Former WWE Developmental Star Charged With Assault That Led To Woman’s Death

That’s a lot more serious. Wrestlers are larger than life characters but they are very real life people when the camera is turned off. You are going to hear about wrestlers doing run of the mill things, which is not exactly something that draws the most interest. Every now and then though, you hear about something that is a lot more serious, which is the case in another situation. According to the Detroit News, former WWE developmental wrestler Kyle Garrett Rasmussen (known as Conrad Tanner in FCW) was arrested on charges of attempting to strangle a man last month. Rasmussen allegedly attempted to choke the driver of a moving car but the driver was able to stop the car and escape. Rasmussen’s girlfriend fled as well but was struck by another car and killed. As a result, Rasmussen is facing a charge of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. Rasmussen wrestled for WWE from 2009-2010, when he was released. Opinion: That’s about as serious as it gets and that’s nev..

Cain Velasquez Pleads Not Guilty to Attempted Murder Charge

It had been previously reported that former UFC heavyweight champion and WWE superstar Cain Velasquez had been arrested on charges of attempted murder. He pleaded not guilty to these charges in Santa Clara (California) County earlier today. From ESPN: Velasquez, 40, is being charged with attempted murder and 10 other gun-related charges stemming from an incident where he allegedly chased down a man, Harry Goularte — who is being charged with molesting a young relative of Velasquez — and shooting a gun into Goularte’s vehicle, hitting Goularte’s stepfather, Paul Bender. Velasquez has been in jail since Feb. 28 and has been denied bail on three separate occasions. A pre-trial hearing in the case is scheduled for Sept. 26, where Geragos is expecting to be able to get witnesses to testify, the attorney said. If the case is not dismissed at that point, he said, it would then go to trial, which could begin before the end of the year. Geragos said the prosecution will not be calling Goula..

WATCH: Character Literally Killed Off On This Week’s NXT TV

Say hi to the fish. With so many wrestlers on so many wrestling shows these days, it can be easy to forget about someone. It might be a wrestler who does not get that much TV time or someone who has not had the chance to really showcase themselves, but at some point they are going to have to change something. Now though, another one might not be getting the chance to do so. This week on NXT, Troy “Two Dimes” Donovan was written off of WWE TV, seemingly being murdered by Tony D’Angelo and Stacks. Without going into detail, D’Angelo suggested that Donovan had come for the throne and was being dealt with as a result, by being thrown off a bridge and into a river. This comes after Donovan was released from his WWE contract over what was described as a policy violation. Donovan was not named in the segment. That’s rather aggressive. Check out how Donovan was written off TV: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: I would much rather have Donovan dealt with like this rather t..

Fan Called Police On Happy Corbin For Murdering Rey Mysterio

He got the point across. The Coronavirus changed the way the world worked for a long time but things are mainly back to normal. What matters most is that the health issues and worries have mostly gone away, but it is also nice to see some of our old ways of life coming back. That includes wrestling, with one wrestler now being able to tell a story about the pandemic days. Happy Corbin appeared on Mornings With Matt And Bob in Austin, Texas and talked about the upcoming Money In The Bank pay per view. Corbin also told a story about the 2020 edition, with the briefcase hanging above a ring on top of Titan Towers. During the match, Corbin threw Rey Mysterio off the top of the building, with Mysterio landing via a video edit. According to Corbin, the moment caused at least one fan to call 911 and say that Corbin had killed Mysterio. Opinion: As ridiculous as it might seem, this is the kind of thing that makes wrestling seem more real. The fan bought into what they were seeing so much tha..

No, Michelle McCool Did Not Murder Undertaker With A Sledgehammer

That’s a serious jump. There are certain things that wrestlers do that you do not see elsewhere. Some wrestlers have rather over the top characters and that can make for some interesting situations. Things that happen on a wrestling show do not make all that much sense, especially to someone who is outside the wrestling bubble. That almost got someone in some legal issues. Michelle McCool, the wife of the Undertaker, appeared on the Wives of Wrestling podcast and told a story about the police questioning her for about possibly murdering Undertaker. McCool was followed to her home by police and was asked if her husband was home. Undertaker came out of the shower in a towel and showed the officers that he was fine and the issue was over. The officers then let the two of them listen to the call, which had a fan saying that McCool had killed Undertaker with a sledgehammer. Opinion: There are some very interesting fans out there and some of them either have a good bit of time on their han..

