A Tribute To Insult? Grayson Waller Takes Surprising Shot At Shawn Michaels After NXT

I guess he isn’t a fan. WWE has been undergoing a variety of changes in recent months and there is nothing to suggest that those changes are going to be ending anytime soon. While several of these changes have been taking place on the main roster, there have also been multiple changes in NXT. One of them does not seem to have set well with a top NXT star though and he let fans know about it this week.

The ending segment of this week’s NXT saw Grayson Waller call out NXT Champion Bron Breakker for a fight. Breakker appeared and speared Waller, only to knock himself unconscious as Waller revealed that he was wearing a bullet proof vest. Following the show, Waller tweeted a photo of the ending, plus a photo of Bret Hart doing the same thing to Goldberg in 1999. Waller said “That was for all the flops backstage at NXT that kiss Shawn Michaels ass every single day”. Michael..

We are almost done with the year and won’t have another live show until January, as this week and next week are taped in advance. The big story coming out of last week is Roxanne Perez winning the Women’s Title from Mandy Rose, who is already gone from the promotion in a surprise. That is going to lead to some fallout so let’s get to it.
We open with a long recap of Perez winning the Women’s Title over Rose last week.
Opening sequence.
Carmelo Hayes vs. Axiom Trick Williams is here with Hayes. Feeling out process to start with Axiom’s headlock being countered into a headscissors. Back up and Axiom misses a kick to the head but grabs a northern lights suplex for two. Hayes’ springboard cutter misses hard though and we take a break. We come back with Axiom in control and grabbing a waistlock. That’s reversed into a crossface but Axiom slips away without much trouble.

Not Interested: Fans Sound Off On Speculation Of Eva Marie WWE Return (And They Aren’t Happy)

That sounds negative. There have been a lot of WWE returns in recent months and there is nothing to suggest that they are slowing down. There are some stars who have garnered quite the positive reaction, but not everyone has been that well received. Now another name is being rumored for a return and the response on social media has been quite negative to say the least.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Homecoming: More Details On Surprise WWE Return
Earlier this week, a rumor started to circulate that Eva Marie may be on her way back to WWE. While this is still seen as purely speculative and based off of Marie liking a tweet about WWE returns, social media has reacted anyway. Several reactions have been negative, with fans voicing their opinions about they do not want Marie back in the company. Here are some of the reactions:

Shorthanded: AEW To Be Missing Some Top Stars In Coming Weeks

It might be a bit. There are all kinds of talented wrestlers on the AEW roster, who have come together to help make the company as popular as it is. The company has been built around several different styles of wrestling, some of which have been around the promotion since the beginning. There is not room for everyone on the roster though, and now some of them will be missing in action for a bit.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Big Fans: Wendy’s Has A Prediction For AEW Best Of Seven Series
According to PWInsider.com, some AEW stars will be missing from upcoming editions of Dynamite due to international commitments. First, Sammy Guevara, Tay Melo and FTR will all be missing from the December 28 edition of Dynamite as they will be competing for AAA in Mexico that night. Second, Kenny Omega and FTR will not be at the January 4 Dynamite as they will be in Japan for NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17. Everyone should be back as usual following these dates.
That is some talent to have missing. Check out the ..

Homecoming: More Details On Surprise WWE Return

It’s all about the details. There have been several surprise returns to WWE this year, some of which have been almost shocking. It means a lot when a former star makes a return to WWE, and another one happened this week. Another former NXT champion made a surprise return, albeit this time on the main roster, and now we know a bit more about how everything went down.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: Former WWE Star Teases Third Run With Company
This week on Monday Night Raw, Bronson Reed made a surprise return to Wwe, helping Miz defeat Dexter Lumis in a ladder match. According to Fightful Select, Reed was a “priority hire” for WWE under the Triple H regime, with Reed leaving New Japan, where he had been working as Jonah, to return. While Reed has not wrestled since October, he has been talking about New Japan’s January 4 Wrestle Kingdom event to hide a potential WWE return. Reed is a former NXT North American Champion but was released from WWE in August 2021.

