More On What Led To Shane McMahon’s WWE Departure

It’s a little more complicated. There are a lot of people involved in putting WWE together and several of them have authority. Having so many people with the power to change a show can make things complicated. One person has to be in charge of the whole situation though and in WWE’s case, that is Vince McMahon. If he makes a decision, it is usually the final call, which is what led to an important situation this week.

Earlier this week, news broke that Shane McMahon had been sent home from WWE following reports of issues involving how he put together the men’s Royal Rumble match last weekend. Shane had reportedly wanted to make the match about himself, but that was not how things went. According to PWInsider.com, Shane had been frustrated that several of his ideas had been shot down by Vince, and that he did not get to have the focus in the match that he wanted. There is no word on if or when Shane will return to WWE.

Opinion: This is the kind of story that actually seems like a big shakeup, as for once it feels like WWE is doing something for the locker room. Shane’s involvement did not seem like it was something that was well received and now it comes off like WWE is listening for a change. Hopefully this has some positive effects on the company, as WWE has been needing to change things up a bit.
