William Regal appeared on the Destruction Pieces podcast and talked about coming back to WWE after his stint in AEW. Regal returned to WWE earlier this month and is now a Vice President in the company. He reportedly returned to work with his son Charlie Dempsey in NXT and be the unofficial right hand man for Triple H. Here are some highlights, with transcription courtesy of Wrestlinginc.com:
On Coming Back To WWE
“It’s as if nothing’s ever happened and nothing’s changed in the slightest. It’s weird. Anybody listening that’s young –- I know you don’t like listening to older people –- but make the most of every second you have on this Earth, because … you get to a certain age and you hear it from all old people, time goes so quickly and we waste a lot of it.”
On Staying Away From The Limelight
“I’m doing nothing else about anything or wrestling or anything for at least a year and I’m happy with that. I’m quite happy being in the background.”
And On Not Being Allowed To Appear On WWE TV
“I’m quite happy not being in the limelight. And I have been for many years. I had my time.”
Regal is a heck of a treasure. Check out what he can do when he is on screen:

Opinion: I understand that Regal is not allowed to appear on WWE TV, but it is a shame that he is going to be away for so long. He is such a talented performer on screen, though there is so much he can offer behind the scenes. Regal being back in WWE is a heck of a perk for the company and it should be interesting to see what he can add to the next generation, if they will listen to him.
