Little more warning next time please. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it can be difficult to keep track of what all of them are doing. There are a lot of different ways to present WWE’s collection of stars, but sometimes they go away for a bit before getting to come back and showcase themselves again. That is the case with a certain WWE legend, but now we know when he will be back. Last week on Monday Night Raw, Edge was taken out at the hands of Judgment Day, with the team injuring Edge’s knee in the process. As a result, Edge was put out of action indefinitely. Now though, WWE is advertising Edge for Extreme Rules on October 8, with no match announced so far. Edge last wrestled at Clash At The Castle, teaming with Rey Mysterio to defeat Judgment Day. They are in for a treat. Roman Reigns has dominated the last two years in WWE and there is nothing to suggest that anything will be changing in the near future. Reigns has run through almost everyone there is to face and that leaves him lacking in serious competition. There are still some big names left out there though and WWE may be moving him in the direction of one of them. The Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada is advertising an Undisputed WWE Universal Title match between Reigns and AJ Styles at the September 24 Saturday Night’s Main Event live event. The match marks the first time Reigns and Styles have faced off in a singles match since their feud over the WWE Title in 2016. One thing that they all have in common though is that they all had to start somewhere, because every promotion had its first show at some point. This coming Saturday, July 9, Wrestling Entertainment Series is scheduled to hold its first event at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, England. According to journalist Adam Callier, the event has sold less than 350 tickets for a venue that holds 10,000 people. The event has already been postponed from June and several wrestlers have announced that they will not be at the show on the new date. They might want to correct that. There are a lot of wrestling promotions around the world and some of them have been around a lot longer than others. A promotion needs to be able to build up its reputation over the years and that is easier said than done. Every promotion has to start somewhere, but now a new one does not seem to be getting off on exactly the right foot. Lina Fanene, better known as Nia Jax, has sent out a tweet reiterating that she will not be appearing for the Wrestling Entertainment Series event on Saturday July 9. Fanene made it clear that if you buy a ticket, you will not see her perform or have a chance to win a meet and greet with her. That explains it. WWE has a history of changing matches at the last minute, to the point where some of them do not even take place as advertised. This can be the case for a variety of reasons but one of the most common is that WWE just changes things on a moment’s notice. That seemed to be the case again this week, but now we might know a more logical reason. As of Monday morning, WWE was still advertising a match between Kevin Owens against either Ezekiel, Elias or Elrod. However, the match never took place with no explanation given. According to PWInsider.com, the match was not taking place due to Owens dealing with a minor injury. There is no word on what is wrong or when Owens will be back in the ring. Wrestlers can get in the ring and have a good match, but it takes something special to get fans invested in what is going on. That is where a great promo can come in, which was the case last week. It just might have been a little bit too great for some people. Last week on AEW Dynamite, Maxwell Jacob Friedman gave an interview where he erupted on AEW as well as AEW President Tony Khan. I remember you. There are a lot of ways to bring a wrestler back to television after an absence. You might have them show up as a surprise or you might see their return hyped up in advance. Over the last few weeks, NXT has been running vignettes advertising the debut of a new star named Giovanni Vinci. According to Fightful Select, Vince will be a repackaged Fabian Aichner, who has not been seen since the Imperium stable broke up in April.
