Generating quite a buzz in the wrestling world, Roman Reigns is now officially advertised for WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2026, with the World Heavyweight Title holder featured alone on the special event’s promotional artwork.
Survivor Series takes place on Saturday, November 28 at Daikin Park in Houston, Texas. On another front, tickets go on general sale on this day at 11 a.m. ET.
WWE has not made known what Reigns will be doing at the broadcast. His prominent position on the advertising confirms he is being promoted for the pay-per-view — but does not necessarily mean he will wrestle or compete inside WarGames.
The appearance adds another major date to Reigns’ schedule for later this year.
He was confirmed last week for Money in the Bank on October 10 at the Smoothie King Center in Brand-new Orleans. WWE has teased a potential World Heavyweight Strap match between Reigns and LA Knight at the event, although that match has not been officially shared.
Before either broadcast, Reigns has a verified strap defence coming in Mexico City.
He is set to defend the World Heavyweight Strap on the September 14 edition of Raw from Arena CDMX against the winner of a tournament featuring luchadores from Raw, SmackDown and AAA.
This year will mark the 40th edition of Survivor Series and the fifth consecutive pay-per-view to feature WarGames.
Rey Mysterio declared the tournament in his role as AAA General Manager, with the opening encounter lined up for Monday’s Raw.
It is expected to also be the second straight Survivor Series held inside a major sports stadium. Most most recent year’s spectacular took place at Petco Park in San Diego, drawing 46,016 fans and setting new Survivor Series records for attendance and gate.
Daikin Park, the home of MLB’s Houston Astros, features a retractable roof. The stadium was previously known as Minute Maid Park and hosted WWE’s Royal Rumble in 2020.
Houston most new hosted Survivor Series in 2017 at the Toyota Center. As noted by previous reports, Houston was not WWE’s original plan for this year’s event. The company explored holding Survivor Series internationally before those plans fell through —. Milwaukee’s American Family Field was also considered before the city was instead addressed as a possibility for a future year.
Reigns has considerable fresh history with WarGames. To add further context, he competed in the men’s showdown at three of the previous four Survivor Series events, appearing in 2022, 2024 and 2025.
Most recent year, Reigns teamed with Cody Rhodes, CM Punk and The Usos in a losing effort against The Vision, Brock Lesnar and Drew McIntyre.
Reigns has held the World Heavyweight Crown since defeating Punk at The showcase of the immortals 42 in April. He most in latest days retained the belt against Seth Rollins in the main show of SummerSlam night two.
