New Title Match Set For Summerslam

One more for the card. We are well on the way to Summerslam and that means we are starting to see a lot of the matches being made. Summerslam is a big enough show that you are going to be seeing almost every title being defended on the card. That is the kind of thing that can make the show feel important and now we have another match officially announced.

This week’s edition of SmackDown opened with Sasha Banks explaining why she attacked Bianca Belair the week before. Banks was not happy with Belair still being the SmackDown Women’s Champion, which caused Belair to come out to the ring. As a result, Banks challenged Belair for a title shot at Summerslam, which Belair accepted. Belair defeated Banks to win the title at WrestleMania 37 and has held it since.

It has been a long time coming. Check out how we got to the match:

Opinion: I don’t know how much of a surprise this was as there isn’t exactly another challenger ready for Belair at the moment. Banks getting a rematch for the title after losing it at WrestleMania is hardly a stretch and the match itself should be rather good. Belair has already done well as champion and it should be cool to see her having a title defense on the bigger stage.

What do you think of the match? Who leaves with the title? Let us know in the comments below.
