Keep It Going: AEW Adds Two More Title Matches To Full Gear

And so, it grows. We are less than a week away from AEW Full Gear and normally that would mean the card is all but set. You will often see a few wrestlers doing something that gets people talking about them every day, albeit not always in the most positive light. Former WWE Star: “I’m Responsible For AEW”

Call it an assist? The rise of AEW has changed the way the wrestling world in a huge way. Rather than being dominated by WWE, the industry now has another style in AEW, which presents wrestling in a bit of a different way. That way was developed by a few different names coming together, but now another wrestling star is laying claim to coming up with the story that AEW is known for using. During an interview with Not Sam Wrestling, former WWE and AEW star Matt Cardona (better known as Zack Ryder) said that his previous efforts led to the rise of AEW and Being The Elite. Cardona said that his Z! True Long Island Story show caused the creation of Being The Elite, which led to the formation of AEW. Z! True Long Island Story debuted in February 2011 and ended in January 2013 after 100 episodes. Cardona wrestled a pair of matches with AEW in 2020. Opinion: It might sound like a big exaggeration but at the end of the day, Cardona did something that led to a major development in wrestling. ..

Pair Of Update On The Elite Returning To AEW In Some Fashion

Almost done? There have been very few wrestling stories this year that have been discussed as extensively as the post AEW All Out brawl between CM Punk/Ace Steel and the Elite (Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks). The issue resulted in several suspensions as well as Steel being released from the company. While the main players have yet to return, we have gotten something of an update from AEW itself. According to Fightful Select, the Elite may be set to return in at least a backstage capacity very soon, though there is no word on when the three may return to AEW TV. However, this week on AEW Dynamite, a vignette aired talking about the trio’s success in AEW. During the vignette though, the three of them began disappearing from the images, suggesting that they were being erased. It is not clear what this means for their future. Opinion: Your tastes may vary on the Elite but there is no denying that they have been a big deal in AEW since the company was founded. It makes sense to have the..

Kenny Omega And The Young Bucks Could Be Gone From AEW For A Long Time

It could be a little while. Following AEW All Out and its media scrum on September 4, a huge brawl broke out between CM Punk, Ace Steel and Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks (the Elite). The end result was everyone being suspended and now we are waiting on their returns. It turns out we might be waiting longer than expected. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Elite has not heard anything back from AEW about their suspensions. The company is not planning to make any public announcements about the situation and has not addressed it on AEW TV. There is a chance that legal issues are holding up the situation, along with a possible “second hold up” of unknown details. There is no word on when the Elite will be back on AEW TV, but Punk is expected to miss around eight months after tearing his tricep. Opinion: This is a situation that is going to take..

KB’s Review: All Elite Isn’t All Elite

After this year’s All Out, CM Punk went ballistic during a media scrum, bashing a lot of people on the roster, including the company’s Executive Vice Presidents, better known as the Elite (for the sake of clarification, I’ll only be referring to Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks when I mention the Elite). Following the media scrum, there was a huge fight between Punk, Ace Steel and the Elite which has resulted in pretty much everyone involved being suspended. It isn’t clear when those people are going to be back and that is what we are looking at this time around. Now before you panic, no, we aren’t talking about the media scrum comments or the brawl, because those topics have been driven so hard into the ground that I’m expecting them to wind up on Impact Wrestling sooner than later. Everything that we know or have speculated about those incidents has been covered to death so we’ll move on to something a little more practical. This week saw AEW’s Grand Slam events, held in Arthur Ashe..
