He’s Back? Update On Return Of Injured WWE Superstar

Welcome back. There are all kinds of wrestlers on the WWE roster, to the point where it can be difficult to keep track of everyone. It makes things even more complicated when someone leaves television for one reason or another, which happens every so often. A current WWE star is gone, but now we have a better idea of when he might be back in the ring, albeit maybe not on television. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: No More: How Vince McMahon Has Been Almost Totally Removed From WrestleMania 39 Back in December 2022, Matt Riddle was written off television with an injury at the hands of Solo Sikoa, with WWE saying that he would be gone for six weeks. Now, according to PWInsider.com, Riddle is advertised for Monday Night Raw in Brooklyn, New York on February 13. There is no word on if this return will take place or if Riddle will appear before the show. Riddle is fairly awesome at what he does. Huge Reunion Set For October 10 Monday Night Raw

It’s a homecoming. Stables have long since been a major concept in WWE and it makes a lot of sense. Putting a group of wrestlers together allows them to fill in more television time while also getting more people on the show. That is a tricky thing to do and a stable can make it that much easier. Now WWE is bringing back one of the biggest stables ever for a special reunion. As announced by the Barclays Center Twitter, D-Generation X will be reuniting to celebrate twenty five years of the team on the October 10 Monday Night Raw. The members who will be appearing are not specified but Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Road Dogg and X-Pac appear in the clip. There is no word on what the team will be doing during their reunion. D-Generation X has had various reunions over the years after splitting up full time. BROOKLYN! The DX 25th Anniversary Celebration is set to take place at @wwe Monday Night RAW on October 10!? NXT LVL Up Results – July 22, 2022

NXT LVL Up Date: July 22, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Sudu Shah, Nigel McGuinness This show has started to change a little bit in recent weeks and that is a good thing. There have been some original interviews and even a tease of some storylines. It shouldn’t be that hard to do SOMETHING with this show but unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be WWE’s idea. Maybe they have a different idea this week though so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Thea Hail vs. Brooklyn Barlow Chase U is here with Hail. They fight over wrist control to start before trading some rollups for two each. A headlock takeover puts Hail down and we hit the armbar as commentary talks about how much Chase U appreciates Hail. Something like a seated abdominal stretch brings Hail back to life for a side slam. A standing moonsault into Hail Yeah finishes Barlow at 5:37. Result: Thea Hail b. Brooklyn Barlow – Hail Yeah (5:37) Hank Walker isn’t going to let Duke Hudson disre..

NXT LVL Up Results – June 3, 2022

NXT LVL Up Date: June 3, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Sudu Shah The normal trend of this show is likely to continue this week as we have three more matches between people who aren’t usually going to make it to NXT proper. That can make for some acceptable background noise but rarely much more than that unfortunately. You get used to the concept though so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Fallon Henley vs. Brooklyn Barlow They go to the mat to start and it’s a pair of standoffs before Henley grabs the armbar. An exchange of rollups get two each and Barlow wants her to bring it. Back up and they fight over a lockup until Barlow starts working on the arm instead. She cranks on the neck as well but Henley fights out with a faceplant. A running knee finishes for Henley 4:22. Result: Fallon Henley b. Brooklyn Barlow – Running knee (4:22) Tatum Paxley vs. Sloane Jacobs They grapple around to start with neither being able to ge..

Interesting Update On Miro’s Recent Whereabouts

So that’s where he has been. When a wrestling promotion has a lot of wrestlers on its roster, it can be difficult to keep track of where everyone is. It can be even more difficult when someone misses a bit of time for one reason or another, as fans will forget them even more quickly. If someone is gone for a significant amount of time, it makes things far worse. Now we know where one missing star has been. AEW star Miro has revealed that he is currently living in Brooklyn filming a pilot of some sort but without elaborating on what it is. There is no word on when Miro is expected back on AEW television. He has not wrestled since the Full Gear pay per view in November 2021 due to a hamstring injury, though he has reportedly been ready to return to the ring for a while now. Super excited about this upcoming pilot. Living in Brooklyn has definitely opened my eyes about living in a city, walking to a gym and groceries. #Dushkin pic.twitter.com/cqByK9UURV — Miro (@ToBeMiro) March 28, 202..

WWE Promoting Survivor Series In A Pretty Cool Way

It’s time to hype it up. Later this week, WWE is bringing Survivor Series to Brooklyn, which is going to get even more attention than usual. Survivor Series is already one of the biggest shows on the WWE calendar, but now it is taking place in New York City. That means WWE is going to want to get as much extra attention as they can. It seems that they have a plan on how to do just that. According to Fightful Select, a group of WWE stars will be involved in a major media appearance later this week. Big E., the Miz, Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, Bianca Belair and the Street Profits will be appearing on the Late Show With Stephen Colbert later this week. The sketch was filmed in advance, though there is no word on when it will air. In addition, Roman Reigns is scheduled to appear on this Wednesday’s edition of the Tonight Show. Wrestlers have appeared on late night TV before. Check out some of the cooler moments: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click..

