Daniel Bryan’s Return; WWE In Japan; Hideo Itami Comments On Japan
As of now, there is no official return date set for SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan, who is still at home with wife Brie after the couple’s first child was born. Bryan has been off television since WrestleMania (and has been sorely missed on Talking Smack!). He did post the following on Twitter.

WWE has announced a September 16th live event from Osaka, Japan at the Edion Arena. These will be Smackdown events and Shinsuke Nakamura will headline. The RAW crew will be running two shows in Tokyo on June 30th and July 1st.
Speaking of Japan, NXT star Hideo Itami says he’s not heading back there. It seems as if he’s being programmed with Kassius Ohno.

Re-reading this post makes me think back a decade when Bryan and Itami (with different ring names) had one of the best matches of the year at ROH: Glory By Honor V, Night 2. It’s quite sad that neither is no longer capable of performing at that elite level and one of them (Bryan) can no longer even perform.
