He’ll Be Back: Here’s Why Kenny Omega Has Been Missing From AEW TV

Omega has not appeared on the last two weeks of Dynamite and was said to have “badly” wanted to be on the Jay Briscoe tribute show. AEW is hoping that Omega will be able to return on February 1 but that is yet to be guaranteed so far. Omega is one of their biggest stars. Someone getting hurt can put them on the shelf for a long time and the question becomes how much time a wrestler is going to be out of action. Now a top WWE star is on the injured list again and now we know a bit more about just how bad things are. WWE Match Stopped Due To Knee Injury, Star Helped To The Back

Please don’t be bad. You never want to see someone get hurt in wrestling as it can be one of the most devastating things that can happen to any wrestler. An injury can come out of nowhere on what seems to be a spot that goes well, but other times you can see things going badly as they take place right in front of you. Unfortunately the latter was the reality this week. This week’s NXT featured a match between R-Truth and Grayson Waller. During the match, R-Truth executed a running flipping dive over the ropes, which he did not entirely clear. As a result, R-Truth stayed on the ground with a seemingly injured knee, causing the referee to stop the match. There is no word on the severity of R-Truth’s injury or how long he might be out of action. Opinion: That is a terrible thing to see as you never want someone to get hurt. Backstage Update On CM Punk’s Popularity In AEW

He’s not a favorite. There have been a lot of stories taking place throughout the wrestling world this year and some of them feel like they could drag on for a good while. That is the case with the set of issues involving CM Punk and AEW, many of which involved statements made by Punk. The situation has caused quite the set of issues all over the company and now it has caused a change of reality behind the scenes. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the ordeal has caused Punk to become very unpopular in the AEW locker room. Most of the wrestlers are now said to be “anti-Punk” as he initially spoke badly about the “very popular” Hangman Page. Punk’s comments were said to make AEW look bush league as he said that Page, then the AEW World Champion, had not done anything in his career. Update On Injured WWE Star, Expected Return Time

You never want to hear that. An injury is one of the worst possible things that can happen to any wrestler as you never know how long someone is going to be out of action. Someone can be injured in any way and miss time, which can lead to some difficult situations. Thankfully though, this time things might not be as bad as they seem given the circumstances. Earlier this month, WWE announced that SmackDown’s Aliyah had suffered an unspecified injury and would be out of action. However, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the injury is not said to be serious and Aliyah should be back on television as early as next week. Aliyah has been teaming with Raquel Rodriguez, with the team winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles in August, only to lose them two weeks later. It can happen to anyone. An injury is the kind of thing that can take any wrestler out of action in the blink of an eye. You never want to see someone get hurt but no matter how well trained a wrestler may be, there is always the chance that someone is going to be injured. That might have taken place this week in a show that has yet to actually air on television. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Wardlow suffered an injury, possibly to his leg, at some point during the taping of AEW Rampage Grand Slam. Wardlow teamed with Samoa Joe to face Tony Nese and Josh Woods. There is no word on if the injury took place during or after the match, though Wardlow was able to take part in a post match angle. That could have been worse. There are a lot of wrestlers in the world today and a lot of them wrestle on shows of different levels. You are only going to have heard of so many wrestlers out there, but a good many of them might have made an impact wrestling elsewhere at one point or another. One such former WWE star had some bad news recently, but it could have been much worse. Former WWE Universal Champion Adam Scherr, better known as Braun Strowman, revealed that he was involved in a car accident earlier this week. The accident resulted in a boat and truck being badly damaged, though Scherr said that everyone walked away from it safe. WOO-No! Ric Flair Announces He Suffered An Injury During Training For Last Match

That might slow things down. Later this month, Ric Flair will wrestle his final match at an event appropriately called Ric Flair’s Last Match. The announcement of the match earlier this year brought up a variety of questions, including if Flair’s health would allow him to wrestle such a match. Now we know that things are starting to go badly for Flair, who is already a bit banged up. During an appearance on Busted Open Radio, Flair revealed that he has suffered plantar fasciitis in his left foot which is causing him to have difficulty training. However, the match is still scheduled to take place as scheduled, with Flair saying that he would deaden the bottom of his foot if he had to in order to make the match happen. One such legend is talking about how badly things went for her at first. During an interview with NBC Sports Boston, WWE legend Victoria spoke about her beginnings with the company. Victoria began with WWE as one of Godfather’s Ho’s, despite having signed a full time contract with the company. When she started, she dressed in the women’s locker room but was thrown out by one of the other WWE stars, forcing her to dress in the janitor’s closet. It can happen to anyone. There are a lot of ways for a wrestler to have their careers derailed and one of the easiest is through an injury. These things can pop up at any given time and some of them can be absolutely devastating. Unfortunately you never know when they are going to happen and it seems that we might have seen another one right before our eyes this week. This week’s edition of WWE SmackDown featured a match between Lacey Evans and Xia Li for a spot in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. It takes a lot of money, time and effort to make a promotion work and a lot of that comes down to the owner. If the right person is not behind the wheel, things can go badly in a hurry. Now someone you might have heard of before is throwing their hat into the ring. Freddie Prinze Jr., an actor and former member of the WWE Creative team, has announced on his Wrestling With Freddie podcast that he is planning to start his own promotion. Prinze says that he hopes to have the promotion up and running in eighteen months but does not expect to get a TV deal right away. He hopes that his shows are about two hours each and wants men and women to have equal time. In addition, Prinze is hoping that the show will be a SAG show, meaning that everyone involved will be a member of the Screen Actors Guild. It was nice while it lasted. WWE has an interesting history when it comes to tag teams. While there have been several teams throughout the years, WWE has an odd fascination with splitting them up. Another AEW Star Tests Positive For Coronavirus

It can happen to anyone. The Coronavirus pandemic has changed the wrestling world and while things have come a long way, there is still the chance that things could go badly at any point. Anyone can come down with the virus at almost anytime and that certainly includes wrestlers. Unfortunately that seems to be the case for another prominent AEW star. The Enjoy Wrestling promotion has announced that former AEW Women’s Champion Nyla Rose has tested positive for the Coronavirus and will not be able to appear at their Striking Distance event this weekend. Jake Atlas Talks About His Knee Injury On AEW Rampage

No matter how much training or experience a wrestler may have, something bad can happen at any time. One of the worst things that you can see is when something seems to be going fine and then winds up going badly. It can happen to anyone. There are all kinds of injuries in the wrestling world and some of them can be a lot more intense than others. One of the biggest problems with dealing with injuries is that they could take place at any time. That means a simple fluke accident could take someone out, and unfortunately that was the case again this weekend as a WWE star got banged up pretty badly. The WWE Day One Kickoff Show featured a tag team match between Sheamus/Ridge Holland vs. Cesaro/Ricochet. Early in the match, Ricochet attempted a 450 splash but his boot accidentally smashed Holland in the face. Holland suffered a broken nose and left the match without returning.
