WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Possibly Spoils NXT Reunion On The Main Roster

That would be a change. You never know when you might see someone return to WWE after a long hiatus and it can make for quite the fun moment. Occasionally someone will pop in after a long hiatus and find something new to do in the company. That was the case back at the Royal Rumble and now it seems that one of the returning superstars might be bringing someone with her.

Chelsea Green made her surprise return to WWE in the Women’s Royal Rumble and has since continued to appear on the main roster, portraying a “Karen” like character. As shown by a fan in a tweet, Green’s entrance graphics contain an RS logo, which is the same logo for the Robert Stone brand in NXT. Green is a former member of the Robert Stone Brand before being called up to the main roster for the first time. There has been no mention of Stone on the main roster and no word on when or if he might debut.

NXT LVL Up Results – February 10, 2023

NXT LVL Up
Date: February 10, 2023
Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida
Commentators: Byron Saxton, Blake Howard
So somehow, we’re coming off what was an actually entertaining episode last week. If they can keep up that energy this week, it should be another breeze of the show. What makes it more confusing is that it shouldn’t be hard to send in another middle of the road star to boost things up a bit. Let’s get to it.
Opening sequence.
We meet new commentator Blake Howard.
Tank Ledger vs. Kale Dixon They trade wristlocks to start until Ledger takes him down with an armbar. An armdrag sets up another armbar and a World’s Strongest Slam gives Ledger two. Dixon manages to send him into the corner though and a neckbreaker gets two. Ledger fights out of a chinlock and a cartwheel into a splash gets another near fall. The running powerslam finishes Dixon at 4:59.
Result: Tank Ledger b. Kale Dixon – Running powerslam (4:59)

Uh Oh: Backstage Belief On Vince McMahon’s Involvement With WWE Sale

e Now it seems that McMahon’s involvement is raising yet another question.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Family Reunion? Former WWE Star Reveals Plans For Him To Be Kane’s Other Brother
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the belief in WWE is that McMahon is a hindrance instead of a benefit in the negotiations to sell the company. This is a problem as McMahon is the company’s largest shareholder and would be the largest financial beneficiary in the event of a sale, which is why he is involved in the process. There is no word on the process of the sale, with negotiations still ongoing.
McMahon has caused some issues before. Check out some of his problems in WWE:

Street Profits – Eagles Baron Corbin – Chiefs The Miz – Chiefs Ricochet – Eagles Dolph Ziggler – Chiefs Bobby Lashley – Chiefs Madcap Moss – Eagles Austin Theory – Chiefs Sarah Schriber – Chiefs Ashante Thee Adonis – Eagles Top Dolla – Chiefs B-Fab – Eagles Tegan Nox – Doesn’t Care Editor’s Opinion:
Most of the superstars interviewed are riding with the Chiefs, which I totally get because they have Patrick Mahomes. However, I’ve thought that, for the most of the year, the Eagles have been the most complete team with that explosive office, under Jalen Hurts. Because of the fact that I think the Eagles have..

Backstage Segment with Santos Escobar and Rey Mysterio; Face Turn Hinted?

Mutual respect. After Smackdown went off the air this past week, WWE shot and released some footage of Santos Escobar and Rey Mysterio backstage. They showed mutual respect for each other, as well as exchanged Lucha masks.
You can see the clip below:

Both Escobar and Mysterio competed in a Fatal-4-way match to determine the No. 1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship. Both Escobar, Mysterio, along with Karrion Kross would come up on the losing end of the battle, while Madcap Moss would pick up the victory. He will face Gunther next week for the championship.
In the clip, Escobar talked about being a little kid and watching Mysterio with his father. Escobar said all he wanted was to take Mysterio’s legacy and make it his and then talked about the respect he has for Mysterio for being “all about lucha.” Both men exchanged masks to show mutual respect.
Editor’s Opinion:
This is very cool, as I know how much Lucha means to both sup..

Him Too: Another AEW Star Injured, Misses Scheduled Match

That explains a bit. There are all kinds of reasons for a wrestler to be out of action and one of the most common is an injury. You never know when someone is going to go on he shelf and it can keep them away from the ring for quite awhile. Occasionally you will see a promotion do something to hide the injury but now we know about another wrestler who needs some time off.
Defy Wrestling has announced that AEW’s Eddie Kingston is injured and was forced out of his scheduled match on Saturday. F4WOnline.com is reporting that Kingston suffered the injury last Wednesday, though there is no word on what happened. Kingston did not appear live on either AEW show this week. He has not wrestled since the Jay Briscoe tribute show on January 18.

Family Reunion? Former WWE Star Reveals Plans For Him To Be Kane’s Other Brother

That would have been different. There are several different ways to introduce a new wrestler and one of the most successful is to have them introduced as part of a wrestling family. It is an idea that has worked over the years and still does to this day. Now we are hearing a story about an idea that would have seen a wrestling family grow even larger than it already is.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He’s Up: WWE And AEW Set For Likely Bidding War Over International Star
Former WWE star Matt Morgan was a guest on Insight With Chris Van Vliet and revealed that he was going to be introduced as Kane’s brother Abel. During his time in OVW, then WWE’s developmental system, Morgan was told to wrestle in a mask to get him used to using one. There is no word on why WWE did not use Morgan in the role. Morgan also made it clear that this was not the same storyline as the Impostor Kane, which took place in 2006.

He’s Up: WWE And AEW Set For Likely Bidding War Over International Star

He’s worth the fight. While WWE and AEW are the two biggest wrestling promotions in the world, there are all kinds of talented stars outside of those two companies. It can mean a lot when one of those stars becomes available, if nothing else because the two promotions very well may in up in a bidding war. While not confirmed yet, there is a real chance that we will be seeing another one.

It Was His Call: More On Baron Corbin/JBL Split, Why The Angle Was Canceled

Pull the plug. There are all kinds of ways to present a storyline in wrestling and some of them are a lot more effective than others. You can tell when something is working, but it can take a little longer to figure out that something is missing. When these things finally hit rock bottom though, it is often time to get rid of them and that is what happened with a recent Monday Night Raw story.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Read The Fine Print: Why Two Monday Night Raw Superstars Have Been Absent From Shows
Earlier this week on Monday Night Raw, John Bradshaw Layfield cut ties with Baron Corbin, ending their association. This led to reports that Layfield would not be back on WWE TV for the time being. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Triple H pulled the plug on the story as he didn’t feel it was working. The story started after Layfield wanted to help rebuild Corbin after his latest losing streak, starting last fall.

Read The Fine Print: Why Two Monday Night Raw Superstars Have Been Absent From Shows

That’s a good out. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it is impossible to find something for all of them to do every week. WWE only has so much television time and at some point, someone has to be be left off of a show. In some situations, that is a plus for the wrestlers, and now we know a bit more about how two stars got a special addition to their contracts.
