck of a show that Ring of Honor has barely spoken about the card so far outside of a few matches here or there. That is typical of Ring of Honor, but it has not exactly made things that much better over the years. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Quinn McKay gives us her usual welcome and rundown. Briscoes vs. Bandido/Rey Horus This could be good. Honor is shown before the match as we hear about the Briscoes’ history of troubles against luchadors. Bandido and Jay circle each other to start with Jay fireman’s carrying him to the mat for an armbar. That’s broken up and Bandido shows Jay the finger gun and starts flipping around to send us to a standoff/break. We come back with Mark bringing Jay back in to elbow Rey in the face. SmackDown Star Makes Surprise Appearance On Monday Night Raw

August 10, 2021

Nice to see you. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, there is almost no choice but to split them up into different rosters with exclusive wrestlers. It is the best way to keep things moving with so many wrestlers, but there are ways to get wrestlers from one show onto another in short order. That was the case again this week in a moment that was better than it should have been. This week’s Monday Night Raw featured a special appearance from Baron Corbin. Early in the show, Corbin announced that he was here at the request of Jinder Mahal, who offered to pay him to take out Drew McIntyre. This comes after Corbin has fallen on hard financial times and needed the money. Corbin was able to appear based on the Brand To Brand Invitational, which allowed one wrestler to appear on the opposite show four times a year. Corbin was defeated by McIntyre in their match. Things have been going badly for Corbin as of late. Check out what has been going wrong: [This post contains video, click t..

Ring of Honor Date: July 28, 2021 Location: UMBC Event Center, Baltimore, Maryland Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Caprice Coleman These shows run together pretty badly most weeks, but I’m kind of looking forward to watching it most weeks. It feels like a show where you know you’re going to get something at least pretty good, putting it ahead of most these days. Coming in with low expectations and leaving happy is not a bad thing so maybe the can continue their streak here. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. We recap Mandy Leon cheating to beat Quinn McKay last week, with an assist from Angelina Love. The Allure laughs off the idea that McKay was a challenge and that’s it for her. Quinn McKay keeps the welcome short this week because she got hit in the head with brass knuckles. The only thing more painful than that is knowing her chances to be Women’s Champion are gone. We get the show rundown as usual. Flip Gordon vs. World Famous CB Before the match, Gordon says he has nothing to ..
