Full List Of Unannounced And Surprise Royal Rumble Entrants

Nice to see you. The Royal Rumble is one of the most unique events on the WWE calendar, as the company is able to put dozens of wrestlers into a pair of matches and set up some of their biggest shows of the year in Wrestlemania. Putting together two groups of thirty wrestlers can be quite the task though, and now we know everyone WWE had to bring in to help make things better. This weekend’s WWE Royal Rumble event featured the usual men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches. Most of the matches’ participants were announced in advance, with a few names being revealed during the matches themselves. Here are the unannounced names from both the men’s and women’s matches: Women Melina Cameron Ivory Alicia Fox Sarah Logan Molly Holly Ronda Rousey (Winner) Rousey was making her first appearance since WrestleMania 35 when she lost the Raw Women’s Title to Becky Lynch. Logan was released by WWE in 2020 and has not wrestled anywhere since. Men Ridge Holland Drew McIntyre Bad Bunny Shane McMahon..

Several More WWE Wrestlers Backstage At WrestleMania In Gear

Always bring your gear. There are all kinds of people on the WWE roster and that means some of them are going to need to have some trouble getting on television every now and then. That makes things a little bit frustrating for a lot of the roster, which would likely be the case for someone who does not make WrestleMania. That was the case this year, but it was made even worse for some wrestlers. WrestleMania 37 was one of the biggest events that the company has ever held as the show took place in Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Just like last year, the show was split over two nights, allowing things to breathe a bit more than usual. There were fourteen matches held over the two nights, some of which included more than the usual two wrestlers. It turns out there were even more available. According to Fightful Select, several wrestlers were backstage in their gear but were not used in any matches. These wrestlers included Peyton Royce, Jinder Mahal, Ivar and Alicia Fox, the l..

Main Event Results – November 22, 2018

Main Event Date: November 22, 2018 Location: Staples Center, Los Angeles, California Commentators: Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness, Percy Watson It’s a holiday week and that means things were being done a little differently this time around. The main focus was the fallout from Survivor Series which…was odd. There were some good moments though and that could make for some interesting choices in the highlight department. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Ember Moon vs. Alicia Fox Fox flips her down to start but Moon is right back up, much to Fox’s annoyance. A headscissors has Moon in more trouble and there’s a shot to the face for bad measure. Back up and Moon charges into some boots in the corner, followed by a hair pull to the mat. There’s a flipping neckbreaker to keep Moon in trouble. The chinlock goes on with Moon being pulled back down by the hair. Moon makes the comeback with some flying forearms but Fox gets two off a big boot. Ember hits Wade Barrett’s spinning suplex out of t..

Starrcade 2018 Live Coverage And Results

Starrcade 2018 Date: November 25, 2018 Location: US Bank Arena, Cincinnati, Ohio Commentators: Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton This is something that could range from interesting to head scratching. Last night, WWE held a big house show featuring stars from both shows under the name of Starrcade. The show ran about three and a half hours and tonight we’re seeing a one hour version with some special moments and matches selected. Let’s get to it. We open with Elias playing a little song. He knows it can’t get better than having him here but he’s willing to try with a special guest. That would be Ric Flair, who puts Elias over as a big deal. Elias thinks they need to sing a son off his album and asks people to silence their cell phones, but here are Nia Jax, Mickie James, Tamina and Alicia Fox to cut them off. Nia says they want to walk with him and Flair is rather pleased. Flair calls them all beautiful and Elias sings some of Elias’ Words. Even Flair gets in a few lines and dances a bit u..

Video: Ric Flair Sings With Elias At Starrcade

That’s a special one. This weekend, WWE presented a special house show in the form of Starrcade. The original run of the show was the biggest event of the year for the NWA/WCW and was brought back last year for the first time since December 2000. The show was almost a tribute to WCW and the theme continued to a certain degree this year, including a special appearance from Ric Flair. Saturday night at Starrcade, Flair appeared for a concert with Elias. Before the singing began, the two of them talked for a bit with Flair saying he was a big fan of Elias and his music. He even said that Elias could have any woman in the company, save for Charlotte of course. The two of them were eventually joined by Tamina, Nia Jax, Alicia Fox and Mickie James. Here’s what happened: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is the kind of thing that makes such a show feel important and that’s what they were going for here. Flair was one of the stars of the show and it made for an entert..