VIDEO: AEW Star Suffers Terrifying Crash, Seems To Be Ok

That could have been horrible. No matter how skilled or trained a wrestler may be, there is always the chance that something could go wrong during a match. Anything from a mistake to a slip to some kind of an equipment malfunction could cause major problems and someone could get hurt as a mistake. Some of these can look a lot worse than others and that was the case this weekend. This week’s AEW Dynamite featured a match between Lance Archer and Eddie Kingston. During the match, Archer attempted a moonsault but landed on top of his head. Archer rolled to the floor for a few moments before returning to the ring, where Kingston immediately rolled him up for the pin. Archer has since posted about the incident, saying “I’ll live! Thank ya Lord!” and talking about how he under rotated on the moonsault and it could have been much worse. He also thanked AEW for taking care of him and promised to be back. I’ll live! Thank ya Lord! — The Murderhawk Monster Lance Archer (@LanceHoyt) October 24..

Jon Moxley Vs. Lance Archer: Who Will Emerge As The AEW World Champion?

Jon Moxley will defend the AEW World Championship against Lance Archer on the anniversary edition of Dynamite on Wednesday, October 14. Archer became the No.1 Contender after winning the Casino Battle Royale at September 5’s All Out pay-per-view. At nearly 200 days, Moxley is the longest reigning AEW World champion in the company’s short history. His title win in 2019 set him on the path of dominance at the main event level and he’s been riding high against every challenger that’s come his way. But will he make it past The Murderhawk Monster on October 14? This match is one that was bound to happen at some point. Archer has been booked as a top star since his AEW debut on March 11, 2020. Archer rode the wave of momentum he had from New Japan Pro Wrestling and used it to establish himself in Tony Khan’s company. Lance’s work in NJPW caught the attention of longtime fans who followed Archer’s career over the years and those fans were thrilled to see him finally get a real shot at star..

Marty Jannetty May Have Admitted To Murder On Social Media

You have to be careful about what you put out there. Marty Jannetty has had an odd presence in the world over the last few years; a few years ago he asked if it was OK to have sex with someone that wasn’t her biological daughter after it was proved that she wasn’t by a DNA test. In his latest escapade, he may have just done something worse. According to a report from SB Nation, Jannetty may have admitted to committing a murder when he was 13 years old. In a post that has since now been deleted, he alleges that he was targeted by a man when he was 13 years old, who he believed was going to sexually assault him. Jannetty then killed the man, and dumped his body in the Chattahoochie River, presumably in, or near Columbus, Georgia. Below is an image of the post. Note that there is inappropriate language, and a homophobic slur was edited out of the original by SB Nation: Check out Jannetty’s most famous moment in professional wrestling: We will continue to monitor this story and prov..

Dates Confirmed for WWE’s Saudi Arabia Shows in 2019

WWE has a 10-year partnership with the Saudi General Sports Authority. The partnership started last year- which saw WWE host The Greatest Royal Rumble and Crown Jewel in the country. In particular, the event in November was extremely controversial. Many fans may remember that this was due to the government of Saudi Arabia ordering for the murder of a journalist- Jamal Khashoggi. It has since been called a planned and “brutal” murder by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now reported that WWE has secured the dates for the second year of their partnership. As part of the ongoing agreement, WWE will hold two shows in Saudi Arabia this year. In fact, you can see a highlight from WWE’s first Saudi Arabian show in the short video below: [This post contains video, click to play] According to Meltzer, the dates for the two shows are May 3 and November 1. This is fairly similar to the schedule they had in 2018 for their two shows...

Magee, now 59 and a neighborhood watchman, was attacked by as many as six men. Magee suffered a broken jaw, a broken eye socket and a concussion. A unnamed witness and local resident described the brutal scene, stating, “They were literally kicking him, punching him in the face and in the head.” Warning, the following video contains graphic content: [This post contains video, click to play] She said six men attacked Magee and ran off when other neighbors came outside in response to hearing the chaotic scene unfolding outside. The neighbors rushed to Magee and found him incoherent. “To me, it was attempted murder. If we wouldn’t have come out here I don’t know if he would be alive. To look at his face if you saw his face right now and saw what they were doing to him, he’s really lucky to be alive,” the neighbor said. Update: Two of the six attackers have been..

WWE Releases Statement on Child that Was Killed by a Batista Bomb

<p>Two year-old Addie Cook died after being slammed by her mother’s boyfriend, who performed wrestling moves, including a “Batista Bomb” on the little girl. Police arrested Addie’s mother, 19-year-old Cheyenne Cook, and her boyfriend, 24-year-old Richard Gamache Jr., for the child’s murder.</p><p>Cook was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and has a $2,500 cash-only bond while Gamache was charged with <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/abuse/" title="abuse">abuse</a></strong> of neglect of a child and has a $500,000 cash-only bond.</p><p>WWE issued the following statement to FOX 2 Now regarding the issue:</p><p><em>“We are deeply saddened by this tragic <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/death/" title="death">death</a></strong> and hope that the guilty parties are brought to justice. There is no excuse or justification for the brutal and ultimately fatal beating of a 2-year-old child by a grown man. This is a <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/clear/" title="clear">clear</a></strong> case of criminal intent and a lack of parental supervision.”</em></p>

