WATCH: Seth Rollins Opens Up On The Future Of Becky Lynch’s Acting Career

She has potential. One of the most common criticisms of wrestlers is that they are only acting. Wrestlers are seen as people playing roles in fake stories. At the same time, they are rarely given credit for their acting skills, as they are often told that they are wrestlers instead of actors. You will occasionally see the two paths cross, and now another top WWE star may be interested in such a move.

Earlier this year, WWE star Becky Lynch appeared on the third season debut of Young Rock. Lynch’s husband Seth Rollins was interviewed by WQAD News (ABC affiliate in Moline, Illinois) where he talked about Lynch’s acting career. Rollins said that Lynch’s acting career is starting to “perk up a little bit and that’s where she wants to go”. He went on to say that if the two eventually went “out west”, so be it, though they would be fine to stay where they are. Lynch has dabbled in acting on and off throughout her t..

Crossing company lines. The rise of AEW has changed the wrestling world. After years of WWE dominating the industry, AEW has offered a new platform for the wrestlers and fans to go. There are several prominent stars on the AEW roster, including many former WWE names. A WWE star has now posted a video of herself and her significant other, a member of the AEW roster, getting ready to work.

WWE’s Rhea Ripley has posted a video her of herself and her boyfriend, AEW’s Buddy Matthews, training in the gym. The video shows Matthews spotting Ripley as she lifts weights and encourages her during the workout. This comes as Ripley is being portrayed as the on-screen girlfriend of Dominik Mysterio on Monday Night Raw. Matthews is currently part of the House Of Black in AEW.

Almost: WWE Faces Visa Issues Preventing World Champion From Working WrestleMania

They have a plan. Wrestling has a long history of having athletes from other sports coming in to try their hand in the squared circle. It offers an easy concept for fans to grasp and might bring some other fans from the other sport over with them. Now it seems that WWE has their eye on bringing back a champion from another sport who has worked with them in the past.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: It Was Messy: Four Top Stars Miss WWE Live Event In “Complete Nightmare”
According to the US-Sun, WWE wants World Heavyweight Boxing Champion Tyson Fury to work with them in the new year but his visa issues are causing issues. The issue with the Fury has been linked to Daniel Kinahan, an Irish mob boss, who founded Fury’s representation company. Both WWE and Fury’s legal team are trying to work the situation out. The plan would be for Fury appear at the Royal Rumble to set up a match at WrestleMania. There is no word on what Fury would be doing or who he would be facing.

It Was Messy: Four Top Stars Miss WWE Live Event In “Complete Nightmare”

It can happen to anyone. There are all kinds of events on WWE’s calendar every year, as the company runs its shows all over the country. Some of them are not held in front of television cameras and are just there for the live fans in attendance. That can make for some special moments, but a recent show was memorable for some rather negative reasons.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Could Be Awhile: Missing AEW Star Addresses Absence From Company
This past Monday, WWE ran a pair of live events on the same night, with one show taking place in New York City while the other was held in Columbus, Ohio. However, according to PWInsider.com, several stars missed the Columbus event due to travel issues. Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Bobby Lashley and Alexa Bliss all missed the show. In addition, according to Fightful Select, several other talents were late to the event. The show’s main event had to be changed from Rollins vs. Austin Theory to Theory vs. Damian Priest vs. Johnny Gargano for the US Title.

Could Be Awhile: Missing AEW Star Addresses Absence From Company

It might be a bit. With so many talented wrestlers on the AEW roster, it can be difficult for everyone to find television time. At some point, a wrestler is going to be left off of television for one reason or another, some of which can be rather negative. This time a star is missing, but the only thing we know about it is that he does not seem overly bothered by his own absence.

Spears responded, saying “don’t hold your breath…not going there anytime soon.” Spears has only wrestled once for AEW since May, appearing on the October 14 Rampage. There is no word on any issues between AEW and Spears. He and his wife Cassie Lee, formerly known as Peyton Royce in WWE, are expecting their first son in the new year.

We’re taped again this week to close out the year. With about five weeks to go before Vengeance Day, there is quite a bit of time to fill and some of that will have to be covered tonight. This week’s show will feature a North American Title match, as Wes Lee defends against Tony D’Angelo. Let’s get to it.
Julius Creed is ready to prove a point against JD McDonagh, even if Brutus Creed ate all of the green bean casserole.
JD McDonagh is glad that the holidays are over so people don’t have to pretend they like their families anymore.
Julius Creed vs. JD McDonagh Julius’ brother Brutus is here. Feeling out process to start, though McDonagh claims a pull of the hair. They fight over arm control until Julius bounces off the rope to armdrag him outside. That means a drop onto the announcers’ table but McDonagh is back up with a posting as we take a break.

That Takes Guts: How Brock Lesnar Was Reportedly Called Out To Fight Backstage At WWE Event

That could have been interesting. Throughout its history, wrestling has drawn athletes from other sports into its ranks. It makes sense, as wrestling needs to keep its rosters fresh and bringing in other sports’ stars can help make the process easier. In recent years, mixed martial arts has served as a pipeline to wrestling, with several stars coming from the sport. Now a new story is being told about how an MMA fighter/wrestler almost had to prove himself.

Back at Crown Jewel 2019, world boxing champion Tyson Fury made his in-ring wrestling debut, defeating Braun Strowman via countout. Brock Lesnar was also on the show, where he defeated former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez to retain the WWE Title. During a 2019 interview with Fury’s brother Tommy, IFL TV host Kugan Cassius revealed that one of Tyson’s corner men nearly got in a backstage fight with Lesnar.

Here’s Looking At You: Wrestling Fans React To Roman Reigns Breaking The Fourth Wall

He has our attention. Roman Reigns has dominated WWE for the last two plus years with one of the longest World Title reigns the company has ever seen. As he smashes back one challenger after another, the question has become just who can actually stop him. This time around, it seems that Reigns might have an idea in place for a special move before someone can come against him.

During his speech, Reigns asked Sami Zayn, his partner in the match, what they could expect. Zayn spoke about how much he wanted to get rid of Owens, his longtime associate, once and for all. Two Stars In A Pod: How Being Seen As “The Next Sting” Kicked Off A Legendary Career

That is some high praise. Wrestling has been around for a very long time now and history has played an important role in developing new stars. Promoters are going to try to recreate something that they have done with success before and will often try to find their next star. Now we know how one of the biggest stars of all time got his start because of a previous star.

During a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that Paul Heyman helped get John Cena called up from WWE developmental in 2002. Heyman felt that Cena was the next Sting, a label that has been applied to Cena by various sources over the years, including around the time of his call up. Cena would debut in a segment and match with Kurt Angle on June 27, 2002.

REVIEW: Starrcade 1998: It All Comes Crashing Down

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net, starting today. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be?

It’s the biggest show of the year and I don’t know how many people know about it. I don’t remember the same show feeling so different just a year later. Last year Starrcade felt like an event rather than just a wrestling show. This year it feels like it could be a Clash of the Champions TV special instead of the biggest show of the year. I have a very ..
