Jim Cornette Arrives In Global Force; WWE Star Out Until December
Scott Dawson Undergoes Surgery
Scott Dawson, one half of The Revival, underwent surgery today to repair his torn biceps. It’s being reported that Dawson will be out of action until December with the injury and rehab. Although The Hardys are being storyline credited with the injury, it actually happened during a match between The Revival and the RAW Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Cesaro.
Jim Cornette Returns To Impact Wrestling
It’s 1985 all over again. At tonight’s Impact tapings in Orlando for Global Force Wrestling, Jim Cornette made his triumphant return to the wacky world of pro wrestling as a “corporate specialist” for Anthem.

Corny’s return happened during an angle involving Bruce Prichard trying to return the GFW World Title, which was stripped from Alberto El Patron earlier this month, to former champion Bobby Lashley. Cornette proceeded to then fire Bruce Prichard and apparently take the reins of Impact.
Maybe I’m in the minority, here, but I don’t think bringing in someone as polarizing as Jim Cornette into a promotion that’s trying to rebuild and rebrand in 2017 is the best idea. He’s not exactly mainstream, to say the least, but then again, with some of the shenanigans from Anthem, Jarrett, and their band of merry men these days, maybe good old Corny will fit right in.
Gotta feel a bit sorry for the GFW roster, though…
