REVIEW: ECW On Sci Fi – October 30, 2007: Mashy

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? ECW On Sci Fi Date: October 30, 2007 Location: Nassau Coliseum, New York City, New York Attendance: 12,300 Commentators: Joey Styles, Tazz It’s the Halloween special and this time around that means we have the Monster Mash four man battle royal between Kane, Great Khali, Mark Henry and Big Daddy V. They are leaning heavily into the freak show idea here and that is not a bad idea. I could go for seeing what else they have going on here now that Cyber Sunday is gone so let’s get to it. We open with a Halloween them..

Therefore we are guaranteed a new champion, though it is not clear how the title will be decided. Other than that, the Smackdown side features Batista defending the World Title against Great Khali in a Punjabi Prison ma..

REVIEW: Great American Bash 2007: The Showdown Match

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Great American Bash 2007 Date: July 22, 2007 Location: HP Pavilion, San Jose, California Attendance: 13,034 Commentators: Michael Cole, John Bradshaw Layfield, Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, Joey Styles, Tazz It’s a bit of a weird show as we have the big fight between John Cena and Bobby Lashley for the Raw World Title, but the Smackdown World Title is a little screwy. Edge was forced to vacate the title due to an injury, with Great Khali becoming the new champion via a battle royal. Therefore, it’s Khali defending again..

WWE Once Had Some Different Plans For The Intercontinental TItle

What could have been. Winning a title is one of the most important things that a wrestler can do in their career. It is a symbol that you have arrived and that the promotion you are working for sees something in you. There are a lot of titles floating around WWE these days but picking up some gold still means a lot no matter what it may be. One recently released wrestlers was ready to win something, but then plans changed in a sad way. Dirty Dango, formerly known as Fandango in WWE, was a guest on Insights with Chris Van Vliet and revealed that he was scheduled to win the Intercontinental Title. Dango was scheduled to win the title but was then suffered a concussion during a match with Great Khali. Rather than explaining this to WWE, Dango continued to wrestle and was concussed again during a match with Zack Ryder. WWE then found out that he was injured and pulled him off the road. Dango said he believed Curtis Axel went on to win the title, which took place on June 16, 2013, less tha..

That’s an odd pairing. WWE has had all kinds of wrestlers over the years, with some of them being quite different than the norm. Here Is Why The Big Show Missed The Greatest Royal Rumble

Dave Meltzer provided some insight into why Raw Superstar The Big Show was not involved in the 50-man Royal Rumble match at the Greatest Royal Rumble. So that’s why he wasn’t in the match. I don’t know how severe but it was severe enough. They wanted him in this match you could tell because look at all those big guys they brought in and except for [the Great Khali] you know [Big Show] is the biggest guy.” “But Big Show got hurt. Hopefully, it’s nothing serious.” Wrestling Rumors will continue to update you as more information does become available on his status, and when he is expected to return to in-ring competiti..
