That’s A No: Backstage Reaction To Possible Vince McMahon Return (And It’s Not Happy)

They seem to be a no. There have been a lot of changes to the wrestling world this year and the biggest of them all seems to have been that of Vince McMahon retiring from WWE. McMahon was accused of various relationships with women and paying them off using company funds. The shakeup was felt throughout the company as well as the wrestling world. McMahon had been the force in WWE for such a long time, though a recent report suggested that might be changing again. It just seems that some people are not pleased.

Earlier this week, the Wall Street Journal reported that McMahon was planning a comeback to WWE at some point in the future, believing that he was given bad advice when he was told to retire. According to Fightful Select, over a dozen people in WWE spoke about the situation and the “rarely unanimous” reaction was not wanting McMahon back. One wrestler said they would be worried about the recently rehi..

WRESTLING RUMORS: NXT Set To Change Title Belt Designs

An old look. Titles are some of the most important things in a wrestling promotion. A wrestler holding a title is one of the signs that the company has made an investment into them and it makes them feel like more important deals. The titles themselves are easy to identify as they are big shiny belts, but sometimes they need to be replaced. Now that is the case again, albeit with an old taste.

According to Belt Fan Dan on Twitter, NXT is planning on replacing their current collection of championship belts. NXT’s rainbow championships will be replaced by their previous non-colored designs. There is no word on when the change will take place or when the titles will be switched back to their previous designs. The older versions had been in use since March 2017.
Word on the street is the rainbow NXT belts are going to be replaced with the prior non-colored ones.

Scarlett Competes At WWE Live Event

Fall and pray. This past weekend, Scarlett competed in a WWE ring for the first time on the main roster. She and Karrion Kross battled the team of Emma and Madcap Moss in a tag team match at a live event in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Kross and Scarlett were the winners of the match.
Scarlett has only been featured as Kross’ valet since their debut with the company in 2020. She has been used primarily to bring Kross to the ring and remained mostly on the outside, occasionally interfering in matches.
Scarlett is not new to the ring; she has competed in several other promotions, including WWE before. It is unknown if this will be a regular occurrence on the main roster, or if this was just for this live event.
Editor’s Opinion:
This is very cool to see! I always knew that she had talent in the ring, but with her current gimmick, she had ne..

It’s time for Winter Is Coming and in this case that means a pair of big matches. First up, we have the battle for the World Title and the Dynamite Diamond Ring with Ricky Starks challenging MJF. Other than that, it’s the fourth match in the best of seven series between the Elite and the Death Triangle. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
Elite vs. Death Triangle Match #4 in a Best Of 7 series with Death Triangle up 2-1 and Don Callis on commentary. Matt and Penta start things off with neither being able to get the better of things. Instead everything breaks down and the Elite hits a bunch of dives to take over. We settle back down to Omega working on Pac’s arm as Nick Jackson seems to have hurt his ankle on a dive.
With the actual tag match going on again, Fenix takes over on Matt as Nick is taken to the back. We take a break and come back with Matt beating ..

Triple H is “Underwhelmed” by Returning WWE Stars

Perhaps not everyone knows how to play the game. According to a new report by WrestleVotes, Triple H has not been pleased with several of the talents that he brought back when he took over for Vince McMahon earlier this year.
The report is as follows:
I’m told a handful of talent brought back in the “rehiring wave” over the summer have underperformed and severely underwhelmed Triple H & others since returning to the company.

BREAKING: Mandy Rose Released By WWE

So much for that. There are all kinds of wrestlers on the WWE roster and it can be quite the competition to see who can make it to the top. You can see a star in the making when WWE decides to push someone to the moon. That can be the case on the main roster or in NXT, but every now and then someone has the rug pulled out from underneath them, which seems to have been done again.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: Wrestling Fans Make Roman Reigns Part Of Their Wedding Reception
According to Fightful.com, Mandy Rose has been released from WWE. The release was possibly due to risque content posted to her FanTime page, which WWE felt was outside the parameters of her contract. Rose, who has been with WWE since 2015, lost the NXT Women’s Title to Roxanne Perez this week on NXT, ending her title reign after 413 days. The title change was said to have been an “abrupt” decision.
Rose had a heck of a run. Check out some of her time in WWE:

WATCH: Wrestling Fans Make Roman Reigns Part Of Their Wedding Reception

That’s a high honor. Over nearly the last two and a half years, there has been no one in WWE close to the level of Roman Reigns. After winning the Universal Title in August 2020, Reigns is climbing the ranks of the longest World Champions in the company’s history. He has become one of the most dominant stars in the company’s history and now he is being acknowledged in another way.

A man named Jared Hill has posted a video to TikTok showing he and his new wife walking into their wedding reception. Hill and his wife come into the reception hall as Reigns’ theme music plays, with Hill being handed a late 1990s WWE World Title belt to raise. The bride raises her flowers up at the same time and there is nothing else wrestling related in the video.
This is pretty unique. Check out the video, plus what Reigns has been doing lately:

Catch You Later? WWE Star Hints She Might Be Leaving For A Bit

There’s the next step? WWE wrestlers appear on television on such a regular basis that eventually they are going to start feeling a bit stale. There are only so many ways to keep things fresh and sometimes one of the best ways is to have them go away for a bit. That seems to be the case with a current Monday Night Raw star, who is hinting at taking a break of her own.

Over the last few weeks, Monday Night Raw’s Asuka has been hinting at making a change in her career. This week, she wrestled without wearing face paint for the first time in years. Now, following her loss to Rhea Ripley on this week’s Monday Night Raw, Asuka has sent out a tweet saying that “I’ll be on a trip for a while.” There is no word on if this means Asuka will be missing time from WWE television or what she will be doing when she gets back.

Vince McMahon Reportedly Faces New Financial Demands Over Sexual Assault Allegations

Even more. Earlier this year, the wrestling world was rocked by the announcement that Vince McMahon was under an official WWE investigation over allegations of inappropriate relationships with various women. McMahon was accused of using company funds to pay the women for their silence, spending millions of dollars in the process. McMahon officially retired from WWE in July, but things are not done yet.

According to the Wall Street Journal, two more women are seeking payment from McMahon over allegations of sexual assault. First, former WWE referee Rita Chatterton is demanding $11.75 million from McMahon. Chatterton accused McMahon of sexual assault in 1986 though no charges were ever filed.

How Much? Sasha Banks’ New Japan Contract Reportedly Beats Chris Jericho’s

That’s a lot. One of the most up and down stories of this year has been that of Sasha Banks. After walking out on WWE in May, Banks has still yet to return and as of last week, was reportedly “done” with the company. Instead she will be heading to New Japan Pro Wrestling beginning in January, and now we know some more interesting details about the entire situation.

According to Voices Of Wrestling, Banks will be appearing for New Japan on a per appearance basis, “at the highest price” that the company has ever paid anyone. This includes even more than Chris Jericho, who according to Wrestling Observer Radio, was making $100,000 per appearance, starting in 2018. Banks is set for multiple dates with New Japan, but she will be able to work on other projects, including AEW if she likes. There is no word on Banks working in any American promotions at the moment.
