Over the weekend at Revolution, Wardlow defeated Samoa Joe to win the TNT Title for the second time. Wardlow then went on to defend the title against Powerhouse Hobbs this week on Dynamite after Hobbs won the Face of the Revolution ladder match to earn a title shot. Hobbs went on to win the title with the help of QT Marshall, winning his first title in AEW. The loss ends Wardlow’s reign at three days, the shortest in the title’s history.

Opinion: This is quite the fast title change and I’m not entirely sure why AEW changed the title so fast. There are multiple ways to have Wardlow drop the title but having it take place three days after he won it is a little weird. What matters is that Hobbs won his first championship and can go on to do something else in the future. This was an interesting result, but Hobbs winning is a good thing.
