The wrestling world was buzzing as will Ospreay delivered one of the most memorable moments of AEW Dynamite this week, and it had little to do with what happened between the ropes.
The Aerial Assassin has been riding a wave of momentum after advancing through the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. With a spot in the finals secured, Ospreay is now set to face previous friend and duo partner Swerve Strickland at Forbidden Door — with major gold implications hanging in the balance.
Before that showdown, the two stars were scheduled for a crowd favorite-to-face confrontation on Dynamite. While the heated exchange between Ospreay and Strickland grabbed plenty of attention, fans were moved on from talking about an unexpected confession from the one-time IWGP World Heavyweight Titleholder.
Tony Schiavone opened the section by congratulating Ospreay on lately marrying fellow AEW star Alex Windsor. Ospreay thanked Schiavone and praised Windsor for her support, revealing that she was willing to postpone their honeymoon so he could focus on winning the tournament and pursue his dream of earning a championship opportunity at Wembley Stadium.
Ospreay then stunned both Schiavone and the audience with an NSFW remark, joking that he made up for delaying the honeymoon by spending some quality time with Windsor in their bedroom before flying to Boston. The comment moved on from Schiavone speechless in the ring as the supporters reacted loudly.
