Pencil It Out: AEW Pulls Match From Full Gear, Reschedules It For Dynamite
Switch it up. AEW has been around for a little over three and a half years now and during that time they have established a schedule that they tend to follow for their major events. The company presents four regular pay per views, with the next installment coming this weekend. However, they have now made a last minute change, which will affect both this event and the next TV show.
During a media call to promote Full Gear, AEW President Tony Khan announced that the finals of the Full Gear #1 contenders tournament have been moved from Full Gear to Dynamite. This comes after the first round match between Ricky Starks and Lance Archer was postponed due to Starks being not medically cleared to compete. The first round match will now take place on Rampage, with the winner facing Brian Cage on the Full Gear Zero Hour show. The winner of that will face Ethan Page on Dynamite.
They have potential. Check out what we’ll be seeing on Rampage:

Opinion: This is the move that had to be made as there was no real way to make everything work out with the schedule that they had. The good thing is that it is a tournament for a title shot down the line so it isn’t like there was any reason it needed to be at the event. The tournament should go well as there are some talented stars included, and now we get to see the big finale as it was planned, albeit later.
What do you think of the tournament? Who do you have winning? Let us know in the comments below.