Monday Night Raw Live Coverage And Results – November 15, 2021

wMonday Night Raw Date: November 15, 2021 Location: Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, Indiana Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Byron Saxton, Corey Graves It’s the go home show for Survivor Series and that means we should be in for some build to the show. Granted that has been the case for a few weeks now and the focus has been on whatever comes after the show instead. Maybe we can talk about the show a bit more this week, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Kevin Owens trying to make people believe he had changed last week. Then he lost to Seth Rollins and beat up Big E. anyway. Here is Big E. for a chat. He thanks the fans for their attention before moving on to Roman Reigns. The Usos attacked his friends and now it is time to beat Reigns like he stole something. There better be some empty beds in those Brooklyn hospitals for them because he is taking a piece of Reigns that can never come back. That’s for Sunday but this is Monday Night Raw, so he ..

More On Adam Cole’s WWE Contract Situation, What Hasn’t Happened

Someone might want to get on that. NXT is a pretty unique place in the wrestling world as it serves not only as its own wrestling show but also as the official developmental promotion for WWE. That can make things all the more difficult for them, as NXT wrestlers are not meant to stick around for very long. One name who has been around for a long time might not be around much longer though. Earlier this week, a story emerged that NXT’s Adam Cole’s WWE contract expired later this month. According to Fightful Select, WWE has yet to offer Cole a new long term contract, but it is something they plan on doing. There is no word on what Cole plans to do, though he is said to have a great relationship with the people running NXT. Cole’s contract originally expired in July after the Great American Bash but he agreed to an extension through Summerslam weekend. After debuting with NXT in August 2017 at Takeover: Brooklyn III, Cole would soon join forces with Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly and B..

Following that, both Bayley and the NXT Women’s Champion entered in style with Bayley paying tribute to Dusty Rhodes by adorning herself in polka dots and Banks riding into the Barclays Center in a Cadillac Escalade with a full security detail. In a match that had the hot Brooklyn crowd on their feet from its onset, Bayley and Banks left everything in the ring in their quest for NXT Women’s gold. Both women took an incredible amount of risks throughout the ..

WWE RUMOR: Important Detail On Survivor Series

Kind of an important detail. As you have probably heard, WWE is back on the road for the first time in over fifteen months. That is a great change of pace for WWE and it is already feeling like something more important. WWE has needed to hit the ground running after their time in Florida and now they are going elsewhere. We might even know where one of their most important shows is going. According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Wrestling Podcast, this year’s Survivor Series is expected to take place at the Barclay’s Center in New York City, New York. WWE has yet to announce the location of the show or any matches for the card. As previously reported, the Rock is rumored to be appearing at the event. This would be the fourth time the event would be held in New York, following 1996, 2002 and 2011. Tentative plans for Survivor Series location is Barclays Center in Brooklyn NY. pic.twitter.com/EtKlmmNHs9 — Andrew Zarian (@AndrewZarian) July 22, 2021 Survivor Series is one of the big ..

FULL MATCH: Historic International Title Change

It’s a classic. WWE is an international company and the biggest wrestling company in the world. Its roster includes some of the most well known wrestlers throughout the world with names from a variety of countries. That can make for some interesting moments as you have some very unique pairings. WWE is taking a look back at one of the more international matches it has ever presented. WWE has released the full match video of Kevin Owens vs. Finn Balor from Beast In The East. The match took place in Tokyo, Japan on July 4, 2015 and saw Balor defeat Owens to become the new NXT Champion. The special featured WWE wrestlers with Balor vs. Owens being the only NXT match. NXT Live Coverage And Results – June 15, 2021

NXT Date: June 15, 2021 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Beth Phoenix, Wade Barrett We’re past a pretty lackluster Takeover and that means it is time to start getting ready for the rest of the summer. I’m not sure what that is going to included but William Regal was teasing some kind of a big change. That could mean multiple things, though there are some rumors of what it could mean, most of which are rather intriguing. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Takeover. Here is a serious looking William Regal for a chat. Regal talks about being with NXT from the beginning, including starting at the commentary desk for the first Takeover. NXT has grown throughout the last few years and they have gone around the world, including to his hometown of Blackpool. Regal gets a bit emotional as he talks about everything that NXT has done for everyone involved here. He thanks everyone who took them to San Jose and Houston and Brooklyn and Portland..

WWE Hoping To Get The Rock For Survivor Series Appearance

It’s worth a try. There are very few instances where a wrestler becomes bigger than the promotion they are in. Every now and then though, it becomes clear that a wrestler has nothing left to accomplish in the sport and it is time to move on. That has only taken place a handful of times in wrestling history but now one of the biggest names of all time might be heading back to the wrestling world. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is hoping that this year’s Survivor Series will be a major show. The company is hoping to hold the event at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, as well as having the Rock appear at the show. There is nothing to suggest that a deal has been made at this time and it is not clear if Rock would be available for the show in the first place. The Rock made his WWE debut at Survivor Series in 1996. Should this happen, there is a chance that it could be part of the build towards a Universal Title match between the Rock and Roman Reigns. WWE ha..

