Liv Morgan is once again WWE Women’s World Defending champion after defeating Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch in a Triple Threat Contest at WWE Money in the Bank 2026.
The gold changed hands during Saturday night’s premium live pay-per-view at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, bringing Vaquer’s reign to an end following a competitive encounter involving three of WWE’s top women’s stars.
All three competitors enjoyed periods of momentum throughout the clash, with several near-falls keeping the outcome uncertain.
Morgan gained an early advantage by delivering the Three Amigos suplexes to Lynch, while Vaquer answered with a series of backbreakers and running double knee strikes in her effort to retain the strap.
Lynch additionally came close to capturing the title after connecting with a double DDT on both opponents, although neither subsequent pinfall attempt resulted in a three-count.
The action eventually moved outside the ring, where Lynch brought a table into play.
Lynch and Vaquer briefly signed with forces to target Morgan, on the flip side their temporary alliance swiftly broke down as both women continued pursuing the prize.
Later in the contest, Vaquer delivered a twisting moonsault to Morgan and showed up poised to retain her belt. Yet, Lynch prevented the referee from completing the count by pulling the official out of the ring.
The closing sequence saw Vaquer and Lynch exchange offense on the ring apron, with Vaquer delivering several headbutts before sending Lynch crashing through the table positioned at ringside.
With Lynch temporarily taken out of the equation, Morgan seized her opportunity.
Morgan caught Vaquer with Oblivion inside the ring and immediately followed up with the pinfall to secure the victory and become the latest WWE Women’s World Defending champion.
The result ends Vaquer’s belt reign and returns Morgan to the top of WWE’s women’s division.
Morgan’s victory moreover comes on the same night Tiffany Stratton claimed the 2026 Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Encounter, earning a pact that guarantees her a future Women’s Crown opportunity.
With Stratton now holding the briefcase, Morgan’s newly won crown could become a potential target for a Money in the Bank cash-in.