Mixed Match Challenge Results – November 20, 2018

Mixed Match Challenge Date: November 20, 2018 Location: Staples Center, Los Angeles, California Commentators: Michael Cole, Renee Young, Vic Joseph We’ve actually arrived at a turning point here with the last night of the regular season. After tonight we move into the playoffs, which should make things a little bit better. Unfortunately we’re getting the four winless teams battling it out for a spot in the final four, because going 1-3 is good enough to get a spot in the playoffs. Let’s get to it. The announcers talk about the prizes. Raw Division: Alicia Fox/Jinder Mahal vs. Bobby Roode/Natalya The losers are out and the Singh Brothers are all banged up from Brock Lesnar destroying them last week. The guys start things off and the fans are behind Bobby in what feels like a rare occurrence. Roode shakes off a wristlock and starts chopping away but can’t hit the Glorious DDT. It’s off to the women with Fox getting caught in a slingshot atomic drop, minus Natalya sticking her knee out..

Live Fan Report From Smackdown Live, July 17, 2018

One of our readers, William Moore (aka “the man with two words for a name”) attended the July 17, 2018 Smackdown Live show from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Below is his review from the event and some of things you didn’t see on TV: TO confirm a previous post from Wrestling Rumors the show did start off with a pre live dark match of the USOS vs The BAR. This match was about 10 minutes in length. It was a typical back and forth match with the USOS winning the match with about 5 minutes to spare before going live. The arena was only about 75% full with a good majority of the 2nd level covered. Which is a shame that the arena could not sell out with it only being about a 8.500 seat arena. After the match the ring crew hurried and put a fresh cover on the ring. They played a replay of the drop the mic episode that featured the Bellas, Alicia Fox, and Carmella. As you saw Hardy opened the show to a nice ovation. First match AJ Styles vs Cien Almas. AJ did his usual..

Gail Kim Says She Reached Out To Alicia Fox After Travis Browne Incident

Impact Wrestling Hall of Famer Gail Kim recently appeared on the WPW Podcast. You can see highlights below, and the full show above. Gail Talks About Women Wrestlers Getting Paid Equally: They put their bodies through the same thing the guys go through. These girls should be getting paid equally. Everyone is an independent contractor, so everyone gets paid differently. So, we don’t really discuss those things amongst ourselves because money is kind of a taboo subject to this day. But, I think if there are two girls that are going to main event a pay-per-view, they should be getting paid the same amount as two guys main eventing. I mean, they are obviously important enough to main event and they are good enough to main event… so they should be getting paid. Gail Talks About Who She Like To Dream Matches With: I would have loved to have a proper feud with some of the girls now, Allie, Rosemary, Taya, there are so many great girls. But, of course, you know Charlotte is an amazing a..

