Santino Marella Debuts In Impact Wrestling

He’s back! At tonight’s Impact Wrestling Hard to Kill pay-per-view event, former WWE superstar Santino Marella made his debut in Impact Wrestling. Marella made his entrance after Moose used a low blow to defeat Joe Hendry and announced that he is now in the role of the Director of Authority. He then restarted the match, which led to Hendry getting the win and retaining the Digital Media Championship. Cain Velasquez Pleads Not Guilty to Attempted Murder Charge

It had been previously reported that former UFC heavyweight champion and WWE superstar Cain Velasquez had been arrested on charges of attempted murder. He pleaded not guilty to these charges in Santa Clara (California) County earlier today. From ESPN: Velasquez, 40, is being charged with attempted murder and 10 other gun-related charges stemming from an incident where he allegedly chased down a man, Harry Goularte — who is being charged with molesting a young relative of Velasquez — and shooting a gun into Goularte’s vehicle, hitting Goularte’s stepfather, Paul Bender. Velasquez has been in jail since Feb. 28 and has been denied bail on three separate occasions. A pre-trial hearing in the case is scheduled for Sept. 26, where Geragos is expecting to be able to get witnesses to testify, the attorney said. If the case is not dismissed at that point, he said, it would then go to trial, which could begin before the end of the year. Geragos said the prosecution will not be calling Goula..

They are able to do things that do not seem logical but work in their own universe. That is the case with almost any wrestler, but it can be strange to see them outside of their bubble. Now we are seeing someone else go to a different kind of over the top area. Former WWE star David Otunga makes a cameo appearance in the trailer for She Hulk: Attorney At Law, an upcoming Disney+ series. Otunga seems to play a date of the title character and is seen posing with his muscles flexing in his appearance. Otunga retired from wrestling in 2014, last wrestling on a WWE live event in July 2015. Since retiring from the ring, Otunga has dabbled in acting, appearing in both movies and television series. WWE Attorney Responds To Lawsuit Filed By Major League Wrestling

Now it’s WWE’s turn. WWE is the biggest wrestling promotions in the world and that brings a lot of benefits. The company has more money, more resources, more notoriety and more power than any other promotion in the world. At the same time though, it means that they are going to be a target for some other companies, which has led to a recent lawsuit against them. Now though, WWE has something to say. Earlier this week, news broke that Major League Wrestling (MLW) had sued WWE for anti-trust violations. MLW claims that WWE caused the company to lose a streaming deal with Tubi as well as pressuring VICE TV from airing MLW content. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt has commented on the lawsuit, saying that while he had not seen the lawsuit, MLW had no one to blame but themselves. Variety has released its annual Variety 500 List, looking at the 500 most influential people in entertainment. This year’s edition features four names attached to the wrestling industry, including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Vince McMahon, WWE President Nick Khan and Craig Jacobson. So much for that. WWE is a huge wrestling company. Actually they’re a pretty big company no matter what profession we’re talking about. They have very deep pockets and all kinds of resources. That means people are going to come after them, even if there’s not much validity to the claims made. Some of those claims were brought up again in recent years, but this time they’re going in WWE’s favor. According to PWInsider.com, a US District Court Judge in Connecticut has dismissed all lawsuits currently against WWE in regards to concussions. The lawsuits, many of which have been filed by attorney Konstantine Kyros over the last several years, claimed that WWE was responsible for a variety of head injuries due to not properly advising the wrestlers on the risk of such injuries. Enzo Amore Potentially Takes Dig At WWE For His Release

Enzo Amore was fired from WWE in January of this year due to being under investigation for rape allegations. Now that he has been cleared, he has returned to social media, potentially taking a dig at WWE for releasing him. When he was originally released from the company, it was noted that WWE made the decision after he refused to inform them about the investigation. When the investigation concluded, Amore’s attorney noted that the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion was not made aware of the claims until after it exploded onto social media. WWE usually wish their Superstars well in their future endeavors, but Amore was not one of those Superstars. This was likely due to the frustration that everything went public during Raw 25 and the severe nature of the claims by Amore’s accuser. Davey Boy Smith Jr. is in hot water following an incident between himself and WWE Hall of Famer Jake Roberts during WrestleCon, according to Ringside News. Smith and Roberts reportedly had a confrontation in relation to Smith’s legendary father. Roberts reportedly insulted Smith’s father and refused to apologize for it. This led to Smith throwing coffee at Roberts. There were battery charges out there on Smith, but F4WOnline has reported that Roberts will now be dropping the charges so Smith won’t face any criminal prosecution from the ordeal. To continue this Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that police have been unable to make contact with Smith. They cannot drop the charges until they get in contact.
