Here’s Why Jeff Hardy Turned Down WWE’s Hall Of Fame Offer
That’s a no then. WWE has had a lot of stars over the years and some of them have done rather well during their time with the company. While several of them have won championships, a smaller number have been enshrined in the WWE Hall of Fame. For WWE stars, it is perhaps the greatest honor possible and WWE inducts a class every year. That will not be the case for one star this year and he has a very specific reason.
Last year, Jeff Hardy walked out on WWE during a match at a live event. Hardy has yet to appear for another wrestling promotion since, though according to his brother Matt, Jeff turned down an offer to return to WWE. The offer included an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame, which Jeff declined. Matt discussed Jeff’s decision during a recent Twitch stream, saying that Jeff turned the offer down because it was a solo induction rather than the Hardys team. Jeff asked about inducting the Hardys as a team, but Matt was not allowed due to his AEW contract.
Opinion: That is a rather nice thing from Jeff, who would easily be inducted into the Hall of Fame either on his own or as part of the Hardys team. Odds are he will be in both ways at some point and it would be rather nice to see Matt there with him. The team is one of the best ever and Jeff can have his own day later, but for now, it seems that we might not be seeing Jeff around WWE for a long time.