WWE Extreme Rules Results – June 4 2017

<p>Welcome to Ringside News’ coverage of WWE Extreme Rules 2017!</p><p>Let’s start at the top for a change: the Kick-Off show begins at 7:00 PM EST, and the main show starts at 8 PM. The Kick-Off show will see another rematch between Kalisto and Apollo Crews, with Titus O’Neil in Apollo’s corner. Originally the pre-show match was supposed to be the mixed tag match but it was changed just today. So join us for the Kick-Off show and get the results of this match and the rundown of the entire card.</p><p>Two tag team matches take place on the main card tonight, one of which is The Hardy Boyz Vs Sheamus & Cesaro for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships. This match will take place inside of a steel cage and the stipulation is fitting because things have gotten personal between the two teams. The other match is the mixed tag team match with Rich Swann & Sasha Banks against Noam Dar and Alicia Fox. This match was on the pre-show but was moved to the main card, as far as I can tell. The match doesn’t really have a stipulation, besides the genders, but it will look to settle the score once and for all between Noam Dar, Alicia Fox, and Rich Swann.</p><p>Dean Ambrose puts his Intercontinental Championship on the line against The Miz on tonight’s show. This match is kind of the opposite of every other on the card tonight, as Dean Ambrose will lose his title if he gets disqualified against Miz. This stipulation was put in place because The Miz claims Ambrose cannot win matches without getting crazy, and also to differentiate it from the rest of the card. The odds are already stacked against Ambrose, but there is a strong chance <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/elias-samson" title="Elias Samson">Elias Samson</a></strong> may interfere and attack The Miz – reflecting his “eye for an eye” lyric on Raw this past week. Let us know who you think will walk out with the gold!</p><p>Speaking of gold, Neville stands a strong chance of losing his tonight, as he faces <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/austin-aries" title="Austin Aries">Austin Aries</a></strong> in a submission match. This is the third PPV in a row that Neville and Aries will have gone toe-to-toe and it seems like the chances of Neville retaining are super slim. Aries has been run through the gauntlet time and time again by Neville and TJP, but tonight the odds actually favour him, and the only way to keep things going is for Aries to grab a win against the King of the Cruiserweights.</p><p>Alexa Bliss battles Bayley in a Kendo Stick-On-A-Pole match, following one of the worst WWE TV segments in recent memory. Last Monday, Bliss gave us a Bayley, This Is Your Life segment, but what transpired was a lot more like Jerry Springer than The Rock ‘n’ Sock Connection. This left us less-than-excited for the title match tonight, especially considering the gimmick of the match means that there won’t be any use of the Kendo Stick for the majority of the match. I expect this match to be as good as it could be, simply because of how good Bayley and Alexa are, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Bayley take the win!</p><p>The main event tonight is the first-ever Extreme Rules Fatal 5-Way between Finn Balor, <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/samoa-joe" title="Samoa Joe">Samoa Joe</a></strong>, Bray Wyatt, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns.</p>

Another Switch In Tonight’s Betting Odds for Extreme Rules

<p>We are about an hour away from Extreme Rules and the final betting odds are in. It was noted earlier today that <a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/2017/06/04/samoe-joe-no-longer-favorite-win-extreme-rules/">Seth Rollins was the favorite to win</a> the #1 contender match for the WWE Universal Championship, however there has been another switch. Samoe Joe, who was the favorite earlier this week, is once again the favorite to win the match.</p><p>Here are the updated odds:</p><p><strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/samoa-joe" title="Samoa Joe">Samoa Joe</a></strong> (-900), Seth Rollins (+600), Finn Balor (+3500), Bray Wyatt (+5000) and Roman Reigns (+7500).</p><p><strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/the-miz" title="The Miz">The Miz</a></strong> (-4800) is favored to win where Dean Ambrose (+1600) will lose the title if he is disqualified.</p><p>Alexa Bliss (-2300) is favored to retain the Women’s Championship against Bayley (+1100) in a Kendo Stick-on-a-Pole match.</p><p>Cesaro and Sheamus (-16,000) are favored to win the Tag Team Championship from The Hardy Boyz (+4000) in a Steel Cage match.</p><p>Neville (-7500) is favored to retain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship against <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/austin-aries" title="Austin Aries">Austin Aries</a></strong> (+2500) in a Submission match.</p><p>Rich Swann & Sasha Banks (-6000) are favored to win the Mixed Tag Team match against Noam Dar & Alicia Fox (+2000).</p><p>Coverage of tonight’s <a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/2017/06/04/wwe-extreme-rules-results-june-4-2017/">show kicks off at 7PM ET</a>. We will have a live fan discussion on <a href="http://www.ringsidetalk.net" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">RingsideTalk.net</a>.</p>

