Partner Up: Cody Rhodes Trains For WWE Return With Surprising Pair Of Names
That’s a special honor. One of the biggest WWE stories in 2022 was the return of Cody Rhodes. After being away from the company and wrestling around the world, including in AEW, Rhodes was back and started to take the company by storm. Rhodes would get hurt in June though, putting him on the shelf for the rest of the year. Now it seems that Rhodes is on his way back, and he has had some help getting there.

Over the last few weeks, WWE has been promoting Rhodes more and more, including an interview on the December 26 Monday Night Raw and videos talking about his 2022 return on the following two shows. According to Fightful Select, Rhodes has been training at the WWE Performance Center and hand picked NXT’s Carmelo Hayes and Joe Gacy to help him get ready. There is no word on when Rhodes is expected to return to WWE TV.

Opinion: Rhodes being back is a very nice idea and I’m curious to see how it goes once he gets back. At the same time, it is interesting to see his choices for training partners, as I’m sure anyone would say yes to him right now. Picking Hayes and Gacy to help him get ready is quite the endorsement for the two of them and it wouldn’t shock me to see them both on the main roster sooner than later.
