Grayson Waller Confronts Shawn Michaels On Media Conference Call

Nowhere is safe anymore. Following last night’s NXT: Vengeance Day premium live event, Shawn Michaels did a media conference call to discuss the show. However, he was not alone, as Grayson Waller decided to make his feelings known. Waller interrupted Michaels during the call and shared his frustrations about not being HBK’s guy. Waller felt that Carmelo Hayes has taken that place, as was shown in the final moments of the show. Matt Bloom ended up entering the room and removed Waller before he took things too far. Kofi Kingston Makes WWE History at NXT Deadline

Another one for the history books. This past Sunday at NXT Deadline, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods captured the NXT tag team championships by defeating Pretty Deadly. While this was a great moment for The New Day, this championship victory was also historic in a number of ways. As a result of their victory, Kingston broke the record for the most tag team championships in WWE history with 15. The previous record was held by Booker T, who had 14 championship reigns. Welcome back? There have been a lot of changes in WWE over the last few months, including several wrestlers changing gimmicks or characters. Some of them have become new versions while others have reverted more towards what they have done in the past. That might be the case with another star and it is something that fans have been wanting for a long time now. This weekend at NXT Halloween Havoc, a vignette aired showing a mask burning. The mask appeared similar to the one work by T-Bar, suggesting that he might be returning to NXT under his previous persona of Dominik Dijakovic, though this has not been confirmed. BREAKING: NXT Suspends Three Stars After Assaulting Referee

They’re gone for a bit. With so many wrestlers on any of the WWE rosters, it can be difficult to find something for all of them to do. There are only so many ways around this problem, with one of the simplest being to have less wrestlers. WWE has already let a bunch of wrestlers go in recent years, but now there are three more who will not be around for the time being. The main event of this week’s edition of NXT saw Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs defeat Gallus in a Pub Rules match. Following the match, Gallus attacked a referee and were arrested to end the show. NXT’s Twitter has sent out an announcement saying that the team was suspended indefinitely. Gallus moved to NXT from NXT UK in July and has challenged for the NXT Tag Team Titles. You have to get it in where you can. There are several WWE shows every single week with each one looking at a different core of wrestlers. This includes both main roster shows as well as NXT, which has its own world and group of stars. It can be interesting to see someone from NXT get involved with something on the main roster and now that has happened again (kind of). The NXT Twitter account has released a photo of a brawl that took place between Solo Sikoa and Von Wagner at last week’s SmackDown taping. The two have been feuding in NXT and it is unlikely that the brawl suggests that the two are being called up. Instead, the fight was likely held at SmackDown due to the show being taped near the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The footage will likely air on this week’s NXT. There’s the new generation. There are a lot of ways for a wrestler to get into the industry, but one of the things that can offer some instant credibility is being a second generation star. A wrestler with family in the business feels like a bigger deal because they have a connection to the sport and have probably learned more than the average newcomer. That was the case again this weekend, as the daughter of an all time legend took her first step into a much larger world. Dwayne Johnson’s daughter Simone, under the name of Ava Raine, cut her first promo at an NXT live event in Orlando, Florida over the weekend. It happens to everyone. WWE presents a lot of content in any given week and you never know what you might see on any given show. That can include both good and bad things, such as someone getting hurt and being put on the shelf. We have been seeing that take place quite often in recent weeks and now it is the case again with another young, talented star. NXT’s Nathan Frazer has revealed that he is dealing with a minor injury but says that he will be back “before you know it”. Frazer did not go into specifics of his injury or when it took place. This can make for some nice moments, as a show can continue in the path that has been set over its previous years. That will be the case again next month as WWE is bringing back a classic. Over the weekend at NXT In Your House, an announcement was made that the Great American Bash would be returning on Tuesday July 5 as a special episode of the NXT TV show. This will be the third straight year that the Great American Bash has taken place in NXT in July. WWE Using NXT Stars At Live Events Due To Coronavirus Issues

That’s how they’re dealing with things. The Coronavirus is hitting the wrestling world all over again and there is nothing to suggest that it is going away anytime soon. This can cause a heck of a lot of problems in a hurry and that is the case with WWE. The company has a lot of resources available though, and now they are going to have to use some more to their advantage. WWE is holding its annual post Christmas live event at Madison Square Garden in New York City this weekend and a surprise match has been announced. That can even be the case when they are not wrestling, which has opened up a new world of access. VIDEO: Terrible Mistake Takes Place On NXT, Wrestler Removed From Match

That did not look good. Wrestlers are very talented at what they do but there is always the chance of something going wrong. That is the kind of risk that every wrestler takes and it can be made even worse if they try to do something they are not quite ready to pull off. Sometimes that can lead to a bad ending, which was the case this week after a pretty bad mistake. This week’s NXT featured a triple threat match between Io Shirai, Persia Piratto and Jacy Jayne. During the match, Jayne attempted a suicide dive to the floor but caught her feet on the ropes, sending her face first onto the floor. The show went to a commercial and Jayne was gone when it came back without returning later in the match. That can make for some interesting situations in NXT, as you never know who you might see show up next. That was the case this week, as a newcomer made his awaited debut, albeit under a bit of a different moniker. This week on NXT, Joe Gacy defeated Ikemen Jiro in a singles match. After the match was over, Gacy started to walk back to the entrance but stopped to stare at at a man in the stands, who stared back at him. Gacy smiled before walking backstage. The man was named Harland and is better known as Parker Boudreaux, a former college football player who signed with NXT earlier this year. Change of address? The WWE Draft is coming up later this week and that is the kind of thing that could change the way WWE works for the next several months to come. You see new wrestlers showing up in different place and in some cases, it is their first time ever in those places. We might be seeing that again with a group of wrestlers making their main roster debuts. According to Jon Alba of the Living The Gimmick podcast, Hit Row is being discussed for a main roster call up during next month’s WWE Draft. The team has been together in NXT for the last several months, with Isaiah Swerve Scott being the current North American Champion. There is no word on what would happen to the title should the team be called up. The rest of the team includes B Fab, Top Dolla and Ashante Thee Adonis.