REVIEW: NXT Takeover: Brooklyn IV: Their Big Night

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Takeover: Brooklyn IV Date: August 18, 2018 Location: Barclays Center, New York City, New York Commentators: Mauro Ranallo, Percy Watson, Nigel McGuinness It’s time for the biggest show of the year and as usual, there are multiple options for most of the card. The key to tonight though is going to be the live crowd, who are going to be over the top for a show like this. If Gargano vs. Ciampa III is anything resembling the previous matches, we’re in for a major treat. Let’s get to it. The opening video focuses on the..

NXT UK Results – April 17, 2019

NXT UK Date: April 17, 2019 Location: Brooklyn Pier 12, New York City, New York Commentators: Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness We’re back stateside again with a batch of shows taped from Axxess. That means things could be all over the place as there is usually something big on the episodes for the sake of making it feel special. I’m not sure what to expect from things here though and that can make things a little more interesting. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Coffey Brothers vs. Raul Mendoza/Humberto Carrillo As usual, commentary focuses on how good looking Carrillo is. Mark armbars Mendoza to start before taking him down for an early stomping. It’s off to Joe vs. Carrillo with Humberto’s handspring elbow connecting for one. A moonsault misses and Joe’s running headbutt to the ribs has Carrillo in trouble in the corner. Joe slaps on a seated full nelson and even puts Carrillo face first onto the mat to make it even worse. Carrillo powers out (impressive) so it’s a butterfly swing..

Hold Your Horses. Rumor Killer On Possible WrestleMania Ending.

Not so fast? Earlier this week, the SmackDown women’s division, the SmackDown Women’s Title and the main event of WrestleMania 35 (for the Raw Women’s Title) all took a major turn when Charlotte defeated Asuka for the SmackDown Women’s Title. It’s not clear what this is going to mean yet for WrestleMania, but one rumored event seems to not be the case anymore. According to Dave Meltzer on F4WOnline.com by way of 411mania.com, there is no truth to the rumor that WWE is planning to have the Four Horsewomen of NXT pose to end the show. The four (Bayley, Sasha Banks, Charlotte and Becky Lynch) could all leave the show with titles, though there are currently no plans to have them recreate their pose from Takeover: Brooklyn in 2015. However, Meltzer does mention that Vince McMahon could change his mind all over again. So this isn’t happening. Check out the original pose: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is a rather big relief as there was almost reason to have thi..

Velveteen Dream Might Be In Trouble

Is it a bad dream? Over the last few years, few superstars have risen faster than the Velveteen Dream. He’s gone from what felt like a joke of a talent to a heck of a performer and one of the most popular heroes in NXT. His work has been incredible and he has more charisma than he knows what to do with, but there might be a bit of a roadblock on his path towards the top of NXT. According to Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline.com by way of NoDQ.com, Velveteen Dream may be in trouble over a recent string of tweets that he sent out and then deleted, where he complained about not being called up to the main roster yet. Velveteen Dream has tweeted some controversial statements and since deleted them before so it is likely the subject that got him in trouble this time. It hasn’t been limited to Twitter either, as Velveteen Dream wore tights at Takeover: Brooklyn IV that said “CALL ME UP VINCE!”. Dig those tights! Oh and check out a good match: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: I..

Rumor: Is EC3 On His Way To The Main Roster?

He’ll get there. One of the most interesting things to see in the world of WWE is talents getting the call up from NXT to the main roster. Some of these can be almost instant successes while some of them might not be as interesting as others. It’s interesting to see how many people seem like they could make the jump instantaneously while others might take some time. In some cases though, there’s a delay for a specific reason. That’s the case here. According to Mike Johnson on PW Insider Elite Audio, EC3 might have been ready to be called up around Summerslam but suffered a concussion during his match at Takeover: Brooklyn IV. EC3 missed over a month of action after the show but has since returned to TV. There is no word on when he’ll be called up, though his name has been rumored for a move to the main roster for awhile now. Here’s what might be coming to the main roster: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: EC3 going to the main roster makes a lot of sense as he’s t..

NXT Date: August 15, 2018 Location: Full Sail University, Winter Park, Florida Commentators: Nigel McGuinness, Percy Watson, Mauro Ranallo It’s the go home show for Takeover: Brooklyn and we now have a new main event of NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa vs. Johnny Gargano in a Last Man Standing match. The big question now is who attacked Aleister Black, who was originally in the match but was found unconscious in the parking lot last week. Odds are that one is going to take some time to find out though so let’s get to it. In Memory Of Jim Neidhart. We open with a recap of the NXT Title situation, including a look at Black being laid out. Street Profits vs. The Mighty The fans sound like they’re chanting MIGHTY JOBBERS. Miller and Ford start things off with the former taking over off some chops in the corner. Ford jumps over him though and it’s off to Dawkins to run Thorn over. A belly to back suplex into a moonsault (Black Panther Splash) sets up the old World’s Greatest Tag Team jump ov..
