WATCH: Major Update To Bobby Lashley’s Monday Night Raw Status

Not so fast? Monday Night Raw is coming up on thirty years of weekly wrestling television and that is quite the accomplishment. The show has had all kinds of moments throughout its history, some of which have been more memorable than others. There have also been several stories that start up and are then dropped, which seems to have been the case again this week.

The main event of this week’s Monday Night Raw saw Seth Rollins defeat Bobby Lashley to become #1 contender for the United States Title. The referee was bumped during the match though, meaning Lashley was unable to pin a downed Rollins. Following the match, Adam Pearce fired Lashley to end the show. Pearce has since posted a video to Twitter, saying that Lashley is not fired but there will be repercussions for his actions. The two will meet later this week to see how they can work together.
It was a quick announcement. Check out the match, ..

NXT
Date: December 13, 2022
Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida
Commentators: Vic Joseph, Booker T
We’re done with Deadline and that means it is time to start the rather long road to Vengeance Day in February. Deadline saw the crowning of new Tag Team Champions and a pair of new #1 contenders. That should give us some places to go for the next few weeks and we should be in for some fun, though maybe not so soon after Deadline. Let’s get to it.
We open with a long recap of Deadline.
Here is Roxanne Perez to get thing going….but Grayson Waller interrupts from the parking lot. Waller has the camera walk us into the arena where he brags about everything he can think of until Perez cuts him off. She says he wasn’t the only Iron Survivor but Waller isn’t impressed. Cue Bron Breakker to say Perez did a great job at Deadline and promises she’ll be the next Women’s Champion. Waller brags about outsmarting Breakker, who he’ll outsmart again for the title at Vengeance Day. Bre..

BREAKING: Surprise Title Change Takes Place In NXT Main Event

And there it goes! Titles are some of the most important things in a wrestling promotion as holding a championship makes it clear that a wrestler is one of the biggest stars in a company. Having a bright, shiny title is about as clear of an indication as a fan can get that they should notice a wrestler. As a result, it means a lot when a title changes hands and that was the case this week.
Over the weekend, Roxanne Perez won the NXT Iron Woman Challenge at Deadline to become the new #1 contender for the NXT Women’s Title. This week on NXT, Perez was attacked by NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose, prompting Perez to say she wanted her title shot later in the night. Rose accepted, and went on to lose the title to Perez, ending her title reign at 413 days, the third longest in history.
She’s the new champ. Check out some of Perez’s work in NXT:

Vince McMahon Reportedly Planning WWE Comeback

He might not be done? This has been one of the busiest wrestling years in history with several game changing stories taking place. The biggest of them all has been Vince McMahon’s retirement from WWE. For the first time in nearly forty years, a new regime is in charge of WWE and that is leading to even more changes. However, we might not entirely be done with the old regime.

According to a new report from the Wall Street Journal, McMahon is considering a comeback to WWE. McMahon reportedly felt that he was given bad advice about retiring and believes that the allegations against him will blow over. McMahon retired from WWE in July during an investigation involving various payments made to women over the years over alleged sexual encounters and relationships. There is no word on when McMahon might attempt to return to WWE.

Bring them back? WWE runs all kinds of special events in any given year, with the biggest being described as Premium Live Events. The company has several shows that are presented every single year, but you never know when something new is going to be added to the rotation. Now it seems that WWE might be planning to bring back a classic, but with something extra added on.

According to PWInsider.com, WWE has filed a trademark for “WWE King And Queen Of The Ring”. While not confirmed, this would suggest that WWE is bringing back the King of the Ring event. This was rumored earlier in the year but no announcement was ever officially made. Last year, WWE presented the inaugural Queen’s Crown tournament, but has never held a Queen Of The Ring tournament. There is no word on any details about WWE running either tournament, including when they might happen.

LOOK: WWE Star Changes Up Her Longtime Unique Appearance

It’s one of the most important parts. There are several things that need to come together to make a wrestler a success. While the in-ring and speaking abilities play large roles, one of the first things that fans notice is the wrestler’s look. A wrestler with an interesting look is going to catch someone’s attention rather quickly and now a longtime WWE star has changed her look quite a bit.

REVIEW: Starrcade 2000: Scott Steiner Is A Scary Man

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net, starting today. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?

We’ve uh…..arrived. It’s the final edition of WCW’s flagship show and it’s looking somewhere between a bad C show and a horribly unfunny joke. The main event is Scott Steiner (won the title three weeks ago) defending against Sid Vicious (not in the promotion three weeks ago). Such is life in the dying days of this company. Let’s get to it.

You have their attention. With so much talent on the WWE roster, it can be difficult for wrestlers to find a way to stand out. One of the best ways is to do something during a match or a show that is not seen very often, as it can give fans a moment that they will remember. A WWE star seems to have done that with quite the impressive move, even if it was on a lower level show.

That could keep him out for a bit. AEW’s roster has been built up from several varieties of wrestlers. She’s a surprise. WWE has all kinds of wrestlers on its roster, which allows it to offer a variety of matches with different stars included. They may have done that again, albeit with a name that might be a bit surprising given her history.