The Backlash from Backlash: What’s Next for Smackdown

<p>They actually did it, you guys. The absolute madmen, they actually did it. Jinder Mahal beat Randy Orton at Backlash to become the WWE Champion. Not only that, but he is the 50th person to hold the title. He’s now in the same league as men like The Rock, Stone Cold, Bret Hart, and Hulk Hogan.</p><p>Meanwhile, Kevin Owens retained the US title by trapping AJ Styles’ leg in an announce table. Natalya beat Becky Lynch (no surprise there) to pick up a victory for the Welcoming Committee. Shinsuke Nakamura finally had a match. Obviously all of these have repercussions and consequences, so let’s try to figure out how the Smackdown environment will change.</p><h4>The Tag Team Division</h4><p></p><p>Unfortunately, <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/tyler-breeze" title="Tyler Breeze">Tyler Breeze</a></strong> and Fandango were not able to pick up a win (and the Smackdown Tag Team Championship) at Backlash. They lost to the Usos, who resorted to sort of underhanded tactics to win. This “tainted” win will most likely mean that this feud is not over.</p><p>Unfortunately it really feels like the tag team division is spinning its wheels until the New Day can arrive. While they put on quite a match and won our hearts, Breezango ultimately feel like placeholder contenders to be fed to the Usos while New Day is on hold. With the Hype Bros out and American Alpha MIA (hopefully doing a hard reset), there was clearly no one else left to challenge the Usos.</p><p>This most likely means that Breezango gets one more match and then brutalized to give the Usos some heat. With the ever looming threat of the New Day hanging over the tag division, I expect the Usos will be keeping the titles warm for the them to take.</p><h4>The United States Championship</h4><p></p><p>Kevin Owens barely won the match. After securing a count-out victory, Owens proclaimed that he was better than AJ Styles. Styles, of course, will not take that lying down. He will most likely demand a rematch. Not that there’s anything wrong with that as they put on a great match.</p><p>Maybe at Money in the Bank, Styles and Owens will lock horns again. Hopefully this time there will be a decisive winner. The question is, will it be AJ Styles or will Kevin Owens hold onto the gold?</p><p>Styles has just come off one of the best debut years in recent history. He debuted in a WWE Championship match, was in the main event of two pay-per-views within the first four months of his WWE career, beat John Cena clean as a whistle, and became WWE Champion. Meanwhile Kevin Owens became Universal Champion, was unable to successfully defend it without interference, and lost to Goldberg in under 30 seconds. Who needs a win more?</p><p>I feel that Owens will retain the US title, which will free up Styles to re-enter the WWE title picture. That’s already starting to look crowded, but in a good way. Meanwhile Owens can defend the title against <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/sami-zayn" title="Sami Zayn">Sami Zayn</a></strong> or <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/tye-dillinger" title="Tye Dillinger">Tye Dillinger</a></strong>. Both of those programs show promise.</p><h4>The Women’s Division</h4><p></p><p>The Welcoming Committee have firmly established their dominance over the whole division (read: six people) at Backlash by making Becky Lynch tap out to Natalya. The backlash from this? We’re about to find out.</p><p>Charlotte is still gunning after the Women’s Championship, but there are other sharks circling about. Carmella can claim a shot at the title, because she pinned Naomi. As they say, you pin the champion, you get a title match.</p><p>Natalya, however, also may have a few words to say. She won the match for her team, which means she beat Naomi and Charlotte. She beat the champion and the number one contender. Surely that boosts her standing a little? Either way, Naomi has new foes to face.</p><p>She is probably going to drop the title soon, most likely to Charlotte. Hopefully this will allow for a Becky Lynch v. Charlotte match at Summerslam where Becky can pick up the win. It’s been so long since she has won.</p><h4>The WWE Championship</h4><p>The million dollar question now is this: what’s going to happen to the WWE Championship? Jinder Mahal is for sure not holding onto the title for very long.</p><p>Orton was kicking his ass decisively until the Singh Brothers came along and Randy casually murdered them. Randy Orton is not someone you want as your enemy.</p><p>There’s also Rusev demanding a title shot. While he hasn’t shown up yet, surely they’ll humor him. He’s on the hunt, and right now his target is Jinder Mahal. If all goes well, Rusev will have a match at Money in the Bank.</p><p>Money in the Bank. You know, where someone gets an opportunity for a WWE Championship match anytime and anywhere? That thing? Yeah, it’s happening next month. So now the champion has to potentially deal with Randy Orton, Rusev, and Mr. Money in the Bank. It could be Baron Corbin, or Sami Zayn. Heck, it could even be Erick Rowan. This is going to be an interesting title picture for the next few months.</p>