WRESTLING RUMORS: Former WWE Star Teases Third Run With Company

One more time? There have been a lot of wrestlers coming in and out of WWE over the years, some of whom have had much better success than others. While some might not have done so well, they might have left quite the impression. Those are names who can be very noteworthy themselves, and one of the more noteworthy names might be teasing another WWE run.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: That’s A Lot: Mandy Rose Reportedly Making Eye Popping Numbers On Subscription Site
According to Ringside News, Eva Marie may be teasing a return to WWE. This comes after Marie liked a tweet from Sean Ross Sapp talking about former stars making WWE returns. Marie has wrestled for WWE in two different stints, with the most recent coming in 2021, though she was released later in the same year. There is no word on if WWE is interested in bringing Marie back.
Marie has done a lot during her time in WWE. Check out what she has done before:

That’s A Lot: Mandy Rose Reportedly Making Eye Popping Numbers On Subscription Site

That’s a lot. Wrestlers can do a lot of things to improve their standing in a promotion and, in theory at least, make more money. That is the kind of thing that can be rather tricky as wrestlers have to figure out what fans want and then act accordingly. Now another wrestler is doing just that, and it seems to be going incredibly well, even if it has nothing to do with wrestling whatsoever.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Not Him: WWE Pulls Hall Of Famer From ECW Tribute Show
Last week, WWE released Mandy Rose, reportedly over a series of controversial photos and videos Rose released on her FanTime subscription site. According to TMZ Sports, Rose has made $500,000 since being released, which could double as soon as Christmas Day on Sunday. Rose, 32 years old, has given no indication of when or if she will resume her wrestling career.

Big Fans: Wendy’s Has A Prediction For AEW Best Of Seven Series

They have a fan. AEW has come a long way in just a few years’ time. The company was only announced at the beginning of 2019 and debuted later in the year, but is now the second biggest wrestling promotion in the United States. That is quite the impact, and it seems that they have gotten the attention of a rather large restaurant chain with a sense of humor.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Still Elite: Update On Kenny Omega’s AEW Contract
The latest edition of Being The Elite features AEW stars the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega (the Elite) drinking from Wendy’s cups. The Wendy’s Twitter account then sent out an image saying that Wendy’s is now All Elite. Wendy’s went on to say that their burgers are squares, and squares have four sides, while triangles have three, meaning they picked the Elite to defeat the Death Triangle 4-3. This comes as the Elite and the Death Triangle are in the middle of a best of seven series for the AEW Trios Titles, with the Elite currently down 3-1. The Wendy’s account..

REVIEW: New Year’s Revolution 2006: He Did It Before

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?

We’ve got a one match show here and that doesn’t exactly instill me with confidence. This show is all about the Elimination Chamber, with John Cena defending the Raw World Title against five challengers. The only other match of note on the card is Big Show vs. HHH, but it’s a far cry from the main event. Let’s get to it.
The opening video only focuses on the Chamber..

Not Him: WWE Pulls Hall Of Famer From ECW Tribute Show

They’re the big ones. WWE is the largest and most powerful wrestling company in the world, meaning they are where several wrestlers want to wind up. Some wrestlers are talented and valuable enough to keep around after their in-ring careers are over and get to stick with the company in a backstage role. One such star was unable to attend a special show as a result.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: It Would Be A Record: WWE Hall Of Famer Wants To Return After 21 Years For Royal Rumble
Over the weekend, Battleground Championship Wrestling presented its “Tribute To The Extreme” event at the 2300 Arena (formerly the ECW Arena) in Philadelphia. According to PWInsider.com, ECW legend and current NXT coach D-Von Dudley was pulled from his scheduled appearance at the show. Dudley was scheduled to appear at the convention before the event as well as in Bully Ray’s corner for Ray’s match later that night. The promotion received a letter from WWE, which took issue with an ECW tribute show airing, but the ..
