Forgotten Superstars Who Competed in Hell in a Cell
The Hell in a Cell match is undoubtedly one of the best gimmick matches in history. There have numerous instant classics contested within the Cell. Who can forget Undertaker v. Big Boss Man? Or Undertaker v. Kane?
There have been 36 different matches, with more than 20 wrestlers having been inside the Cell. It’s easy to forget some of the guys who sacrificed their bodies in the Devil’s Playground. Here are four guys you may have forgotten competed inside Satan’s Structure.
Paul Heyman (Hell in a Cell, 2013)
In the summer of 2013, Paul Heyman betrayed his client CM Punk, so they had a big fight. Eventually, due to reasons, CM Punk would face everyone’s favorite meathead Ryback. There was a twist, though. Heyman would be teaming with Ry”Da Big Guy”Back in a 2-on-1 handicap Hell in a Cell match.
Heyman, being a manager, avoided the brunt of the battle by climbing on top of the Cell before the match started. The doors were locked, and he was supposedly safe from Punk. He was then treated to a bird’s eye view of Punk casually murdering Ryback in the Cell. A GTS ended the match, and Punk quickly made his way up the Cell, and he had a kendo stick with him.
Punk proceeded to whack the life out of his former manager with the Kendo stick atop of the Cell beforeĀ putting him to sleep with a GTS.
