No More: AEW Tag Team Splits, New Stable Formed In Its Wake
It took long enough. Tag team wrestling has an interesting dynamic, as you can have two very talented wrestlers who have enough in common to make a great team. At the same time, there are often teams who are more different than similar, which can lead to issues. Those issues can even go so far as to having the team split up and that is what we saw this week.

This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite featured a face to face confrontation between Swerve In Our Glory members Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland, as moderated by hip hop mogul Rick Rock. The two had been having issues in recent weeks and hoped to work them out. During the showdown, Strickland came to the ring but told Lee to watch his back, with Parker Boudreaux attacking Lee from behind. An unnamed man (a former baseball player named Granden Goetzman, according to JJ Williams of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter) joined in to help attack Lee, with Strickland, Goetzman, Boudreaux and Ross leaving together, possibly under the name Mogul Affiliates (according to their shirts).

Opinion: I’m not sure where this is going, but AEW seems to have lost a team and gained another evil stable. That is something they have done before and apparently they are doing so again. Strickland is a very talented star and his feuding with Lee makes sense, but I’m not sure sure if Strickland needs someone to help him deal with this. Maybe the team can surprise me, but this is a bit of a strange choice.