WWE 205 Live Results – May 30 2017

<p>Welcome to the fastest hour on Television, 205 Live! You can find all the results for the cruiserweight show right here.</p><p>205 Live gets a huge appearance tonight from The Boss, <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/sasha-banks" title="Sasha Banks">Sasha Banks</a></strong>! The Boss has been embroiled in a feud with Alicia Fox, which has inadvertently involved both Noam Dar and Rich Swann. These four will battle each other at Extreme Rules in a mixed tag team match on the kick-off show. It’s unclear what Banks’ role will be on tonight’s show but she is likely to face Alicia Fox, with Noam Dar in her corner. That would mark the first ever women’s match to take place on 205 Live!</p><p>Elsewhere on tonight’s 205 Live, Neville was beyond furious on last night’s Raw, after he lost to <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/austin-aries" title="Austin Aries">Austin Aries</a></strong> via submission in a tag match. Neville was so angry he couldn’t even answer Charly Caruso’s questions after the fact. It seems Neville will certainly be out to hurt Aries in some fashion before they go head-to-head in a submission match at Extreme Rules. Neville will want to protect his Cruiserweight Championship at any cost and Aries should keep an eye over his shoulder!</p><p>On top of that, tonight we can expect some fallout from Akira Tozawa’s huge win over Brian Kendrick last week, and more of <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/drew-gulak" title="Drew Gulak">Drew Gulak</a></strong>’s no high-flying campaign. Are you excited to see The Boss? Let us know in the comments, check out the Ringside News app, and enjoy the show!</p>

New Match Announced for Sunday’s Extreme Rules Event

<p>Ahead of tonight’s RAW, WWE announced that Noam Dar will team up with Alicia Fox to take on Sasha Banks and Rich Swann in a mixed tag team match at Sunday’s Extreme Rules event. Here is the updated card for the show:</p><p><strong>Fatal 5 Way to Crown #1 Contender to WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar</strong><br />Seth Rollins vs. <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/samoa-joe" title="Samoa Joe">Samoa Joe</a></strong> vs. Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns</p><p><strong>Kendo Stick on a Pole Match for the RAW Women’s Title</strong><br />Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss</p><p><strong>WWE Intercontinental Title Match</strong><br /><strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/the-miz" title="The Miz">The Miz</a></strong> vs. Dean Ambrose<br /><em>The title can change hands on a disqualification.</em></p><p><strong>Submission Match for the WWE Cruiserweight Title</strong><br /><strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/austin-aries" title="Austin Aries">Austin Aries</a></strong> vs. Neville</p><p><strong>Steel Cage match for RAW Tag Team Title Match</strong><br />Cesaro and Sheamus vs. The Hardys</p><p>Alicia Fox & Noam Dar vs. Sasha Banks & Rich Swann</p>

Future Plans Revealed for Sasha Banks

<p>Coming out of Monday’s episode of RAW, Dave Meltzer mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio that the company is setting up a mix tag match that feature <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/alicia-fox" title="Alicia Fox">Alicia Fox</a></strong> and Noam Dar vs. <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/sasha-banks" title="Sasha Banks">Sasha Banks</a></strong> and a male partner.</p><p>Meltzer indicated that Banks’ partner will probably be Cedric Alexander, as Alexander has history with Noam Dar and Alicia Fox prior to his injury. With Alexander scheduled to return from injury on this week’s episode of 205 Live, it’s very possible that they set up the match as early as tonight.</p><p>In regards to the RAW Women’s Championship, Banks isn’t expected to be put back in the title picture anytime soon. Right now they are doing a program between <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/alexa-bliss" title="Alexa Bliss">Alexa Bliss</a></strong> and Bayley.</p>

