WATCH: Bray Wyatt Takes A Surprising Turn On SmackDown

No more? We are in the middle of a weird time in WWE, as all kinds of things continue to change. You never know what kind of thing is going to happen next at the moment, with most of the changes taking place behind the scenes. At the same time though, there are changes taking place with various storylines. Now we seem to have seen another big change, as WWE may have dropped something cold. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Who’s Up Next: New WWE Tournament Announced To Crown #1 Contenders This week on SmackDown, Bray Wyatt made an appearance and sat in the middle of the ring in his rocking chair. Wyatt used several of his old catchphrases, including calling himself the Eater of Worlds. He also said that HE is Uncle Howdy and told LA Knight to “run” at the Royal Rumble, in another of his former signature lines. There is no word on if this is a reset of Wyatt’s character or something that will be changed again in the weeks to come. This could go multiple ways. Check out Wyatt’s promo plus a look..

Who’s Up Next: New WWE Tournament Announced To Crown #1 Contenders

That’s one way to do it. Title shots can make for some of the most important matches in any wrestling promotion. The chance to have a new champion crowned means that something might be changing soon and that can make things all the more interesting. It means a lot when someone gets such a shot and now several wrestlers have the chance to earn one. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: Triple H And Stephanie McMahon Opposed WWE Sale This week on SmackDown, WWE executive Adam Pearce announced the launch of a new tournament to crown #1 contenders for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles. The only detail announced for the tournament is that Drew McIntyre and Sheamus will face the Viking Raiders in the first round next week. Maybe Later: Upcoming WWE Tour Postponed (Again)

Maybe next time. WWE runs quite a few shows on any given week from around the country. In addition, the company also goes international with several of its shows, including multiple annual tours outside of the United States. More often than not, these are some of the most successful events that WWE runs every year, but that is not always the case. That seems to be true with some shows that are not going to be happening. Teg Dainty, an Australian entertainment company, has announced that WWE’s upcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand, originally scheduled for August, has been postponed with no reason given. There are currently no dates given for the rescheduled shows. The tour has already been postponed multiple times, including more than once due to the Coronavirus pandemic and again this year, with the July date being pushed back to August. Opinion: This is a bit of a confusing situation as the tour seems to have been moved around so many times already. I’m curious to know what is..

Major Update On Upcoming WWE Tournament

Start making your picks. Tournaments are an easy concept in wrestling, as they are all about a group of entrants being cut down to one. That can come in more than a few forms but most of the time, the process can be a lot of fun. WWE has had its fair share of tournaments over the years and now we know the field for one of its longer running and more fun events. WWE has released the brackets for the 2022 men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. The annual tournament will begin this week on NXT and features eight teams. As is traditionally the case, the winners will receive a future shot at the Tag Team Titles. There is no word on when the title match will take place or when the finals will be held. Here are this year’s brackets: MSK (Wes Lee & Nash Carter) Jacket Time (Kushida & Ikemen Jiro) Malik Blade & Edris Enofé Legado del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza) Brooks Jensen & Josh Briggs The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed) Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drak..

Jeff Hardy Reportedly Sent Home From WWE Tour

That doesn’t sound great. There are some cases in wrestling where you can certainly see the talent but for one reason or another, something keeps getting in the way. It could be a variety of reasons, and sometimes those are not the wrestler’s fault. That can make for some rather depressing headlines, and that seems to be the case again with a current WWE legend. According to PWInsider.com, Jeff Hardy was sent home from WWE’s live events and did not appear at Sunday’s live event in Corpus Christi, Texas as advertised. Hardy teamed with King Woods and Drew McIntyre in a six man tag on Saturday night and after tagging out to McIntyre, he left through the crowd, followed by security. He did not return after the match was over to celebrate. Hardy was said to have looked more “sluggish” throughout the match. There is no word on what is wrong with Hardy or when he will be back on television. Hardy is a heck of a star when he is around. Check out what he can do when he is able: [This post c..

Big Update On The Mae Young Classic II Tournament

Save the date. Tournaments have always held a special place in wrestling fans’ hearts but now they’ve turned into a much bigger deal in WWE. It’s rare to not see at least one big tournament a year at this point, often at Full Sail University. Whether it’s the Cruiserweight Classic or the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, there’s almost always something big going on. Now, we might know the taping dates for another major WWE tournament later this year. According to Wrestling Observer Live, the Mae Young Classic II will be taped on August 7 and August 8 at Full Sail University. If the same pattern as last year is used, the two days of tapings will be put together into four episodes each and released on the WWE Network at the same time. Last year’s tournament, won by Kairi Sane, saw several future NXT names make their debuts, such as Sane, Shayna Baszler, Dakota Kai and several others. There are no names announced at this point. If nothing else, we might get another awesome opener like this...
