Ronda Rousey Has A Very Unique Injury Heading Into WrestleMania

That’s a unique one. Wrestlers can get hurt at any time and it can mess up some plans in a hurry. You never know how bad someone could get hurt or how long it might take for someone to get better. Some of those injuries are a lot worse than others and some of them are just flat out strange. That is the case again with one of the bigger stars in wrestling today.

During a Facebook gaming live stream, Ronda Rousey revealed that she has torn her labial frenulum, a piece of skin that attaches the upper lip to the gums. As a result, Rousey has been feeling sick and her voice is not as it normally sounds. Rousey is expected to challenge Charlotte for the SmackDown Women’s Title on the first night of WrestleMania 38 on April 2 and there is nothing to suggest that the injury will cause any issues with the match.

Opinion: There are some weird injuries in wrestling and this one is near the top of the list. I’m almost surprised that the thing had a name and that it could get hurt, let alone that Rousey managed to hurt it. This doesn’t sound like something that is going to keep Rousey out of action, but it is something that is going to keep her mind off what she is doing going into one of the biggest matches of her career and that isn’t good.

What do you expect in Rousey vs. Charlotte? What is the weirdest wrestling injury you have ever heard of? Let us know in the comments below.