Reason Why Sasha Banks Loss to Alicia Fox on Monday’s RAW

<p>As seen on the May 8th episode of RAW, Sash Banks pinned <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/alicia-fox" title="Alicia Fox">Alicia Fox</a></strong>, but the the former Divas Champion had a shoulder up outside the ref’s field of vision, which led to Fox getting another shot at The Boss this past Monday night. This time around, Fox won the match.</p><p>With <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/noam-dar" title="Noam Dar">Noam Dar</a></strong> at ringside, Fox managed to muscle out of a Bank Statement attempt and nailed Banks in the small of her back with a ruthless Scissor Kick to claim the victory.</p><p>For those wondering about Banks losing to Fox, the word going around is that <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/vince-mcmahon" title="Vince McMahon">Vince McMahon</a></strong> isn’t high on her like other people are. Therefore, he won’t protect her from losing matches.</p><p>While McMahon recognizes the reaction that Banks gets from the crowd and her overall appeal, he believes that she is injury prone because of how she operates in the ring.</p><p>It’s also believed that a long title reign is very unlikely for her anytime soon.</p><p>Banks became a three-time champion last year, but she didn’t have a successful title defense against Charlotte Flair. A lot of the reasoning behind that is McMahon doesn’t trust her to hold a title for long periods of time.</p><p>Banks has a history of back problems and that is a huge huge red flag for McMahon because he sees putting the RAW Women’s Championship on her as a big risk. She’s been hurt or injured quite often and will need to have back surgery eventually.</p>

WWE RAW Results – May 15th, 2017

<p>The show opens with a video package focusing on Braun Strowman trying to take out Roman Reigns after WWE Payback. Footage from last week in London is shown of Reigns confronting Strowman and going after his injured elbow.</p><p>The RAW opening hits. We go live inside the Prudential Center in New Jersey where a big display of pyro goes off. <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/michael-cole" title="Michael Cole">Michael Cole</a></strong> is the first to welcome us to the show.</p><p>RAW General Manager Kurt Angle opens the show and heads to the ring. Angle talks about Roman Reigns “settling the score” with Braun Strowman last week. He says Strowman suffered a shattered elbow, flew back to the United States and underwent surgery. Angle says Strowman may be out of action for up to six months. He notes that Strowman set his sights on the Universal Championship and asks who will now challenge Brock Lesnar for the championship. Angle gave it a lot of thought and it has to be earned, not given. He says at Extreme Rules for the first time ever, we will have a Fatal Five Way match and the winner will face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship. Angle has given thought to who those five will be. He reveals the five: Seth Rollins, <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/samoa-joe" title="Samoa Joe">Samoa Joe</a></strong>, Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns.</p><p>Angle promises Extreme Rules will be historical.</p><p>Here comes Roman Reigns to interrupt.</p><p>Angle stays in the ring as Reigns gets inside with a mic in hand. Very mixed reaction for Reigns in Newark tonight. Reigns says we don’t need a Fatal Five Way match because he is the No. 1 Contender. “This is my yard. I beat <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/the-undertaker" title="The Undertaker">The Undertaker</a></strong> at WrestleMania. I put Strowman in that ambulance. And I’m the only guy around here that can beat Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship.” Finn Balor interrupts and has something to say.</p><p>Balor brings up he was the first ever Universal Champion. “Oh and I never lost my title,” adds Balor. He says if Reigns wants a “piece of the beast”, the line starts behind him. Reigns tells Balor he has a lot of heart, but he doesn’t have the killer instinct to beat Brock. Balor brings up beating Reigns during his first night on RAW.</p><p>Samoa Joe interrupts. He says Reigns and Balor have it wrong. Joe says it is about two things: actions and results. He talks about choking out Seth Rollins. Joe suggests he will win the Fatal Five Way match and will go on to face Brock Lesnar.</p><p>The lights go out. When they come back on, Bray Wyatt is standing in the middle of the ring and has a mic in hand. Wyatt says the beast is approaching and they are all really scared. “You will cower. You will fall. And you will run,” says Wyatt.</p><p>Here comes Seth Rollins. He says Extreme Rules is still many weeks away and that New Jersey didn’t come here for talking. Rollins says he came here to fight Samoa Joe. Rollins and Joe start brawling at the end of the ramp. Wyatt attacks Balor. Reigns tosses Wyatt out. Rollins works the left knee of Joe against the ropes. Joe limps up the ramp. Wyatt with a shot on Rollins sending him out of the ring. Reigns with a Superman to Wyatt.
