Not Yet: WrestleMania Title Match Delayed After Controversial Finish To #1 Contenders Match
You’re up next. A long title reign can be one of the most interesting things in all of wrestling, as it opens up the question of who might be the person to take them down. Having a huge title defense can be a lot of fun as you can feel the possibility of a title change. We almost had that again, but things have gotten a little more complicated after a controversial finish.

This week on SmackDown, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus won a fatal five way match for the #1 contendership to the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania. Sheamus and McIntyre scored a double pin on Xavier Woods and LA Knight (with Karrion Kross also involved in the match) but no #1 contender was announced. The two argued in the back and later in the show, a match between the two was set for next week with the winner getting the title shot at WrestleMania.
This could be big for WrestleMania. Check out who could be fighting for the title:

Opinion: That is a bit of a bait and switch but at least they do seem to be have an idea of where the title match is going. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Sheamus and McIntyre both get the title shot but I’ll take whittling it down to two potential challengers. The match would be a good way to go for Gunther, who certainly needs a major challenger for the biggest title defense of his career.
