Judy Poffo, Mother Of Randy Savage, Passes Away At Age 90
According to a late night tweet by former professional wrestler Lanny Poffo, his mother Judy has passed away at the age of 90. She was also, of course, the mother of wrestling legend Randy Savage (Poffo) and the wife or wrestling legend Angelo Poffo.

Judy was the wife of Angelo Poffo. She and Angelo were married just shy of 61 years when he passed away. They lived a fairly normal life despite Angelo’s professional wrestling career. The couple was the subject of a 1963 article by Warren Collier, At Home with the Angelo Poffos. The article detailed the life of Angelo, a full time teacher in Chicago and only part time wrestler.
Even after Angelo’s retirement, Judy remained connected to the wrestling world. Their sons Lanny and the late Randy Poffo both enjoyed successful careers as professional wrestlers.
Randy, the older of the two Poffo sons, is easily one of the most recognizable characters in wrestling. He gained notoriety as the larger than life “Macho Man” Randy Savage. He passed away from cardiovascular disease in 2011 at the age of 58.
Lanny, the younger of the Poffo sons, enjoyed considerable success as “Leaping” Lanny Poffo and The Genius, a poetry reciting heel. He currently is a children’s author whose work brings awareness to drugs and alcohol.
