Monday Night Raw Results – October 24, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: October 24, 2022 Location: Spectrum Center, Charlotte, North Carolina Commentators: Corey Graves, Kevin Patrick We are less than two weeks away from Crown Jewel and that means the card is going to need a little more build up. Two more matches were added last week and now we are probably going to get either some build towards those matches and/or even more matches added. That is what the show needs so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Here is Judgment Day to get things going. Rhea Ripley says that last week, AJ Styles found out that Judgment Day runs Monday Night Raw and that Dominik Mysterio is all man. Damian Priest wants the people to rise for the greatest luchador of all time. Dominik says these are the only people who ever believed in him and says last week was proof that Eddie Guerrero was his generation’s Dominik Mysterio. Cue the OC to say Dominik is stupid because he’s more like the James Ellsworth of this generation. Karl Anderson is ready to face Fi..

REVIEW: Great American Bash 2004: A Real Burial

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Great American Bash 2004 Date: June 27, 2004 Location: Norfolk Scope, Norfolk, Virginia Attendance: 6,500 Commentators: Michael Cole, Tazz We had to get here at some point and that’s not the most appealing thing in the world. The double main event will see JBL challenging Eddie Guerrero for the WWE Title in a Texas Bullrope match (totally different than the Montana bullrope match) and the Undertaker vs. the Dudley Boyz in a Concrete Crypt match (totally different than the good idea match). Let’s get to it. The op..

WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Using Old Crowd Footage For Unrelated Matches

They really need that? WWE has been around for a very long time now and has put on more events and shows than anyone could reasonably count over the years. That means there have been all kinds of moments throughout the years, some of which are all time classics. WWE loves to look back on its own history, and that is what they are doing again, but with a not that normal twist. According to Wrestlingnews.co, WWE is using old footage for their modern video packages. This includes using footage from John Cena returning as the Dr. of Thuganomics in 2012 as part of a package on Madcap Moss vs. Happy Corbin from WrestleMania Backlash, and footage from the Eddie Guerrero tribute show as part of a Stephanie McMahon segment on WWE Evil. There is no word on how many more times WWE has done something like this. During the Madcap Moss/Corbin video recap, WWE used crowd shots from 2012 from John Cena’s return as the Dr. of Thuganomics. They have been doing more of this lately. pic.twitter.com/Vg2v..

REVIEW: SmackDown – April 14, 2005: Here He Comes

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Smackdown Date: April 14, 2005 Location: Allstate Arena, Chicago, Illinois Commentators: Michael Cole, Tazz We’re in the process of finding a new #1 contender, which is likely to be JBL. Thankfully we get some big matches on the way there, including one tonight with Kurt Angle vs. Eddie Guerrero. That is one of those matches that can’t be screwed up so we should be in for a good evening. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of the #1 contender series, with Eddie Guerrero costing Rey Mysterio his match against JB..

Backstage News On The Reason For A Strange WrestleMania Surprise

That’s an interesting explanation. WrestleMania 38 has come and gone and there were a lot of major moments throughout the show. The event took over the course of two nights and that meant several memorable events were able to take place. Some of these involved surprises and betrayals, and now we know the thinking behind one of those changes, even if it is a bit odd. One of the surprises at WrestleMania 38 saw the Miz turn on Logan Paul after the two of them defeated the Mysterios. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, part of Paul’s deal was that he would wind up being a babyface when he his time in WWE was up. Miz attacking Paul was designed to cause the turn. There is no word on if Paul will be returning to WWE in the future. Opinion: I’m not sure how well this plan is going to work but at least there was an idea in place. Paul is not known for being a likable guy and he spent the entire match mocking the beloved Eddie Guerrero. It is going to take something bigger than Miz beatin..

REVIEW: Smackdown – September 9, 2005: Moving Day

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Smackdown Date: September 9, 2005 Location: Gwinnett Center, Duluth, Georgia Attendance: 4,000 Commentators: Michael Cole, Tazz It’s a big night as Smackdown moves over to Fridays, where it would stay for a very long time to come. This is a stacked card with Batista defending the World Title against JBL in a bullrope match, Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio in a cage match and Heidenreich/Animal defending the Tag Team Titles against MNM. Let’s get to it. A small note about this show: the first hour was aired on WWE..

Chavo Guerrero Makes His Debut In AEW

The payroll increases. There were a pair of debuts on AEW Dynamite: Fyter Fest Part 2 this week, with the first one being Nick Gage. Later in the show, another recognizable figure made his presence known, as Chavo Guerrero made his debut with the company. During Andrade El Idolo’s segment with Tony Schiavone, Andrade announced that he had a major announcement for everyone. He announced that he had hired a new special consultant, and then brought out Chavo. What?! Chavo Guerrero (@mexwarrior) is here and he's the new executive consultant for @AndradeElIdolo. REVIEW: Great American Bash 2005: Story Time

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Great American Bash 2005 Date: July 24, 2005 Location: HSBC Arena, Buffalo, New York Attendance: 8,000 Commentators: Michael Cole, Tazz It’s their patriotic show, which isn’t likely to mean much in regards to anything more than the name. The official main event is Batista defending the World Title against JBL but the real main event is Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio over the secret that Guerrero wants to tell Rey’s son Dominic. I’m not seeing a great show here, but it could be lot worse. Let’s get to it. The openin..

Surprising Name Seen As A Top Babyface On Monday Night Raw

He’s starting fast. There are a lot of people on the main WWE roster at the moment and that is something that offers a variety of options. At the same time though, the top of the roster is rather heel heavy at the moment. For as much of the talent that they have, they do not have many good guys. That means the company needs some new stars, and one of the names the company sees as a top face on Monday Night Raw may surprise you. Back in 2006, Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio had one of the most unique feuds in history as they fought over the custody of Rey’s son Dominick. The feud saw a ladder match for Dominick with Rey winning and Dominick mostly left WWE TV. He is now back though and a full time wrestler, which has included being put into a pretty big spot on Monday Night Raw. It turns out that he is a little bigger of a star than previously thought. According to PWInsider Elite, Dominick is now considered one of the top faces on Monday Night Raw. Dominick is seen as one of the thre..

Classic Match: Eddie Guerrero vs. Kurt Angle From “Wrestlemania XX”

Viva la mania. There are very few wrestlers who are pure naturals. They know how to talk, they know how to move in the ring and they know how to capture an audience’s imagination. If you can get two of them into the same match on the big stage, you’re in for a treat. That was the case at “Wrestlemania XX”. [This post contains video, click to play] WWE has posted the full version of Kurt Angle vs. Eddie Guerrero from “Wrestlemania XX” for Guerrero’s WWE Championship. The match was presented as a culture clash with Angle not wanting a former addict like Guerrero representing WWE as its champion. Guerrero promised to win and get high on the feeling of being WWE Champion. This was Guerrero’s first major feud as champion after winning the title from Brock Lesnar at “No Way Out 2004” about a month earlier. Check out a review of the full show here. Opinion: This was a great stretch of wrestling as Guerrero was having the run of his life and having the best matches of his career. You kn..
