No Wasting Time: WWE Considers Changes For Next WarGames Match

They want to make some adjustments. WWE is a major wrestling promotion and that is partially due to the kinds of adjustments they occasionally make. Sometimes something is not going right and a change is needed. That can make some of their ideas better, which is what they seem to be doing again, as WWE has debuted a new match type and already thinks it needs some tweaking.

Impact Wrestling Results – December 1, 2022

Impact Wrestling
Date: December 1, 2022
Location: Old Forester’s Paristown Hall, Louisville, Kentucky
Commentators: Tom Hannifan, Matthew Rehwoldt
We are back to the regular show after last week’s Thanksgiving special. That means we need to start getting ready for whatever the December show will be, plus Hard To Kill. The latter of these shows will likely be headlined by Bully Ray challenging Josh Alexander for the World Title, but we need something else besides that. Let’s get to it.
The opening recap looks at Bully Ray teasing being good and then going all evil as he goes after the World Title.
Here is Bully Ray, complete with the broken Call Your Shot trophy to get things going. He isn’t sure if these Kentuckians will understand him so he tries to keep it simple. Ray shows up at Bound For Glory, ran the gauntlet, and earned the title shot. He told Josh Alexander that he was coming for him on January 13 and they shook hands, with Alexander accepting the match. The fans chant for A..

Well Who Hasn’t: How Vince McMahon Spent $30,000 On Worms

That’s a lot of money. WWE has long since been the world’s biggest and most dominant wrestling promotion. The company has more money than it knows what to do with, which has led to some questionable spending choices before. Some of these are absolutely bizarre but now we might have the most out there decision that wound up costing WWE tens of thousands of dollars.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: HIM? WWE Discusses Possible Men’s Royal Rumble Winner (And It’s A Big One)
During a new interview with the Wrestling Perspective Podcast, former WWE creative team member and MLW owner Court Bauer told a story about the Boogeyman. At the time, Boogeyman was feuding with John Bradshaw Layfield, who was in the ring when Boogeyman caused worms to rain from the ceiling. Layfield wound up rolling around in worms and Bauer says Vince McMahon found the visual hilarious. McMahon then asked how much the worms cost and a writer’s assistant said that due to the worms being organic, the stunt cost $30,000. Bauer a..

HIM? WWE Discusses Possible Men’s Royal Rumble Winner (And It’s A Big One)

That would be different. We are coming up on the end of the year and that means it is time to start getting ready for the Road To WrestleMania. In this case that means we are going to be in search of the next challenger to Roman Reigns, who could be crowned in the men’s Royal Rumble. That is a big spot to fill and now we might know who could be getting the win to set up WrestleMania.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is planning to have the Rock be part of the Royal Rumble, as well as discussions about having him win the men’s Royal Rumble. This would be used to set up the main event of WrestleMania 39 with Rock challenging Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title. It should be noted that nothing is set in stone yet, including the Royal Rumble winner, as WWE is waiting to find out about Rock’s schedule. WWE likes to have the main event of WrestleMania locked up by mid-January and would need to know Rock’s plans by then.
Rock has some history at the Royal Rumble..

Perfect Timing: AEW’s Saraya Undergoes Ironic Surgery

Now that’s irony. Wrestlers have a tough time with their in-ring careers as they can get rather banged up from one match after another. Those things can lead to a variety of health issues which can shorten the wrestlers’ careers. At the same time though, there are other medical issues that can come up which have nothing to do with what happens in the ring. Those situations can be quite problematic as well, and now an AEW star is dealing with such an issue.

AEW’s Saraya has revealed that she had to have her wisdom teeth removed, which took place right around the same time as she was about to wrestle Britt Baker, a real life dentist. Saraya also confirmed that Baker did not perform the surgery, but she did send Baker a video when she was coming out of anesthesia, blaming her for the issues. There is no word on how long Saraya will be missing from AEW TV. Her video was also uploaded to Twitter.

Not A Fan: Former WWE Creative team Member SLAMS Recent Title Match

He’s not a fan. We are moving away from Survivor Series, which was one of the biggest shows of the year. The card featured a variety of matches and stars up and down the show, some of which were better than others. With so many people watching the show, there are going to be some who like it more than others, and in this case, a former WWE employee was not happy with what he saw.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Considers Special Legend Shows For WrestleMania 39
One of the matches at Survivor Series saw Ronda Rousey successfully defend her SmackDown Women’s Title against Shotzi. During the latest edition of the Wrestling With Freddie podcast, former WWE creative team member Freddie Prinze Jr. blasted the match, calling it “the single worst match I have seen in I don’t know how long”. Prinze Jr. said that it was not Shotzi’s fault, but rather blaming Rousey for her wrestling getting worse, suggesting that she is either not trying or is incapable of making things work. Here..

WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Considers Special Legend Shows For WrestleMania 39

Bring them on in. We are rapidly approaching the start of the Road To WrestleMania 39 and that means it is time to get ready for the biggest events of the year. WWE puts on some of the most important shows of the year over WrestleMania weekend, but not all of them take place in the ring. Now it seems that the company is planning some more events in addition to their regular wrestling cards.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Other Way: WWE Makes Another Policy Change (And This One Might Not Be So Popular)
According to WrestleVotes, WWE wants additional interactive shows throughout WrestleMania weekend. These shows would be similar to Undertaker’s 1DeadMan show, with fans participating and the featured star telling stories. Shows featuring Steve Austin and Trish Stratus have been discussed but there is nothing to suggest that anything has been finalized. WrestleMania 39 is scheduled for April 1 and 2, 2023.
I’m told WWE is looking into having additional shows throughout WrestleMania weekend ..

Ouch: Current AEW Champion Working Through Painful Injury

That’s the real part. Injuries can take place at any time in wrestling and there is no way to prevent some of them. Sometimes a wrestler is going to get hit in the wrong way and something is going to be damaged completely by accident. Those can cause some serious problems, but in this case, an injured wrestler is working through a rather painful injury, albeit with some extra protection.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Go Your Own Way: Speculation Over William Regal Jumping Back From AEW To WWE
The main event of this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite saw the Elite defeat the Death Triangle in a six man tag, bringing their best of seven series to a score of 2-1 in favor of Death Triangle. The match saw Pac wrestle with a face mask on, which according to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, is due to a legitimate broken nose. The injury took place at Full Gear, though there is nothing to suggest that Pac will miss any time.

The Other Way: WWE Makes Another Policy Change (And This One Might Not Be So Popular)

No more. There have been a lot of changes in WWE over this year and some of them are changes that will be felt for years to come. This starts at the top of the company, where a new power structure is in place. WWE has new leadership and that group is going to introduce policies of their own. One of the new changes might not be the most popular among the locker room.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: Upcoming Plans For Ronda Rousey (Contains Possible SPOILERS)
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is no longer giving out financial bonuses to its wrestlers. This includes bonuses for going to the Saudi Arabian shows or wrestling on a premium live event or anything else. While there may be some exceptions for top merchandise sellers like Roman Reigns, the majority of the roster is going to be making what their contract stipulates and nothing more.
